Too late to really mean anything other than Rhule just throwing someone under the bus.

Rivera is an average coach that brings stability. That's it. John Fox is much the same. Ron was carried by all world talents like Cam and Luke. Also by McDermott. He coached like it was the 80s. Was bad at talent evaluation. He was one of the worst game day coaches I've seen. Terrible clock and time management. Rhule is like a worse Rivera. We need to move on from these type of coaches.

Yeah I think he's done here. Basically got Smooted the last couple of games. He has talent but he can't bend he just breaks when he has bad games.

His contract is bad, no one will take him unless we eat a lot of it. But maybe there is something to be worked out or a Watson trade. Anyway I agree. I felt this way last year. He's became that "amazing player but always hurt" role. If moving to WR for most plays can prevent some injuries it's worth it. But I don't know if that would help exactly, he may just be broken goods at this point. I'll never understand what we were thinking, extending a RB still on a rookie deal. No one is more sad than Rhule and staff they obviously planned on using him as a crutch this year.

I think the issue is we heard the same thing with Fox. Then Rivera. Now again. Zero back to back winning seasons. The fanbase is exhausted and there is little improvement from coaching. It's completely sensible to feel like that after years of mediocrity.

We have seen far better college coaches with more success in harder conferences suck in the NFL. I think he's just better dealing with kids then full adults in the NFL maybe. Also think the dude has a silver tongue and sold himself well. Hurney probably bought it hard.

Tickets and concessions aren't as much as people think actually. I think average team makes 7 mill from tickets and like 4 to 5 mill on concessions and after expenses is single digit profit. It's all about profit sharing and TV deals and big corporate sponsers. Sadly BofA being in a transplant town also means tickets will keep being sold and concessions when we suck. Anyway I don't think Tepper bought this franchise to make money. It's a rich guy hobby. Retirement. NFL teams are worth so much now it's not like you can make a ton of profit buying them. We just have to hope he doesn't get bored and move on lol. I don't think firing Rhule impacts this guy at all. He's made more money in the pandemic probably than before.

His in-game coaching is just bad. He seems overwhelmed. Rivera never got over bad timeouts and lack of adjustments in 10 years here so it's hard to have faith.

I agree. His hands are elite.

I love CMC and really just do it in jest but in serious he's that "what could have been if not hurt all the time" type player. I don't know if he will get past it but we are stuck with him.

If you concede it happens you can't just say it's not happening here. You don't know their long term plans or what they set up to charge more for ad revenue or more ratings which increase what they can charge. Since Goodell took over its been all money and money first.

Did you see the analysis of our super bowl ? 20 missed calls that went Denvers way. 20. OK dude. Watch the NFL without rose colored glasses and follow how the NFL makes money. The players play hard but it takes one ref to screw with momentum. Doesn't always work of course.

Na they were hand held to their super bowl for the Katrina storyline. NFL let them late hit Favre like 15 times in one game to beat the Vikings.

It's like you haven't watched the NFL since 2000. It's like you didn't watch the super bowl in 2015. It's like you ignore the coincidental storylines that magically happen for big games. I do envy ignorance is bliss though.

More interesting storyline for potential playoffs? Owner calling in his favor? Who knows. NFL has long season goals for setting up storylines. Vegas reasons ? Entertainment company can legally do it.

Please get an actual NFL coaching staff next year.

Rhule has no control of this team. Not a leader at the pro level. It just feels like they don't play for him. I wasn't a huge Rivera fan but they usually played hard for him.
