I don’t have a simulator to post but I think OTs are gonna drop and play out like this with a CAR slant. 1. Jax - Hutchinson 2. Det - Willis - Other than being Detroit it’s a good situation for him. A vet he can sit behind. Decent weapons. 3. HOU - Neal - Tunsil gave them fits bc he couldn’t/wouldn’t play. They’ll replace him and not have the headache anymore. 4. NYJ - Travon Walker - Buckner, Bosa, Kinlaw. All physically the best DEs in their classes. Saleh wants another physical freak for his defense. 5. ATL (trade w NYG) - Pickett. Thankfully we don’t have enough capital to move up. Tepper and Fitt put the nail in the trade up coffin. ATL saves us to get their new Matt Ryan. 6. PHI - from CAR - Thibodeaux - Pickett and Willis both gone () - Philly trades up because they get an elite edge rusher in Thibodeaux. 7. NYG - from ATL - Garrett Wilson - They finally replace OBJ with his clone. 8. NYG - Gardner - BPA 9. SEA - Ikem Ekwonu - He replaces Duane Brown. 10. NYJ - Kyle Hamilton - Saleh gets two elite centerpieces for years and takes BPA. 11. WAS - Jermaine Johnson - Classic Hurney. He gets a pass rusher to replace the Ionnaidis (sp?) loss. 12. CAR - Charles Cross - Trade - Fitterer trades back up with Minnesota. He got 16 and 19 in the trade down and this move requires him to give up 16 and 2023 2nd. 13. HOU - Drake London - Big, talented target for Davis Mills 14. BAL - Linderbaum 15. PHI - Derek Stingley - Roseman going all in on Uber talented character concerns 16. MIN - From CAR VIA PHI - McDuffie 17. LA Chargers - Jordan Davis 18. NO - Trevor Penning 19. CAR - Matt Corral

Hamilton, Walker, Willis and potentially Wilson are all moving into the top 7. Teams ahead of us (Jets, Giants, Lions) have all drafted 1st round tackles very very recently: Becton, Thomas, Sewell. This doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t go tackle again (I don’t see the Lions drafting another one). But it definitely makes it less likely. I think that the Jets and potentially the Giants are going to be looking to solidify defense or replace the QB (Giants).

I feel bad for him. He’s basically had below average coaching his entire career. The staff at USC was terrible while he was there. Then Gase was obviously a disaster. Then he comes here and it honestly looks like Joe Brady is completely in over his head. I’m assuming McAdoo doesn’t want to try to resurrect his career so he’s got his eye on a rookie. But Darnold does have talent. We saw it firsthand in the first few games. The problem isn’t the talent it’s the mentals. His footwork gets shaky, he forces bad throws. Idt you can fix that. That’s confidence and the best NFL QBs don’t care about their mistakes. They just move on and make a play the next time. His mistakes just seem to compound.

Get ready for the trade down imo. Neal, Ekwonu, Cross, Penning, Raimann are all ranked in the top 25. If one or none are gone by the time we pick I fully expect a trade down into the teens if it is possible to pick up a 2nd. I agree we need that cornerstone LT but unless we’re finding a way to trade for an immediate winner at QB we are gonna need more picks too.

Our D rank is 26th? Wow. If that ends up accurate we’re gonna be historically bad.

He’s going to be the top OT. Ikem shot up bc he didn’t have national attention the entire year and Kiper going on and on about how violent Ikem is. But Neal is a freak…..and I’m a huge NCSU fan. Neal will be off the board by the time CAR picks. We could get Ikem or Cross though with all the D talent rising to the top.

Go back and watch the Miami Dolphins game. He cannot throw the ball downfield. I would honestly rather have any of the top 5 QBs in this draft under center next year.

The line doesn’t matter with Cam. Never has. Matters even less now that he can’t throw the ball. It’s not gonna be Cam.

If it’s Carr then McDaniels is getting Brady to the Raiders. They’re not trading for Davante and then trading Carr for picks.

I think that Howell and Corral throw the two best deep balls. Idc about how far Willis threw it in his workout. As far as in game throws those two were the best. I like Corral a little more bc he strikes me as more of an athlete than Howell and you could put him in the weight room and get him to 215-218 and he’d be good. But I wouldn’t be mad if we found a way to take Sam Howell in the late first or second round with a trade.

Lamar Jackson has had a 3k yard passing season ONE TIME, has never been as accurate as Murray, and his playing style is WAY more dangerous than Murray. Kyler Murray is a top 10 QB. In 2-3 years he’s going to be top 5. If he’s available for trade we’d be dumb not to inquire.

Yeah you have to look at the situation excluding Rhule. If Rhule wasn’t our coach we would 100% be drafting BPA or moving down to draft multiple BPA. Bc they struck out with ANOTHER QB…they are at risk for reaching. You can’t reach AND leverage future picks. There are literally 5 first round grade OTs. There are a bunch of QBs who should be late 1st early 2nd round picks. The move shouldn’t be to move up or to trade next years picks. The move should be to move down, get more picks draft an OT, and then if a QB falls get into position to move up to grab them. OR….you stay put and take Ekwonu or Neal and get the QB next year.

Hes literally an inch shorter and 8lbs lighter than Wilson. You wouldn’t take RW? Give him an OL and don’t let him take hits…

What even is a “running QB” anymore? I mean we’re not looking at QBs from Navy… I would say if you’re not at least a mobile QB you’re not an elite prospect.

If they’d do that then yes. But why would they do that? Aren’t both of their 1sts top 10? There’s a risk they downgrade…

Yeah I do. Murray has been rumored in trades for the last few months. Multiple sites have talked about it. Gambling sites have him as +500 to be our day 1 starter, SD is +450, Willis is +400 or something like that. I think Kingsbury and Keim believe that the “system” is greater than the QB and as soon as Mayfield became available they figure they can get Mayfield (or maybe JG) and sign them to a more team friendly deal and they’ll fulfill the “system.” I think it’s totally moronic. But….that’s why they thought they were doing with Arians and Warner, Palmer before Murray. They’ve won with “system” in the past. So I think that’s their plan with Kyler (basically not signing him long term) and I think Kyler knows it. If I’m KM I want buy in as well. And if I’m getting the vibe they think their system is more important than my skill set….I’d be pushing for a deal or a trade too.

Let McAdoo worry about that.

He has missed two games in three years. If he’s gun shy then it’s a scheme problem. Build an OL around him and give him a 1300 yard rusher. His best running back this year rushed for 700 yards on 3.7ypc. Don’t let the D tee off on him and you have fixed a lot of the problem.

He rushed for like 250 total yards this year and passed for 3700 yards. He had a better statistical season than Russell Wilson in his 2nd or 3rd year. You guys are crazy.

Where in the world are you guys getting that Murray sucks? He’s a top 10 statistical QB while having to face LA twice, SEA twice, and SF twice. He got his team to the playoffs in the toughest division in football? He’s literally a more accurate passer than Cam Newton has ever been…and you’re getting him at age 24. Years before he actually peaks. You all wanna roll the dice with Kenny Pickett? Be back in the top 5 again next year debating if we should bail on Pickett to take Stroud. Go for it…I would trade for a proven commodity, dump a terrible contract and basically be down three picks over a period of three years. With the 1st in 2023 hopefully landing in the late 20s. But yeah….Willis and Pickett. Woo hoo.
