After watching the presser I believe the Panthers may have just landed one of the biggest HC steals in the NFL.

Nah, Wilks is officially done with the Panthers. He may come back in some capacity when he retires but not now.

Welp, I guess he could be considered a rock star OC but he's not young. He's got a ton of NFL experience but his success will depend on if he's able to find a QB. Hopefully he doesn't end up being just another retread.

If they can't land Johnston they should trade back into the teens to grab a few more picks and draft the TE out of Notre Dame. The offense is lacking in serious firepower and they can use all the help they can get.

The refs were egregious in that game, altogether there were plenty of terrible calls and calls they missed. It's also not out of bounds to claim the NFL wants a particular outcome. The league loves a good story line and what better story than to send off your future HOF face of the league with a SB W. Ron didn't mind assisting by continuing to allow Miller to abuse Remmers, not to mention waltzing into the biggest game of your life with the exact same gameplan. The 2015 squad had enough talent to win in spite of horrible coaching

Sure if you want another SB loss because the HC failed to make a basic adjustment and didn't come out with a different gameplan.

I hope Tepper isn't as obsessed as they were with Watson and ready to mortgage the future. Since Johnson is staying in Detroit, Steichen should be the number one candidate. Payton isn't worth that much.

I like Wilks but he's a average HC, his methodology is outdated. The league has evolved past a hard-nose Defense and pound you four quarters run game. His tenure would be a repeat of past Panthers HC.

Steichen would be great but I think Tepper already had his mind set on Payton for a while now.
