Bozeman has that OL working together already. He's punishing the Panthers defense. That entire Chargers OL is getting 5 to 6 yards before the RB gets to them

0 toughness or dominace from Everos defense

That run defense is trash

Is it asking too much to see individual improvement, consistency and 5 to 10 plays that show future hope? Even the worst NFL teams can be competitive against the best with a couple promising drives every half of football.

This is a dysfunctional rebuild that has no true championship foundation. The use of the draft and free agency with a substantial lack of leadership and competition highlight this dysfunction.

Did we let Kerry Collins develop? NO. we replaced him with Beuerlein & got a good 1999 season. Instant offensive improvement. Did we let Jeff Lewis develop? No. He was tossed before he could even see game day. Did we let Chris Weinke develop? No. We got a place holder in Peete, who knew the offense, as we plugged in QBs to compete with Weinke. Weinke lost to Fasani and then Delhomme. It was all about which QB wasn't going to mess up and lose the job. Led to a quick SB. Did we let Clausen develop? No. We ditched him for Cam who showed instant success & rode that to another SB. Did we let Kyle Allen develop? No. We messed up by loading in 1st round retreads at the cost of draft building the roster. Kyle Allen had more success than Bryce. Should have kept Allen & Cam while letting QBs compete to hold onto the starting spot. There have been 64 QBs to make it to a championship game in the last 25 years. How many struggled for 2 to 3 years without any competition so they could develop? You load up QBs & bench Young until the other QBs fail to hold on to the starting spot. You'll get that QB who will be ready every week much faster. There is no way Young would win an open QB competition. Imagine if we took this development approach with Lewis, Weinke & Clausen. We'd be wondering if the Panthers could ever get to a SB.

Show us something. Show up. Show toughness. Show discipline. Show urgency. Show leadership. Show consistency. Show playmaking. Show communication. Show execution. Show dominance. Show up or go home! There's no improvement or getting better if you don't prepare with purpose and show up on game day. That 2018 Steelers game was the end of the 2011 rebuild. We've been waiting to win ever since.

1 deep safety with 2 defender between tackles pre snap. Bryce had the hot over middle. When Mike drops, hot is gone & Bryce needs to step up while reading the single high safety. What we see here is a poorly executed slide left protection. There are 3 blockers on the A gap. Corbett should have never gone right. His man was the Mike that dropped & he was to stay with the weak side protection.

Matt Waldman on Panthers offense
CPantherKing replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
That was a poorly executed slide left protection. They all have a man to their left. If their man drops into coverage, they are responsible for kicking out to the edge. When Corbett's man drops off he must kick out the edge rusher giving the QB an open pocket to step up. Corbett's responsibility is punch right, man left, kick out. He is NEVER suppose to go right. That belongs to the guard & RB. The RB is strong side protection, pick up A gap blitz/stunt, release. Ekwonu is punch edge, man. There were only 2 rushers between the tackles pre snap with 1 deep safety & 1 rusher dropped into coverage leaving the middle of the field to attack. Bryce responsibility was hot middle, step up, safety check, run. Corbett is a project at center. -
You want to earn a easy $1k this weekend?

Betting against the Panthers is an investment. Part of Tepper's hedge fund. -
Panthers waive tight end Feleipie Franks

Franks must have been too much QB competition for Bryce -
That body control from Garrett Wilson is amazing
-
Remember the days the Panthers had LBs like Fred Warner?

No hope for the season. September is a sandbox for the Teppers now. I just want to see improvement and a foundation come October. Bryce has too many limitations on the NFL level. There should be open auditions all September and October for impact players.

The only chance Canales has is to make Bryce a championship QB, or get lucky & have the Teppers give up on Bryce. Canales isn't even allowed to bring competition in for Bryce.

Roster building has been the problem for an entire decade. Shaq is the vet franchise leader now. I like Shaq as a hybrid playmaker, but building a defense around him to contend was never a good strategy. Seeing all the bad decisions from the past decade bottom out in the game was the worst part. This team has no foundation, no championship strategy and is just a farm team for the rest of the NFL. I feel for all the capable playoff caliber players & coaches with championship promise. This organization has no championship foundation, strategy, or culture set from the top.

Did Tepper ‘meddle’ this past offseason?!?
CPantherKing replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
N. Tepper is still learning how to build a roster with front office assistants reporting to her & a puppet coaching staff. D. Tepper gets involved when he's told to enter by the boss. Patience -
Darnold & Mayfield are average NFL starters. Panthers gave up too much for both & had to move on because they are place holders. Tepper was sold on Young being a championship level QB. There were a group of us that knew better, but people are just going to chase the fantasy. Having a long term QB strategy would have been better than throwing draft picks at the wall & hoping something would stick.

Derrick Brown potential season ending knee injury

If you had Pro Bowl value, you'd do whatever you could to distance yourself from this disaster. Business decision. Not even playing through a headache. -
Going #1 is proof that nothing is a sure thing

If 1st round QBs were that valuable to a roster, you'd see them dominating the playoffs. A majority of teams have 1st round QBs, and the QBs who move their teams through the playoffs to conference championship games are an even split. Since 1990. QBs who have proven they can win a SB are bold. Dynasty QBs are in italics. Panthers have had 4 of these QBs on their roster. Non-1st rounders have a higher success rate when considering starting opportunities heavily favor 1st round QBs. You'll also notice the majority of 1st round QBs taking the crown went to established playoff contenders. A majority of non-1st round QBs taking the crown went to bottom of the NFL rebuilds. Before anyone screams Day 3 QBs or undrafted QBs are hard to find, 12 of 64 were avaliable day 3 & 5 were not selected in the first 7 rounds. These are the only championship level QBs for 25 years. Goff, Jackson, Mahomes, Burrow, Stafford, Rodgers, Allen, Tannehill, Bortles, Ryan, Roethlisberger, Newton, P.Manning, Palmer, Luck, Flacco, E.Manning, Smith, Cutler, Sanchez, McNabb, Rivers, Grossman, Vick, McNair, Dilfer, Collins, Culpepper, Elway, Testaverde, Bledsoe, Harbaugh, Aikman, Kelly, Marino Purdy, Hurts, Brady, Garoppolo, Brees, Foles, Keenum, Wilson, Kaepernick, Favre, Warner, Hasselbeck, Delhomme, Plummer, Gannon, Johnson, Stewart, King, Brunell, Chandler, Cunningham, Young, O'Donnell, Humphries, Montana, Rypien, Kramer, Hostetler, Schroeder Do NOT draft a 1st round QB unless you are an established playoff contender. -

1st round QBs are overrated & cost most teams when it comes to building a competitive roster -
It's Evero. When has he ever had success over an entire season? That defense is horribly prepared with communication & fundamentals.
