Baker succeeds when you set up a solid run game. He is not a Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes. This game plan is extremely puzzling especially considering we have a rookie LT going up against one of the best DE’s in football. His strength is run blocking. Run the fuging ball

The playcalling is baffling. I don’t get why we aren’t trying to run the fug out of the ball with foreman and cmc

Yeah Josh Allen is soooo overrated

Allen is the closest thing to Cam I’ve seen

He was a solid player with the ravens and efflein is not good so the signing was looked at as a significant upgrade.

Taylor has looked like poo this preseason

I just read on a browns board that the offense hasn’t really played together in preseason? And the fans are expecting very vanilla playcalling while they build chemistry.

Alex smith was good on the chiefs. They still drafted Mahomes because they were looking for elite. We should be doing the same. It’ll be a shock if baker becomes elite. He’s a decent qb.

I’m hoping for the latter. I think baker is decent but we should be looking to upgrade.

We don’t have the qb to be a pass heavy team.

I’m very concerned with the run defense more than anything on this team. Baker will be adequate and I think the line will be improved from last year. Maybe not even good or even great but adequate. Baker can still make plays and has some elusiveness to him to compensate. Something Darnold was absolutely horrible at. that run defense tho. If we can’t stop the run we’re fuged. Week 1s are always a toss up but if we get gashed by a run heavy team like the browns it will not bode well for the rest of the year. 8-9 is my prediction. This schedule is really tough.
