I think it was SIGCHI. He had his work computers running bots overnight for votes. That guy was weird as hell but really cool. He had some inside info on Peppers coming back then dumbasses here talked poo to him about it and I don’t think he’s returned since that blowup.

Martellus Bennett dropping truth bombs

Eh maybe. I’ve been watching a lot of scouting reports and breakdowns of his play as a passer more than a runner. Because I don’t think he’s gonna be able to run wild quite like he did in college. Also Ill admit I’m biased because Lance is a Midwest guy and I live in the Midwest. the thing is trey should probably be a late 1st/2nd round pick just based on his rawness and lack of reps but so many teams are so desperate for a qb you have to snag him when you can for fear he’ll be taken before you can get him. That’s why I’m ok with him at 8. I get you can call this a reach but it doesn’t matter if he works out. And if he goes to the right team and is given patience I think he’ll be worth the top 10 selection. Draft is a crapshoot. If we think he’s the guy, get him.

Honestly Mahomes was kind of Johnny Manziel-esque with much better arm talent. He played backyard football at Texas tech which is why the chiefs got low grades for trading a future first to move up to 10 to snag him. Nobody doubted his arm talent but he was so incredibly raw. Bad footwork, bailed the pocket too often, gunslinger mentality, ran around and threw the ball up a lot. His teammates thought he sucked at his first training camp. Tyreek Hill said as much. Andy has said when they drafted him they thought he could be really good...eventually. It took them by surprise how quickly he became what he is today. It’s because he had the want to and took to coaching well. All of this is a toss up. What you have to do is look for traits, specifically arm talent and character stuff like the drive to be better. There are some prospects who are further along in development then others but you have to project what you think they can become. It’s a crapshoot.

I think the clausen takes comes down to strictly Wilson’s appearance looking similar to jimmy’s lol. I have no idea what parts of their games match. I’d be thrilled with Wilson or Lance. I think Lance is our best bet to be able to draft right now though. He needs to sit and get reps and learn. As others have mentioned he is a bunch of reps behind the other prospects. But what I have seen and some breakdowns the dude can make all the throws. And can make throws on the run. He does have a tendency to to throw low in the short and intermediate routes which I think will be an issue with him throughout his career. Maybe the coaching staff can fix that. But he has what you want at the next level in terms of leadership, competitiveness and nfl level physical traits.

If we had to choose between the two prospects I would agree. I do agree with what others are saying as far as being a bit jittery in the pocket at times. Mahomes was like that in college as well. Bailed the pocket unnecessarily. anyone saying Wilson is Mitch or clausen(?!? Lol) I just don’t know what they’re watching.

How close did the Panthers come to getting Stafford? Dang close.

Sean Payton has a giant ego and they gave Hill 21 million dollars making him one of the highest paid backups in the league. Winston had a 1 million dollar contract. That had something to do with it I think. Not all but some. People talked mad poo about Sean giving that kind of money to a shitty, average player. -
Can’t do it for Burns and Chinn. You might be able to convince me one of them but at the point of two just trade up in the draft and hope for the best. Our defense would be trash until we restocked with a less chance of hitting without our 1st and 2nd rounders. I love deshaun and want him here badly but you can’t field a team by giving up that much capital and two of our best defensive players on cheap rookie contracts. but the thing people are not talking about is deshaun has said through “sources” he will not be traded to a team mortgaging their future for him. This is gonna be super interesting how this turns out.
-
Then they won’t have the qb play for them this season. The no trade clause and deshaun’s willingness to sit is unprecedented for a franchise qb. Deshaun has a ton of leverage right now and has already said he won’t be traded to a team that mortgages their future. The Texans are gonna have to give in some. I just don’t see deshaun playing for them ever again and I don’t see someone giving 4 or 5 first round picks or something stupid like that. I could see the same kind of deal as the Stafford/rams one. Can’t look at deals in a vacuum and say well this qb got this so this one will get more. There is nuance to this.

Hypothetically We Land Watson
TheRumGone replied to TrevorLaurenceTime22's topic in Carolina Panthers
Tag moton and use the draft to build up the oline...which should be the plan anyway regardless if we trade for Watson or not. Watson covers a lot of ills with his mobility as well as Brady’s scheme he will be fine. The oline wouldn’t be fixed in one offseason regardless of Watson trade or not.
