Yup he believed in building the defense and letting cam play hero ball but we can’t act like Cam didn’t have a good to great supporting cast his first year. Solid o line, double trouble, Olsen and shockey and smitty. That is solid for a team that was the worst in the league the year prior.

Stroud has the frame for 220lbs. He is a prototype at 6’3”. Young does not have that frame. He will be playing 190-200lbs at 5’10”. It just is what it is. I’m not arguing for either one at this point. Be happy with either. But acting like size/weight is not a concern is stupid.

Something tj said about stroud is that he will make the #53 guy on the roster feel like he is just as important as the #1 guy on the team. Said he builds relationships with everyone. Raved about him as a person. if I had to bet cj is the guy.

I’m sure that’s the case sometimes but on sundays if you want to win championships you need a qb who can make off platform plays in crunch time like we’ve seen from both qbs, bryce more regularly.

Bryce does this poo on a regular basis. CJ has shown he CAN do it + he’s the best passer in this draft. I dunno man. Tough decision for the FO.

Georgia game kinda shattered this. I’m sure there are stats backing this up but if that Georgia game is any indication on what he can do he has a high ceiling. I’m to the point where I literally don’t care who we decide between stroud and young though. Ill be excited with either.

I think a lot of this is them lobbying for him to join the panthers not necessarily that a deal is gonna get done. I wouldn’t be surprised if we signed him at this point though.

Tbf that would concuss a lot of qbs in the nfl. Sometimes smaller guys can protect themselves better from impact. I dunno it’s certainly a big risk.

It’s so tempting to take him because he’s just a flat out playmaker but like everyone has said his frame is really scary for the nfl. I’ll still be excited to draft him and see what he can do but if we do the oline will be the #1 priority year in and year out over anything else.

I’m a huge fan of dj. I think with an above average to great qb he’s a 1500 10 td type of receiver. He got so much crap here because he “couldn’t take over games” with Sam Darnold, Kyle Allen, baker mayfield, pj walker, and Teddy bridgewater throwing him the ball. I don’t know what these people expected. A lot of this fanbase shits on fields because we passed over him but I think Fields is going to love DJ and they’re gonna do some damage. Especially if y’all fix that oline.

I don’t know why fans have to act this way whenever a really good player is traded. DJ had some of the worst qbs his entire career here and still produced 1k yard seasons. DJ is a beast and I think he’s gonna help with Fields’ continued development. I wish dj nothing but the best.
