Tepper can at least be first in something when it comes to the NFL..........
-
He's got one but just doesn't know it.......................his wife.
-
She is a what many might see as a JADE trophy wife for Tepper......... Tepper did all his "responsible father stuff" in a prior marriage and this one......well has different goals. ....... as such she can overleverage her position in his life to the point where seemingly good intents end up being a liability to the overall organization. I wouldn't speak for anyone's life outside of mine but I was a divorced billionaire there is no way I'd consider marrying again with the potential problems that could hold.

15 year season ticket holder... I won't be renewing
PghPanther replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Panther may be the first team in NLF history that sells more tickets to other team fans in regular season games than their own......... Next year should be the threshold of reaching that. It make sense.............a transplant that doesn't get to see your team much but live in Charlotte area? Then come watch your home team no matter how they are playing get a win right here in your transplanted backyard. If I'm the Panthers organization I'm pushing for selling visiting team fan tickets...........hey if they have to travel any that's more revenue for the area Its a win win at the expense of this dumpster fire organization -

This franchise and its fans are like King Kong swinging at planes on top of the Empire state building.......lots of raving and ranting only to be all shot up and take the fall.

Players react to firing. They don’t seem too upset

Collectively, as an organization they lack motivational leadership......identity.....motivation.......and talent. ........and the one person most capable of changing that is the biggest roadblock. You can't get a better recipe for failure in the NFL than that. -

PSL + Tepper = Suckers -
The guy sucked at Cleveland then got lucky (w some cheating) with Brady in NE and is now clueless without Brady and they want to bring him here? The game and QB he worked with has passed him by............... Quit looking through the junk pile.........

game record says Seifert....................as a personality Rhule is in an cl"ass" all by himself.......

As a head coach? Well the media better be prepared to bring in their sleeping bags and/or pillows to the press conferences.
-
Of course there was a consensus by the staff in Bryce as the pick..... ........because everyone is a yes man to a billionaire boss (and or his wife) who has given the impression that would be his pick.

My family came from the coal mining communities...............and the amount of money they make is obscene in our world. -

In his trading days on Wall Street Tepper was the top trader at Goldman Sachs but got passed over by Jon Corzine of Goldman Sachs rather than make him partner. Tepper took this personally since the reason was Corzine didn't like Tepper's personality. Tepper left Goldman, founded his own hedge fund, and became a billionaire. Then in 2015, he found a chance at getting back at Corzine. Corzine and his wife Joanne Dougherty had lived in a Hamptons mansion, which they put a bunch of effort into building up. When Corzine and Joanne divorced in 2003, Joanne got the mansion, which was valued at $9 million. In 2015, Tepper bought the mansion and ended up paying $44 million for it. Then he tore it down and built another mansion, twice as big, in the same spot. If he’d been planning on building a mansion from scratch, he could have done so more cheaply on vacant land rather than by buying an existing mansion only to raze it, but Tepper it appears wanted to squash Corzine’s ego with his own. Folks that’s all you need to know about who owns the Panthers.

I could see Tepper moving the team.
PghPanther replied to Brent Gregory's topic in Carolina Panthers
The Charlotte MSA (90 mile radius of Charlotte) has more people than Atlanta within the same MSA statistical analysis. The dynamics of the market place in the Charlotte MSA exceed other MSAs in the US with larger city populations. From a marketing standpoint the NFL heavily weighs the MSA as a population study to the market potential of a given franchise. -

The reality is if Tepper becomes a liability with this team to where it hurts the NFL in general as a singular revenue sharing entity in the media then like with Snyder the other NFL owners can be rallied by the NFL to force him out of ownership. There will come a time that if Tepper continues his dumpster fire of this franchise that its issues will metastasize around the league and then the billionaire club of owners won't take to kindly to such a rouge pathway that Tepper is creating. After all there are few areas billionaires can park this kind of revenue and have such attractive returns on their investment. I see that as the likely development over this team moving anywhere else with Tepper still in control. -
This is the lowest because you can't dig out of it if the owner keeps messing up.............unless Tepper takes a back seat to everything or sells the team the chance of having a turnaround could indefinitely be on hold..............what worse situation could you ask for?

Free wouldn't be worth it due to the parking and food expenses.............. Pay me $50 to $100 a seat to go and I would consider that as a break even freebie. Right now I don't consider watching them on tv to be worth any time let alone money. Saw I guy at the gym with a Panther shirt on and he looked at me and laughed saying....."I'm not a football fan I just wear this to workout in but it looks like it gets too many laughs so I'll use it to sleep in instead"

I hope David Tepper is aware of a basic truth
PghPanther replied to CRA's topic in Carolina Panthers
Tepper purchases Panthers for 2.275 Billion in 2018. As of 2023 the Panthers are valued at 4.1 Billion. In 5 years Tepper is up 80% on a multi billion dollar principal. How many capital investment environments allow you to position that large of a principal and net 16% average annual percentage increase? Now what is that we are saying about Tepper being aware of a basic truth? -
One big problem............. When it comes to owners involved with an NFL football team it seems that one bad decision begets another......

Wow, I could see perhaps a business buying them for employee and customer perks but for a fan buy a PSL knowing if the stadium goes so does their investment? Sheesssh! -
What is the matter with all you complaining about Tepper?? Look at least down in Rock Hill he has brought us a brand new practi...........oh wait.
