  1. https://www.google.com/amp/s/catcrave.com/2020/05/05/carolina-panthers-news-matt-rhule-traded-nfl-draft/amp/ here
  2. I can’t remember specific ones during that time. There were several articles written that Marty was in love with Herbert. Stuff like this during covid there were several other articles with people saying rhule wanted to trade down and was in love with Henderson. Maybe Henderson wasn’t gonna be there but he realllllly liked him. Which is obvious because we just traded a 3rd for him.
  3. Marty was really good in the first. Just sucked at everything else. The fact rhule wanted to trade down for cj is really alarming tbh. I’ll never understand it because of what they’ve done the past two years. It makes me nervous about how they view qbs and how they evaluate just based on price and draft capital given up. They went after Stafford which is good but damn. I would’ve been cool with taking a flyer on Darnold but for a 2nd 4th 6th and 18 million 5th year option pick up? And no vet backup? Wtf are we doing? Teddy and 60 million? Wtf. These moves are compounded by price and draft capital. I get this team needed major rebuilding pieces as the team was old and expensive. I get defensive heavy drafts, I get what they’re trying to do but some of these moves have been insanely dumb to even casual football fans.
  4. We gotta sneak out a win if that’s the case. Would go a long way in getting us back in to the playoffs.
  5. I was definitely in the camp of letting cam play out his final year to see what he had left and go from there. I remember reading Marty wanted Herbert and rhule wanted to trade down for cj Henderson. He might’ve could’ve tried trading up but that’s unknown. Then skipping out on fields was a mistake. We botched this and were totally disrespectful to the most impactful player Carolina has ever had in the process. Now they’re asking cam to come save their asses. Depending on how the lead up to the draft goes I’m definitely down with a scenario where we trade down this year and still pick up someone like Malik to sit behind cam for a year or two while also bringing in another steady vet if cams health issues pop up again.
  6. yeah I’d rather just cut Sam. He’s dead weight at this point. I see no point in bringing him back in a backup role. Must be horrible in the film room. the ideal scenario is cam plays well enough to be the starter in 2022,2023 and we draft a qb in these next two drafts, to let cam mentor and show how to be a pro and go from there. That’s what we should’ve been doing from the beginning instead of cutting him but whatever.
  7. I’m trying to think of what team would actually trade for him to take on his 5th year option. Cant think of any even for us to give up a pick or two to do it. I’d rather just cut him, eat his cap next year and be done with it.
  8. There were some stats that showed based on the number of throws he’s made he’s had the worst stretch of play by any qb in this history of the sport. Like I think he was worse then clausen. This was a disaster of epic proportions based on what we gave up and the 5th year option pick up. im worried about their ability to evaluate qbs in the draft.
  9. Saw on nfl.com that kyler and Hopkins are unlikely to play per a source.
  10. Kyler practiced today apparently but is a game time decision. You’d think they’d hold him out against us to make sure he’s fully healthy for the back half and playoffs.
  11. Myles Garrett already calling him out before their game about it. DE’s around the league are gonna put him on notice.
  12. Yeah my hope was 3 or 4 with voidable year in the last one. We’ll see. I hope he balls out. He’s definitely banking on himself with the half year prove it deal. This qb room needs to be revamped in a big way next year.
  13. Gotta try. And hopefully cam is resigned next year while we keep looking for our next franchise qb. He provides stability so we don’t keep doing these dumb fuging trades for terrible qbs.
  14. Giving our young players playoff experience is extremely valuable. It’s something you build off of. I hope we get in just for that.
  15. If kyler is out we have an outside shot of winning. Kyler plays were done. We lose tomorrow we need to beat Mia, wft, falcons, saints and take one from the Bucs or bills to have a shot. It’s possible but not likely.
  16. Most people knew that if we put a good line and good receivers in front of cam that his elite qualities would put us over the top year after year. If you put a good line in front of Sam he’d still have major issues because he can’t process poo in clean pockets. He’s the worst starting qb over the past 4 years with clean pockets. That’s the difference. only thing we need for cam to be is average for this year and the defense to ball out. The line is still an issue. And will continue to be an issue for Cam. Nobody whose talked poo about how horrible Darnold said the line was good. Just that he was making a bad line much worse then they really were and just competent qb play with an easy front half schedule would’ve stacked wins for us to get into the playoffs.
  17. Naw dude got paid huge money and beat his former team. If I were him I’d retire from football.
  18. If kyler and Hopkins are out Sunday and pj is sucking bad I hope they have some packages for cam. It’s shitty and not fair to cam but if we can sneak out a win in Arizona our probability of going to the playoffs goes up pretty significantly with 3 terrible teams coming up after with wft, Miami and Atlanta after the bye. 9 wins will probably make the playoffs. that said if kyler plays don’t put in cam at all. Although cam might not even be suited up.
  19. I sometimes watch some of the talking heads opinions when we make big time signings and this Nick guy hits on it perfectly. If you move on from Cam you better be damn sure you have a plan. What we have done since has been a disaster.
  20. My favorite player of any sport of all time. He is and always will be a Carolina legend.
  21. Cam needs to walk up to the line and call the plays out whenever he gets the playbook down.
