He had one offer to play QB from Utah. Went to an elite QB camp. Trent Dilfer tapped him and gave him the gold ticket to go to the finals camp where he got a flood of offers - USC was not one. He was considering playing QB for Duke, but really wanted to be the USC QB. Pushed USC to recruit him as QB. USC offered him to play OLB and Darnold declined. Had his HS coach send highlights of his athletic ability with basketball, and then received an offer from USC to play QB. We have Trent Dilfer, Matt Leinhart, Jordan Palmer, and Mark Sanchez to thank. They have been working with and pumping up Sam Darnold for years.

Darnold's #1 football goal was to be the starting QB for USC. He has achieved his goal. He has no desire for a Super Bowl. Cashing checks and thinking about the beach like his coach.

Don't think it's happening. I am of the opinion Dolphins' owner Stephen Ross is wrapped up in all of this knotted up mess in the NFL and college football. I believe Stephen Ross wanted Deshaun Watson and a high round draft pick at the cost of Brain Flores' career. Ross wants Harbaugh to stay in Michigan. Harbaugh is stubborn and wants to be in Miami, so he forces Ross's hand by leveraging the Vikings. Ross won't want to lose Harbaugh. So, as the largest Michigan booster, Ross is setting up Rhule to go to Michigan if he can't convince Harbaugh to stay. If Ross cannot convince Harbaugh, then he will bring in Harbaugh as the Miami coach. Ross will pair Harbaugh and Watson together in Miami, but first Ross has to pay off all 21 women suing Watson. Watson won't be a Panther, Harbuagh will be a Dolphin, and Rhule will be a Wolverine once Ross gets his mess sorted out. There is always a chance the NFL chooses to force Ross out of the NFL ala RIchardson. In that case, Watson will be tied up for another year in court, Rhule will remain a Panther, and Harbaugh will stay with Michigan for another season. As the NFL Turns. Stay tuned.
