  1. Like @*FreeFua*said hopefully these are moves for some big move ie watson. But that doesn’t seem likely.
  2. There are mind numbingly stupid people in this thread. It’s like they think if you keep doing the same fuging thing we’ve done we’ll somehow see different results. We are a mediocre franchise and these are mediocre moves.
  3. I fuging hope so because this poo is getting old
  4. Linebacker and running back making top 5 percentage of the cap. This is why we suck. We need to start valuing positions heavier than those two. also teddy lol
  5. Mahomes did that a ton at Texas tech. That was one of his biggest knocks. I’d even go as far to say Lance has better footwork in the pocket coming out as a redshirt freshman than Mahomes did as a two year starter. The question we should be asking is do we think he is coachable and can he continue to elevate his play at the next level. And do we want to take that risk at #8. I get the people saying no and I get the people saying yes. I would take the gamble if other options aren’t available. I would not trade up for him though.
  6. If so many nfl teams weren’t so qb needy and if qbs were not as paramount to success as they are today Lance would be a late first/early second round pick but that’s not the reality we live in.
  7. I’ve said from the beginning I don’t think his running translates to the NFL what we saw at NDSU but he has enough athleticism and strength that he can make stuff happen with his legs outside the pocket. And he can break tackles. Think Andrew Luck/Steve McNair. He probably runs a 4.7-4.8 which is about what they ran. Luck 4.68, McNair 4.7+. Lance his a swing for the fences type of pick. What intrigues me about him is his arm talent and his athleticism. He can make elite nfl throws, break tackles and throw at different arm angles on the run but it’s such a small sample size and he’s obviously raw and needs coaching and patience.
  8. Our oline is not good they are average to below average at times. But you have to put things into context. When the games were on the line Teddy had the opportunities where the oline held up and he would either check down in absolutely mind numbingly stupid situations or he would throw picks. He didn’t even give our receivers chances when he needed to. That’s where all the hate comes in. It was so terrible to watch and I can’t even believe this is debatable at this point.
  9. The fact he was a short stop that mlb would draft is a big deal to me. I dunno what it is but it seems like that transfers well to the nfl. RW and Mahomes. Arm angles and things like that.
  10. I really hope this doesn’t happen but it should show some posters just how important franchise qbs are to teams.
  11. Then I’d obviously be happy. I just don’t think he’s gonna be good.
  12. I can’t be happy with Jones or Mond at 8. I could probably get talked into with Mond because of his potential. I’d be pretty upset with Jones at 8. I’d begin to question whether this team knows how to evaluate qbs after teddy and then Mac Jones at 8.
  13. People become personally invested in “their guy”. I have several prospects/scenarios I’d be thrilled with.
  14. It’s not baffling because it’s the jags. Which is why Ramsey forced his way out and Trevor should do the same after his first contract. Hoping deshaun sets a precedent for franchise qbs doing this because honestly Cam should’ve forced his way out after 2014 when we had bell and chandler at tackles.
  15. I don’t trust that organization or that new coach. Trevor is damn good but if you’re in a shitty org it impacts your ability to maximize your talent.
  16. Lot of this comes down to where the qb is drafted. Lamar went into an awesome organization. Wilson could be a better pro than Trevor depending on where Wilson goes. Trevor is at a disadvantage because of Jacksonville and urban Meyer. Trey Lance could end up being the best if he finds the right team.
  17. It’s super weird seeing posters fumble over themselves that Watson HAS to play out his contract and can’t do things like Ramsey did to force his trade to get out of that shitty Jacksonville organization. Y’all lick the dick of billionaire owners (McNair of which did absolutely nothing to get that money or organization besides being fuging born with a billionaire daddy). Meanwhile these superstar athletes worked their entire fuging careers, many of whom grew up in poverty or shitty situations and these owners make billions off the backs of these players. You want these players to have zero agency. Like step back and think about what the fug you are saying.
  18. They also haven’t been drafting well at all.
  19. This is actually pretty interesting. To just forgo our entire draft in 2021 and be done with it. Start working on building the team around him in 2022.
  20. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.si.com/nfl/49ers/.amp/news/why-the-san-francisco-49ers-cant-trade-for-deshaun-watson-until-june-1 I found this article. Not sure if it is correct but seems that way.
