Go for it.

Big play because the defense was having issues.

Panthers lose. I don't see us winning unless we blow them out and they play just absolutely terrible. The NFL wants Brady in the playoffs and they'll do whatever they can to make that happen. We'll probably go up a score or two and then the officiating gets bad as always. I expect at least 3 bogus roughing calls. Brady will start a comeback. Wilks will start playing conservative just like Fox and Rivera in the past and "let the defense" win it for us. They won't. Slowly as always the game will get close, Wilks plays for a field goal instead of a TD and we miss the FG. Bucs capitalize and beat us. The cycle is complete. We then win the next game as another "moral victory", lose a couple more draft slots, and everything is right in the NFL world. I hope I'm completely wrong.

So next week’s game against the Bucs is definitely rigged, right?

Unfortunately....... the....... Panthers..... do not bring ratings.....even if underdog. -

I think it's just best to be prepared for it. Most likely, there will be a lot of question marks I think. Brady brings the ratings, that's just how it is. I believe to win we're going to need to have a convincing victory so we can get through the BS flags that will most likely get thrown. But hey, who knows, maybe the NFL is ready to move on from Brady but I don't see it. -
I mean, who do we think is going to play the position if we don't sign him? It's easy to say "he's not worth this, or that" but do we factor in we have no one else to play the position and a draft pick isn't guarantied? We haven't had good center play since Kalil. We may need to overpay a little because we really need the guy. The Ravens have a really good line which is why they felt they could let him go. We, really don't.

The “Maybe Not So Obvious” Elephant in the Room
Zaximus replied to WarHeel's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is a team with zero back to back winning seasons and really no sustained success. What do we expect? This is also a melting pot city full of people from up north and other places that aren't changing their favorite team so of course they buy the tickets. And before the Panthers, everyone was a Steelers or Washington fan here. So it takes time for generations born here to grasp on and it takes some kind of sustained winning to build a fanbase. Without the melting pot fans we may not have got a team in the first place. It's simple, just win, with some consistency. But I have been to Panthers games where fans are hyped, like the Arizona game (at least until Jake started throwing INTs). So I think the fanbase WANTS to become like that but the team sucks it out of them. -
Moton getting destroyed.

We are going to regret not taking that trade for years to come.
-
So this is why I am not sold on Wilks. We look vastly unprepared on defense which is his specialty. He ain't the guy.
-
Where is Burns? We are getting zero pressure.
-
Oh defense
-
Defense looks trash. Come on.
-
Wait what lol
-
These basic runs aren't doing it today.
-
Every decent return always has a flag with it for us lol. For years I swear.
-
Ooof. Everyone knew this team would run. And we still not prepared.

Well they can't do anything in the books I don't believe as they don't have the rights to anything but like appendix's that is why the show has had to use some creative liberties and create some new characters. I wish more people knew this because I think they'd give more understanding. It's also a chess board that is being setup, much like the first season of the new GoT. And I enjoy the Hobbit movies, the problem is they will always be compared to the trilogy and no movie will ever match that. Also three movies was too much, I don't even mind the "new characters" but it should have been TWO movies at MOST. But I truly think Martin Freeman carries the trilogy so much and he's so fantastic in it. There are some really epic and great scenes with him and I think he's the ultimate Bilbo in my eyes. Thorin was great as well but I just love Freeman in it.

I should have expected it after Dark, but this show is absolutely insane in the best way possible. If you think you know what this show is about or going to be about, and you're only a few episodes in, then it isn't what you think it's going to be lol. I kind of had some sort of an idea but it gets even more out there. Also watch Dark. Please.

Dude that's living the dream. That's awesome.

Yeah some shows just don't catch on. And some shows require more viewing to build up the story. I like it a lot and it has potential, a cool twist on time travel that you don't see often. But I have a bad feeling. There are so many shows that fall into this though. Though it got a proper finale (thankfully) I feel Dark on netflix still hasn't got the props it should get (amazing show) and those guys' new show 1899 is just as crazy but I worry people's attention spans will have a hard time. Another like that was Leftovers but got an ending thankfully.

I'd like to see Corral give some chances. Resigning Darnold just stings and despite recent wins he's just not doing much. We need more out of a QB to win in this league now. But it's kind of hard to tell until draft day and we just see how the board looks and who is available. I'm not completely sold on Lamar Jackson and the money he wants and I'd be surprised if Baltimore lets him go. Same with Geno, I think Seattle keeps him, they have invested a good bit in him and he knows the system. I also have a feeling he may have some loyalty to the team. I actually really like the possibility of getting Minshew as a good middle ground.

Someone with an offensive mind. I like Wilks and he's done a good job taking over for Rhule but I just don't feel his type of football at a HC level gets you to the next level. If you are trying to stabilize only then he's a good choice, same kind of coach Fox was and Rivera is.
