The biggest tell is ceedy scrubbing his Twitter of almost all saints poo. Unless he just got pissed because they told him he could possibly be traded but I highly doubt they would tell him beforehand. That’s a wrap for me.

I dunno about “sticking it to them” I just think he has some power and won’t roll over. I just think the leverage to up the offer doesn’t make a whole lot of sense from his perspective. We’ll see what happens tho. If watson goes elsewhere the only way I’m watching the panthers next year is if we draft Malik.

Doesn’t make sense. He already stated last year he doesn’t wanna go to a team that is crippled by what they have to give up to get him. A bidding war works against him and I think he’s passed “leaving on amicable terms” both DW and the Texans have power here. Would be stupid for him not to flex it. I get him wanting to go to Miami over us at the time because it’s Miami and they had Flores.

I don’t believe much right now and can see arguments for both sides of some of these tweets. It’s best to just not react too much and wait for deshaun to decide. I think the best point in here is the longer this goes the better it is for us and the falcons. I can see both those arguments. Not so much for the browns or saints. But again anything can happen.

Also sheena’s tweet about falcons talking about “pieces around deshaun”. Literally every team has done this that is involved. Including us.

There was one report that his camp reached out. I could see that as bullshit or true. Everyone is just picking sides based on if they want him or not.

It’s part of the reason why I think this is all a ploy to get the panthers to drive up their price. I mean they COULD do that to Matt Ryan, but it seems like they should’ve informed him which has been confirmed the report that they told him last week about this wasn’t true.

I could see the same being said for the falcons. Not NO or browns tho. they need to find a trade partner for Ryan and to get their cap in order. panther fan in me thinks this is all a giant squeeze job by the Texans with Nola and falcons benefiting by us giving up more assets but if it’s not I could see the falcons getting him too if they’re able to figure the Ryan trade and cap out, which I don’t know if they can.

Again HOU still holds a good bit of power in this. If the falcons don’t give up a sizable amount they are not going to trade him there. Like if deshaun says “I’m only waiving my NTC to the falcons” then ATL could theoretically lower their package price. HOU can just say “no their trade package isn’t near enough” If deshaun refuses and says he’ll sit next season they can go after his money. If ATL is the place you’re gonna see Matt Ryan traded today. And their trade package needs to be in the same ball park as everyone else. And they’re gonna have to do some insane moves to get their cap ready. That’s the only way. I have a feeling there is going to be two teams he waives his NTC unless! The falcons have a trade package that is gigantic like other teams, their cap is ready and Matt Ryan is traded. That’s why everyone is saying this just seems unrealistic but crazy things happen.

Oh poo ok I stand corrected. Will be interesting to see if they make some cap saving moves early today in preparation. If watson doesn’t decide today, their cap moves will tell us if they’re still in it or not.

I read they only have to clear their cap before the deadline. So they can absolutely trade for him now and deal with the cap later. I think people need to prepare themselves that he has a good chance of going there.

What do you think is the point of someone releasing that info. Could it be coming from the Texans? DW’s camp?
