I’m not sure if this is the norm but rhule said in his presser that he watched cams presser after the game. That struck me as weird but maybe it’s not. I don’t think rhule wanted cam back here tbh.

It’s why I said IF we make the playoffs. This defense is one you don’t want to see there. The hope is we make some sort of run like Manning’s last year in Denver with that defense or the Seahawks legion of boom with 2nd year RW/ Marshawn with the #19th ranked oline. When you have a nasty defense like we have this year there is nothing wrong with hoping for these types of runs.

Heinecke can make plays and is kind of a baller. That said if our pass rush gets home we may knock him out of the game. He’s injury prone. I just wouldn’t take him lightly.

We just matchup better against gb imo. Rodgers also chokes in the playoffs. dallas has a stout oline, can run the ball well and that’s what we’re the worst at defensively (I think we’re ranked 13th, which isn’t bad at all).

Sam Darnold is no longer the starting qb

Nobody is gonna want to play this defense. I really feel like this team is built to make a run IF we make it in. The pass rush, this secondary and shaq playing out of his damn mind. Gilmore has completely erased whoever he lines up against. If cmc can stay healthy and cam manages the game well we can be dangerous. I know it’s early but these are the types of defenses that wreck top seeded opponents in playoff games. Gotta make it there first but fun to think about.

It’s why I think he should get a statue at boa after he retires.

I think this should probably be the plan. Ween pj out of the game. Cam will have had only 10 days to learn a new system and timing with receivers against his former hc who is a great defensive coach and knows him best. I think after the bye cam gets full go against atl. I dunno. See how he does with expanded snaps this upcoming game and the week after against Miami. But cam should be the full time starter after the bye week for sure. We are lucky we’re playing not great teams the next two weeks to ease cam back in. that said the defense is gonna wreck wft offense. They are horrible which should help us out a lot.

I never thought I’d say this but if you had to choose between the two you take Gilmore even tho djax is much younger. We just have so many talented corners that it makes up for the loss of djax and having Gilmore as the steady vet. who btw is playing lights out like maybe the best player on our team. He is erasing whoever he is up against. I think Taylor is going to be a player for us. He’s shown shutdown traits just needs more playing time and experience. And hopefully cj comes along nicely as well. He played well yesterday.

No. If you read my posts in here you would know I’ve said multiple times his arm doesn’t have to be the same. He doesn’t have to be Superman. He needs to be competent. With this defense, competent qb play will win us games. you were sitting behind a keyboard telling a former mvp/heisman trophy winner and the most impactful player the panthers have had to just retire and that he’s cringe after all he’s done for this franchise and sacrificed his body. Then he signs back here and provides a spark having 2 tds on two touches and multiple first downs. Just lol at you.

This. It’s what we’ve been screaming about for weeks with Darnold. If we had competent qb play we’re stacking wins going into the hardest stretch of the season. Cam doesn’t need to be Superman anymore.

I don’t really care if he doesn’t have the arm anymore to throw that deep for a td as long as his throws give our receivers a chance to make a play.

I’m hoping Stephon’s wife talks him into taking a hometown discount. I think you have to let djax walk which sucks but Keith Taylor has shutdown traits, with horn, cj Taylor and then signing Gilmore I don’t see room for him with how much he’s gonna get and the players we need to sign like reddick and possibly cam. Next year and the one after we need to focus on oline and future qb to learn under cam if he’s back.

Rivera owns Tom Brady. also Rivera is a legit defensive coach, knows cam better than anyone and this won’t be easy. Cam is still gonna have some rust. Need the defense to continue to dismantle offenses and for us to be competent on offense.

Also that was the #4 defense in the league so I’m not sure what y’all are expecting out of a backup. He did his job.

That’s what you want out of your backup. And he picked up a handful of 1st downs on 3rd down. He played well and moved the team consistently.

It was fine. That was still on Hubbard. Pretty amazing how you defended Darnold even up to his last debacle of a game but are giving poo to a backup who played competent. Something Darnold is incapable of doing. Must suck to suck.

He turned it over once. That fumble was not on him. He put it right on chubba’s chest. Unless I’m forgetting another turnover that was it. no he’s not a starting qb but he played like a solid backup. Competent. Something Darnold couldn’t do. I’d imagine the eagles and giants game we would’ve won had pj started. We just needed competent qb play. Sam Darnold is the worst starting qb in the league.

I don’t think we’re winning the south but crazy things happen. I just want us to get into the playoffs this year. Our young guys need the experience and this fanbase desperately needs it. Remember we have one of the youngest teams in the league. Yesterday was such a huge win for our chances. We can’t take any opponent lightly the next 3 weeks. We HAVE to win these games against subpar comp or it just makes it extremely difficult. If we come out after the atl game 8-5 I think we only need 1 more win to get in. So saints, bills, Bucs x2. We win one of those last 4 we should get the final seed.
