  1. So, you think teams losing every game and winning every game is probable in the NFL? That makes more sense to you? Obviously they prefer experiencing the losses people complained about under Rivera, than people celebrating the wins under Rhule. Sensible unless you support Rhule and think he will go 17-0.
  2. Ball spotting is not done by a chip in the ball. Ball tracking optical tech like Hawk-Eye would be used to know where it should be spotted on the field.
  3. Not really. Losing with Rivera would result in more wins than winning with Rhule, which would result in more loses. Unless you want to keep piling up top 10 draft picks. Then you want to win with Rhule.
  4. If you are all still wondering, it is Suh. He has had a serious problem with alcohol mixed with anger, recklessness, and vehicles since his days at Nebraska. Always having to swerve to miss those dogs and cats late at night while losing total control of his vehicle and doing significant property damage. Sucks down Kombucha and wine daily while mixing in harder drinks when he is out late at night. He loves the night life and Florida beaches. Suh enjoys drinking and crashing vehicles while being reckless. He always refuses medical attention for him and anyone he injures. Even if he wasn't severely intoxicated, he would reek of alcohol just from all the kombucha he drinks daily. Glad he hasn't hit a person while having to swerve and miss all those late night cats and dogs. Although, he did injure a woman who was in his car and refused her medical attention with 911 while telling her to get out and get her husband to drive her to the hospital. Then he lied to the police about how many people were in the car during the accident.
  5. And while he is driving to practice to sweat it out from the early AM hours before morning practice, he is under the influence and would be an immediate GO TO JAIL DO NOT PASS GO when he ends someone's life in the state of Florida. Still intoxicated.
  6. Ekwonu, Smith and Penning will be busts. Neal and Cross will be serviceable. None of the top 5 tackles will be all pro. Tackles are heavily overrated at the top just like the QBs. You can find mid round OTs just as good as the hyped prospects. Kinnard, Faalele, Tom, and Vrabel will be the best from this class. I wouldn't be shocked if several OTs from this class are moved to guard.
  7. If you're method of finding a QB has given you a list of more than 20 QBs over the past 20 seasons, you don't know how to pick a successful QB. QB insanity! The Chiefs want Devin Lloyd. Trying to jump the Broncos. You're welcome.
  8. Yet, the QBs who keep winning championships lead a team in the playoffs to game winning drives with their arms. Mahomes ran for over 100 yards in the playoffs in his SB run. Now, try to find another QB to do the same in their championship playoff run. The QBs who can win with their arm win championships. Good defenses destroy the running QB in the playoffs. I don't care about winning games against the worst teams in the NFL with the occasional upset because a QB can run. A consistent winner passes from the pocket and will audible to the run or screen since they can read/set up a defense. Mobility will always be optional and your QB should not run more than 6 times a game. If the team needs a QB to run more than 5 times a game to bail them out of these situations, then your team has more serious issues and is not ready for a championship. Does a QB need to run if you don't have a championship team? When a QB only needs to run 3 times or less out of 60+ plays in a game, does having a running QB really matter? Give me a QB with athletic instincts that shows up 90% of the time inside the pocket. I don't care about how fast he runs the 40 or how dangerous they can be on a 50 yard run. A QB with athletic instincts in the pocket will be able to intelligently choose those 3 times they need to run in the game - even if they run a 4.9 40.
  9. He is slower than Kyler Murray and faster than Cam Newton. 4.4 to 4.45. Won't run a true 40 because he did not take the time to practice getting out of his start (don't blame him). He'd likely clock 4.5 with a bad start. If you consider him a project and running QB, you have to understand he will be 23 at the start of the season. Takes 3 years at best to work out all his problems. That puts him at 26. He has until 28 until his body starts breaking down and he has to focus more on pocket passing from being a running QB with 100+ attempts per season. If you don't plan on him rushing 100+ times in a season, then you don't want a running QB, and valuing that at QB is a waste. You will have a 2 year window to succeed with Willis as your starting QB if everything works out. After that, you have to rely on his pocket presence, pocket passing, and reading defenses. Is that worth a top ten draft pick? Doesn't even seem like its worth taking a QB like that in the 5th round. Huge time investment with a 2 year payoff. If you want to look flashy without winning championships for 6 seasons, Malik Willis is your guy.
  10. The all pro 10 year centers always fall as we get closer to draft day. Teams would rather have those shiny toys moving up the draft board like Dwayne Jarrett, Ted Ginn Jr, Jamarcus Russell, and Brady Quinn. Then there are those stud OTs like Levi Brown to anchor your OL. They all climb up the draft boards while the undersized and possibly overrated 1st round center in Ryan Kalil falls because war rooms fall in love with trash projects, hype heroes and combine warriors. Teams would draft Matt Kalil and Sam Darnold over Ryan Kalil. Shows you how absurd and flawed most of these scouting departments and war rooms are with the old school ways. There's only 70 players in this draft worth a draft pick. 20 1st round picks will be wasted.
  11. Well this tells us the Saints don't value taking a QB in the first 2 rounds. They've been too invested in scouting QBs not to take one. So, expect them to draft a 3rd round or later QB to develop into a starter. They have had their eye on Aqeel Glass.
  12. How many rushes in a season until you consider them a running QB? 50? 70? 100? There's been a SB winner from every one of those.
