  1. So when Miller gets pushed back into Darnold and he throws an INT... does Cam come back in?
  2. How do you beat the Panthers D? You get them in 3rd and 10+
  3. 3rd and 13... does the defense give up a first down? History says... yes
  4. Ah Millier got pushed back into Cam and altered the throw. I see.... makes sense it was Miller
  5. Devin Lloyd in the draft. But we don't have the draft picks to get him. Oh well.
  6. If Miller had shorter arms he wouldn't have been blown up by a DB at the goalline
  7. So Brady Christensen gets you to the redzone and then you decide to run behind Miller? WTH Rhule
  8. Last 2 plays brought to you by Cam and that #70 guy
  9. Panthers D never allows an opening TD. Still allows 30+ points with an offense that trails in games the most
  10. Looks like the defense is ready to give up rushing yards up the middle today
  11. Who here believes the current NFL allows a team more than 2 to 4 years to turn a team around? If you do, you will never have a winning team until the CBA reverts back to football operations pre 90s... aka never. Coaches, GMs, and owners who think this way always lose the necessary advantage of attracting free agent talent and retaining key drafted players after their rookie contract is up.
  12. (Runs per season/career comp%) Roger Staubach (50/57.0), Steve Young (70/64.3), Patrick Mahomes (60/65.9), Russell Wilson (90/65.1), John Elway (50/56.9), Aaron Rodgers (60/65.2), Joe Theismann (40/56.7), Brett Favre (50/62.0) Cam Newton (100/60.0) Your "weighted" argument is weak. All QBs throw the ball. Cam has thrown for as many yards as Troy Aikman and Kurt Warner, and Cam's career INT% is lower than both of them. Cam is as good if not a better passer than John Elway, Troy Aikman, Brad Johnson, Trent Dilfer, Nick Foles, Eli Manning, Jeff Hostetler, Phil Simms, Joe Flacco, Mark Rypien, Doug Williams, Joe Theismann, Jim McMahon, Jim Plunkett, Ken Stabler, Terry Bradshaw, and Joe Namath. That accounts for more than half of the SB winning QBs. What SB winning QBs have when it comes to setting up a winning drive is receivers who have amazing concentration and good hands, OLs who don't make stupid mistakes that end drives, and coaches that call plays to their teams strength when it comes down to the passing game to move the ball down the field for a game winning drive. Will there be rare QBs who would be an improvement over Cam Newton? Yes. Is your weighted to passing argument garbage? Yes.
  13. Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy You walked into a HoF WR Michael Irvin who was drafted the year before you got there by Landry, and you tried to trade him before Al Davis talked you out of it. Ken Norton Jr was already on the roster. Nate Newton, Kevin Gogan and Mark Tuinei already anchored an OL for you before you arrived because of Herschel Walker. You had Herschel Walker on the roster to get the picks needed to load your roster with Emmitt Smith, Darren Woodson, Kevin Smith, and Russell Maryland... and you picked very well. You signed a vet TE for Aikman in Jay Novacek. You drafted Daryl Johnston and Alvin Harper to compliment the offense. You filled the OL with Mark Stepnoski and Erik Williams in your early draft classes. Let's not forget you had to replace your OC and bring in Norv Turner with pro coaching experience to make your offensive talent work. If Rhule had done half of what you did in his first 2 seasons, I would have a different opinion and hope. What you did Jimmy is closer to what Rivera did when he was a new HC in the NFL. It also helped you did not have to deal with free agency under the CBA until after your success. You actually ran away as fast as you could before free agency started picking your team apart. We all know how well it went in Miami when you had to deal with free agency.
  14. Rivera took over a 2 win team and turned them into an .500 team ready to compete for the playoffs by the end of his second season. Rhule took over a 5 win team and turned them into a 5 win team ready to threaten for nothing by the end of his second season. Rivera found his QB in year 1. His defensive leader in year 2. Had Steve Smith, Jordan Gross, Ryan Khalil, Travelle Wharton, Thomas Davis, traded for Greg Olsen, had a good trio of RBs, found a good backup QB, had a DL that could stop the run and rush the passer. Rhule hasn't decided on his QB at the end of year 2. He has no defensive leader. There is no big play pro bowl WR threat teams are scared of. No pro bowl OLs. No OL leaders. No TEs to threaten a defense. CMC and Abdullah will be good when he gets an OL. Has a mess of a backup QB he likes from his college days. Has nothing on defense in the middle to stop the run. Rivera had coordinators who were in position to become NFL head coaches by his 2nd season. Rhule has coordinators he is firing by his second season and college buddies he replaces them with. Are you telling me that you are unable to see the obvious difference from the Panthers being built for the playoffs under Rivera and the Panthers being imploded by Rhule?
