  1. Pro Bowler's?.........I highly doubt that......................oh wait!! you mean.......
  2. There is a distinct possibility that for the first time in NFL history the majority of the fan base at the game will be wearing the jersey colors of a team that isn't even playing on the field. I would not be surprised to see more red/white/blue old Brady Patriot jerseys than any others of the seats that managed to find patrons in the today. Panthers need to do what NASCAR does with empty seats........other than tearing them out or covering them up they need to color them all different so from a distance they look like they are filled with people.........and put those face cards in the seats for the close seats around the end zones like was done with covid.
  3. You see a lot of them at every away game as they play making it easy to ID their fan base in the stands on TV and for the Steeler players in endzone celebrations.............. The whole towel things was started by the former Sports Illustrated writer and Steeler color announcer the late Myron Cope as a promo device that later was used to drive funding for a charity of his........however before the towel he used to say to the women in the crowd to take off their babushka and wave them........a babushka is Russian/Polish for a head scarf. Since Pgh, Pa has many Poles and Eastern Europeans there working as miners and steelworkers many years ago (there is a place called Polish Hill) he played up that deal.........which was actually borrowed from Pirate baseball games and announcer Bob Prince who first called waving those at baseball games prior to Myron picking up on that........so many women did that at games that the move to a towel similar in size for everyone to use caught on fast..........the point of this background being when Cope made the move to towels it became so popular and noticeable that everyone else adapted it throughout many sports venues to this day. In retrospect, I wish babushka was Russian/Polish for a bra................
  4. The Steelers fans have always travel well ever since their 4 SB wins in 6 years of the 70s. Have one of the largest national fan bases in all the NFL as a result. and Western Pa is one of the major relocations areas of the country to relocate in Charlotte. Which all adds up to ....A Steeler home game in Dec in the Carolinas........
  5. I wonder what is going through the mindset of a competent player on the Panthers who may see themselves as being part of the longer term rebuilding process of what they must be thinking for the balance of this season? I guess they need to perform in a deal for the fact they are paid to do as such but will they try to avoid getting in situations where they could be exposed to injury with no reason for extending an effort this year? I see this especially as a concern for linemen in the trenches............................so the question is. How will the offensive line perform to balance what they are paid to do........verses what they know will be a season of futility while trying to avoid situations that could increase the possibility of injury? Imagine Steve Wilks....................how do you prove your worth as a possible HC in a season with a team where you positioned to have the opposite results of the interim opportunity in front of you..................are you being a good soldier at this one and allowing your career to take a hit for a bigger and longer term purpose of the franchise? I mean what kind of pregame talk does a HC do in this situation?
  6. Carolina Panthers.........the NFL's version of pouring ketchup by the bucket loads on a steak.
  7. Young = QB.......... like CMC = Running back Play them at your own risk.
  8. Just though I just thought of something..........after last week's mess in Pgh..... just how pissed off would Brady be if they actually happened to lose to the Panthers this Sunday............LOLOLOOLOL!!!! Good Gawd I'd love to see that post game press conference with Mr. Ego......it would almost be worth jeopardizing a #1 pick.
  9. I'm inclined to think that Panther's can't keep any QB on this roster healthy enough to play more than 5 or 6 games in a row........its musical QB chairs from here on out for the balance of the season.
  10. How'd you like to be one of these lame ass businesses that is an "official this or that" of the Carolina Panthers right now..................hehe. Morris Jenkins..................LOL.............celebrate when the Panthers celebrate? LOL...........
  11. Wilks said they were going to be aggressive on both sides of the ball......... So I guess the pregame meal for both offense and defense will have bottles of Red Rectum hot sauce replacing ketchup on their steak.
  12. I'm still trying to figure out Rosetta Stone Anderson to see what the hell this guy is saying.............
  13. and in other news: "Panthers invite the general public for QB tryouts" within the article........ " Wilks stated, "Its something innovative, exciting and Tepper agreed its our best shot at finding a healthy backup to Eason come this Sunday." Many with the NFL front office are questioning the move while the Panthers organization are busy ordering 100s of new game jersey's with "your name here" on the back for the anxious participants when they show up at Bank of America stadium on Weds afternoon to test their savviness as they compete for the position. "We have former small college QBs, ex high school players and even some people who played in Pop Warner all ready to shake off the rust and test their stuff against others", Wilks elaborated. Concern about how soon one of them could learn the Panthers playbook within days after being selected to be dressed for this Sunday's game against Tampa, Wilks stated, "It's no problem..........hell McAdoo doesn't know what the hell he's doing and I don't know a thing about offensive plays in the NFL so why would it matter if this new backup QB would know anything?" Tryouts start on Weds at 1pm sharp........participants will receive a free parking voucher along with a steak and ketchup lunch after completing their tryout. The results will be announced on WFNZ radio during the 7pm sports update.
  14. Not if you see the potential of comedy and some laughs it isn't...........
  15. hmm lets see..... Corral injured Darnold injured Baker injured PJ slammed in the head big time late 4th quarter this weekend Anyone see a problem with throwing a practice squad player into that position?
  16. whose gone next............not sure for now....... but in the future its the Carolinas that will be gone off the map of the NFL at this rate.
  17. Why???............I haven't laughed so hard and enjoyed watching a train wreck like this in sports since........ uh................hmmm.......... oh hell the last time the Panther were 1-15 in 2001............ As it was it was two of the best teams in recent times in the NFL were in a barnburner unpredictable game in KC at the same time and they couldn't keep me from switching over to watch the train wreck in LA. Bad times are good times when there is nothing you can do............especially when Rhule left all his poopy diapers in the clubhouse.......
