Promising drive by Young but he looks like he's going to be broken trying to buy time like that in the NFL. Not sustainable in the NFL with that playing style from big QBs. He has to change that and get the ball out faster.

Thomas Brown chose not to run it behind Ekwonu at the GL? That was horrible play calling
-
Ekwonu saved by a face mask
-
We have the smart one Who needs Justin Herbert when you can have Ryan Fitzpatrick?
-
Mingo & Marshall... smh. Can't even put them on the hands team
-
Ekwonu is an all pro guard playing LT. Drafted way too high and forced into the wrong position. Leaving him at LT seems more of a pride move by front office instead of making the team the best they can be.
-
2 top 10 picks the last 2 years & the future looks bleak. Then the best 2 1st round offensive picks since 2017 traded away for what?
-
Ekwonu gets that 1st drive fail.
-
Thomas Brown has decided to let Ekwonu to block on an island for the pass. Bad idea
-
Ekwonu special again

This Panthers roster was never built for an identity. Reich defined the Panthers as 0-0 every week. 0 wins is acceptable.

Why is Adam Thielen able to get open?
CPantherKing replied to Ricky Prickles's topic in Carolina Panthers
It comes down to precision body control and agility at the NFL level. You must get the body around to get the hands on the ball at the last second. Outside of Adam Thielen, Josh Vann was the only other WR with this ability, but he didn't have the ball thrown his way much and was overlooked. Strength & Hands are the 2nd and 3rd qualities. Mingo is strong, but he lacks top level agility & hands. TMJ isn't an NFL WR. Chark is just another deep threat/speedster. Hips, shoulders & feet for the NFL. Not as important in college. Panthers talent evaluation is awful. -
Next two years, strike while the irons hot
CPantherKing replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ridder is .500 as a starter in his first 10 games. Not even a full season. 4 of the 5 wins have been GWD by Ridder. That means his coaches, defense & running game failed while putting it on his shoulders. 4/9 GWD is 44.4%. Mahomes is 46.9%. Brady is 41.4%. The other NFC South QBs are Carr 28.5%, Mayfield 18.4% & Young 0.0%. Former Panther QBs are Darnold 12.8%, Walker 25.0%, Bridgewater 18.0%, Allen 7.7%, Newton 22.5%, Clausen 0.0%, Delhomme 37.5%, Testaverde 21.0%, Peete 25%, Weinke 5.3%, Beuerlein 22.5% & Collins 23.3%. The QB room coaches/players are Reich 11.8%, McCown 11.7% & Dalton 26.6%. Bad QBs are below 10%, Average QBs are 10% to 20%. Good QBs are 20 to 25%. Playoff QBs are 25% to 30%. Championship QBs are 30% to 40%. Elite QBs are 40%+. You will know a QBs value at 20 GWD opportunities. The best QBs in the NFL with careers that stretch a decade are lucky to get 100 GWD opportunities. Carr, Testaverde, Collins & Dalton are among the top 25 QBs of all time when it comes to GWD. Delhomme is tied for 34th. This will give you perspective to the quick & brutal path of an NFL QB. Young is already 25% of the way to his final evaluation. To pace, I expect at least 1 GWD every 5 opportunities (even for rookies). A QB is expendable if they don't keep this pace. Young is not keeping pace with Carr or Dalton as rookie QBs. He is not keeping pace with any of the QBs in their rookie seasons listed above - even expansion & worst teams in NFL history. The hope is he turns it around quick because it's not a pit QBs will dig themselves out of in the NFL. Winners always show themselves capable early in their career when they still struggle. -
He's proven he knows how to lose games last year and this year. Who wouldn't want that as their HC?
-
They just ran around Ickey on both sides
-
Also have the most pathetic run defense in NFL history. Are you going to tout that?
-
When do we retire Evero?
-
It was a good 1st quarter. Highlight of the season.
-
Evero defense with the lead is just awful
-
No Thielen. No drive.
-
Mingo sighting!
-
He's making business decisions
-
That defense fell apart. Mental errors.
-
Is Miami the first defense who decided not to take Thielen out of the game? They're just bracketing him.
-
Excellent route & hands by Thielen
