Emotions aside I don’t know how you watch this and think rhule should get another year. The whole team is an absolute mess. We’ve regressed significantly from last year with more talent. I just don’t get how you can look at this and not want to end it immediately.

We need to blow this all up and start over.

You think rhule would trade him if he “plays good”? He’d trot his ass right back out there next year. Sam is known to play decent when poo doesn’t matter. Ask jets fans. This is bad.

Yeah everything I’ve watched from him this year, if his first read wasn’t there he’d take off and run. That may have a lot to do with the oline being terrible. He is more athletic then I thought though. Yeah but even ppl who weren’t #1 lock ppl are really down on him. I don’t trust this staff with qbs. Ideally if this staff gets another year I’d rather they just throw picks at the line, get fired, new staff comes in to find the next franchise.

What happened with Howell this year? I remember people saying this dude was a #1 lock after last year. The team around him apparently sucked really bad. Did he just not show any progression from last year?

If rhule is back we should all hope that DOES happen because we will be able to regroup with a new coach and a #1 pick for a qb. If rhule is back I hope they just go oline because I don’t want them deciding a future qb. They SUCK at evaluating.

Cam won’t get in 1st ballot but he’ll get in eventually. He’s the most prolific dual threat. But right now this is the same HOF who didn’t let TO in first ballot. TO is one the greatest wr to ever play the game. Like top 5 greatest ever. But people didn’t like him personally. It’s a joke.

Nah man. Depending on this off-season I’m not dedicating time to watching this team with this staff. It’s not quitting on the team. It’s about the coaching staff. Always love and root for the players but it’s obvious the staff are in over their heads and have turned this franchise into a clown show. The fact this head coach called our passing “excellent” with Sam Darnold tells me all I need to know. Either he doesn’t know what excellent means or he’s trying to sell a lie. I’m not buying.

Robby doesn’t say too much in pressers and spoke more about cam then I’ve ever seen him speak about anything else. id like to see Cam come back next year as a bridge to the next qb. Darnold needs to be gone.

I hope more media come out and say similar things. Put pressure on Tepper.

That level again? What level? He’s never been a starting caliber qb. im totally fine with Sam starting again so that rhule gets all the boos he deserves but this dude is a fuging dumbass.

Nobody is trading for Sam for 18 million. The whole league knows what Sam is. These last games won’t do anything.

That’s depressing

Offensive implosion this year which is directly related to how rhule has handled the qb and oline situation. Teddy is mediocre but he was competent. Like a game manager should be. Sam was literally ruining games and the oline magnified his shitty play. Teddy obviously wasn’t the answer but he was a bridge to a legit qb. They thought Sam was the answer based on giving up a 2nd and 2 other picks and picking up his 18 mil 5th option. These are fireable offenses imo. Especially when they’ve been harping on this being a rebuild and then doing the exact opposite like we’re in win now mode. It makes no sense. the defense last year wasn’t great especially on 3rd down and run defense but they did make some crucial stops in critical moments. The only two games we got legitimately blown out was the saints last game of the year and the one Bucs game. We went toe to toe with the chiefs and packers.

Only way we make the playoffs next year with rhule is if we somehow rebuild the oline in one off-season without a 2nd or 3rd rounder and get a qb that can compete now or get insanely lucky with a rookie qb who is good right out of the gate. He’s not gonna resign Cam. And even then I’m not sure rhule has what it takes. That’s the problem though. He went so defense heavy in the draft and FA the past two years that it’s going to take multiple off seasons, not just one, to build this offense and you think he’s gonna be in the playoffs next year? We’re ranked 20th against the run after two off seasons of heavy defense. That’s bad. We were honestly better last year, playing a harder schedule and competing with playoff teams then we are this year with one of the easiest schedules in the league with more talent. Getting blown out by some of the worst teams in the league. This points to coaching being the main problem and how they’ve built the team.

There were some good threads about candidates leading up to Tepper picking rhule. I didn’t want him because I didn’t think the preacher rah rah poo would work on pro athletes but you always hope for the best because it sucks to suck. If everyone is being honest last year he coached extremely well. We went toe to toe with playoff teams and were in every game and games we had no business being in from lack of talent. That chiefs game was great coaching. I really thought he was gonna be special after that. Once Darnold unraveled so did the coaching. Which is of course all on them.
