All the money and draft picks, and trades dumped into the DL...up by 31 and other than Wilson holding onto the ball for 15 seconds...we cannot get to him... I am sure we will use yet another high draft pick on the DL though... -

Good to see our elite defense in which we have dumped countless resource upon countless resource into is shutting down the Hawks... -

If you are going to sit there and build your team around defense, to the point that you are taking resources away from your offense, your damn defense best not blow 9+ point leads in the 4th. The Vikings reside in this boat. One of the biggest travesties about last year's Superbowl was how Seattle's defense got left off the hook because of that Wilson INT at the one. It should have never came down to that. Seattle allowed Brady to go up and down the field in the 4th and blew a 14 point lead. If your supposed to be a defensive team...don't go blowing TD+ leads in the fourth. This is exactly the reason why if the Panthers lose, unless the offense is turning over the ball, they should get the blame. If you are going to build around your defense. Then you die with your defense. BTW, the same holds true for teams that dump a bunch of resources into their offense. i.e. the Colts, Packers, and Broncos. EDIT: Minnesota defense was not really responsible for the FG as AP fumbled.

Well, there was that one game in Atlanta his rookie year where I have never seen a QB play as flawlessly in the second 1/2. He threw for like 300 and rushed for another 100 I think. The defense then allowed Matty Ice to beat them with like 25 seconds left. Oh, and last year vs. us. I think Wilson had a perfect rating that game. Played fairly well in their first SB as well.

Does anyone think its crazy to draft a kicker in the top 25 of the draft? How many games comes down to the kicker? All the OTAs, all the training camps, all the games, blood, sweat and tears, and all too often a kicker decides who wins and loses. Hell, it could be argued that the Pats would have 3 less SBs if not for their kicker.

Norv Turner has been awful at play-calling this entire year. It is almost as if passing is a trick play.

When will OCs and Head Coaches learn that you are not doing any favors to your QB or your offense if you are calling running plays 90% of the time on first down? That tends to leave 3rd and longs and obvious passing situations so the defense can pin their ears back...

See that is exactly how Romo got hurt vs. us. Holding onto the ball on third and long and trying to make something happen. Cam Newton also got hurt twice this season doing the same thing. QBs have got to SOMETIMES stop trying to play superman, and get rid of the ball.

So this is the reason the Panthers coaches our WR to just go down after a catch. I always wondered why this passing offense was "catch...down" "catch...down" and now I see perfectly why. -

These WRs have got to be better than this. Everything cannot continually come off the right arm of Newton. When you catch the ball and have a one on one you have got to beat your guy. -

I will say it again. This defense better be more stout than this. It is unbelievable to me that the front office can pour this much into this unit and this late into the season they are showing this kind of leakage. If we are going to be a team that depends on our offense to win games. The LEAST the Panthers could do for Shula and Newton is actually build a talented offense. -

I am sorry. But why is there never any YAC in our offense? Like ever? On that 3rd down throw prior to the 3 series of throws by Cam, Cotch caught the ball and heading straight to the ground. Why does everything in this offense come off the right arm of Newton? (Except for that crossing route that was called back due to penalty) We have got to get some WRs/TEs/RBs that we can check the ball down to and have them run. -

Exactly. The Saints are the Saints. Marcus looked all world against that pathetic defense...
