Reich was never anything special, but he can win in the NFL. Reich is a grade below Rivera. So, why is a coach who can win in the NFL struggling so badly? The answer is the worst roster building in the NFL. Andy Dalton? Miles Sanders and Chuba Hubbard? Ian Thomas, Hayden Hurst, and Tommy Tremble? TMJ, Chark, Shenault with their route running and hands? No OL depth. A LT who can't protect the blindside? You expected an entire offense designed around an above average but overvalued rookie QB & Adam Thielen to produce wins? Draft capital wasted. Opportunities missed. Key players tossed for nothing special. Fitterer is building rosters for other NFC teams. Reich has no chance to look like his normal self and be a mediocre winning coach.

This has been the issue all offseason. Wasting roster spots. Roster building fail since day 1 of the offseason.

The sooner the better

Unfortunately, we have to watch people get paid millions to destroy a roster and waste draft capital.

You could replace the Panthers with the better teams in the USFL/XFL & the Panthers would easily be better than the 2022 Panthers under Wilks. The Panthers are easily replaceable with Fitterer in control of the roster. He's worse than Rhule at building a team.

He's under contract and part of a winning organization that would likely beat the Panthers. I'd take Sage Surratt and Dee Anderson from that team over Mingo and TMJ. They have better RBs too than Sanders and Hubbard.

I wanted Ridder, Purdy, Glass and Coan to compete with Darnold last year. I wanted to surround the QB winner with Garrett Wilson, DJ Moore, Laviska Shenault, CMC and D'Onta Foreman. This year I would have added a couple TEs from the draft. So, it stings to see I was right, and the Panthers keep swinging and missing. 1st round QBs will always be overrated and you can find winners at QB in later rounds.

Desmond Ridder with another GWD? 4 on his career and 3 for 2023? 9 starts and 5 wins for Falcons. Good young QBs can carry an average to bad team. Need a front office who can spot the winners instead of leaning on 1st round QBs.

Young is really good against a soft umbrella defense

The Panthers were on par with the Lions under Wilks and Darnold. This is unacceptable regression by any standard.

The situation seems to be worse than I believed it would be. This is tough. Too many bad decisions led to the state of the franchise. On the verge of being an expansion team.