  13. Just use my QB model. Only 15 starting caliber QBs have passed through it since the Panthers came in to the NFL. Only 4 of them were 1st round picks. 13 of 15 have been to the playoffs. 12 have won in the playoffs. And one never got a chance to play. Several have been to the SB. That's why I'm excited to see how this draft works out. It's been 5 years since it has approved a QB as a starter, and 10 years since it has offered up multiple QBs. I doubt the Panthers draft any of them lol. Panthers have had 1 of the 15 on their roster for a few years. Also, 11 of them were available to the Panthers without any trade. I'm sure the Panthers will fall in love with another QB that bottoms out in a year. Just let a blindfolded monkey throw a dart at a wall of balloons. The QB name that pops out, go after them. Seems like it will have a better success rate than the current Rhule/Fitt/Tepper QB method. Another season of hope is what I'm expecting. Maybe this year it won't be so short.
  14. If Willis ever throws a pass like that, it is picked. He bends the WR back to the middle of the field. Awful throw and great uncontrolled reckless arm strength. Arm strength doesn't mean a thing without consistent accuracy. How far can he throw it while being consistently accurate? Strength+dimes. Strength without dimes is a recipe for a losing QB.
  15. I would call it jealousy. I wish people would just have more fun with it, not try so hard to be FIRST, and not act like their opinion/speculation has been vetted as fact. Have fun or move on. It's a message board and the NFL is entertainment.
  16. Not Burris. Panthers admitting defeat in the safety market. Just draft Markquese Bell in the later rounds. Grab Elvin De La Rosa (Winston-Salem product) too. 5th, and 7th imo. Let them go hit and create fumbles. Special teams gunners and safeties will be set. Put them in that 33 with Chinn and Woods. Problem solved.
  17. This whole Garoppolo, Darnold, and Mayfield situation is a mess. Meanwhile, Cam is shaking his head screaming he is better than all 3 of them.
  18. So, traded a draft pick to rent a pro bowl player for 9 games during a losing season because the front office, ownership, and coaches thought they had a playoff team on their hands. Reactionary emotional management at its finest. A home town pro bowl player that playoff teams value and can utilize. The Panthers however can't seem to locate that same utilization and value for Gilmore that a SB contender can? This team hasn't had a plan since Rhule and Fitt have been here. Just playing with the billionaire's money and treating players like they're a shiny kids toy to lose interest in. They obviously can't solve the puzzle that is the NFL and leads to being a champion. You have to love how a SB contender can lean in and tell the Panthers they'll take that junk off their hands as the Panthers look confused as to how to make Gilmore fit and produce wins. I never thought the Panthers would reach the Jets/Lions level of low, but now here we are. May it have anything to do with tapping into that Jets incompetent culture through the likes of Rhule and Fitt who love their NY Jets mentors/consultants? Tapping into the Giants culture was bad enough under Gettleman. This is worse. Panthers started by tapping into the Steelers/Cowher, 49ers/Walsh, Washington/Gibbs, Eagles/Reid cultures for 20 years. Then they decided to jump off the rails and run with the Giants/Coughlin culture - a mixed bag of hit and miss. Now, we have the Jets Woody Johnson/Terry Bradway (no coach because the 2 of them use coaches and GMs as fall guys) culture seeping into the organization. Bradway's son played for Matt Rhule and while Johnson/Bradway have stayed short of success for decades they have their relatives being funneled in to executive positions around the NFL. The Panthers are now the Jets-lite and this will likely go on for decades with Tepper as the owner. I don't believe they even care about winning creating a winning/championship culture. I think the Panthers under Tepper are now a training ground from athletes to coaches to front office for the bigger markets and championship teams.
  19. Or maybe they are showing up to see who wants to trade up for a QB because they aren't planning on taking Pickett, Wilson, or Corral. Need to start working those trades for draft day. You want a QB? Call me and we'll talk. If they do take a QB it will be tiny hands because Rhule throws a tantrum. McAdoo and Fitt are not sold with their QB needing youth gloves.
  20. Looks like we're 2nd in the NFC now. That's an improvement.
  21. I want to win a SB on the backs of CMC and have Rhule retire. Cash in and go rip off some college boosters like Michigan. Let McAdoo take over. Rhule can follow the tradition of Vince Lombardi, Bill Walsh, Jimmy Johnson, Bill Parcells, and Dick Vermeil. I just hope we don't have to hear him talk on all the sports shows. He can think of himself as a genius. I just want him out asap.
  22. Get comfortable with saying this... "If only he could stay healthy and out of trouble." That's what you get for 3 to 5 years with Corral and then you're on to your next QB. Sprinkled in will be some good games and flashes. No doubt he is the better of the 3 they are looking at. Still not the best long term prospect in this draft.
  23. Transfer portal. Deion Sanders recruited him away from Florida to make him a centerpiece and showcase him in building a new program. Same thing Jermaine Johnson did going from Georgia to FSU. Big school teams that over promise and under deliver to their recruits to get them in the door are losing their players in the transfer portal. It's going to happen even more with the transfer portal. The NFL teams that pay attention to these players will get steals in the draft. Players don't go to HBCUs because they can't cut it with a big school or they have legal problems. It's easier for them to showcase themselves and increase their value. Business decision. Why did Malik Willis go to Liberty?
  24. Rhule gets Teddy Bridgewater, Sam Darnold, Pickett/Willis/Corral drafted + Vet starts, Fired.... new coach comes in. Trades QB. Drafts another 1st round QB. I've seen this before. College coach comes into NFL gets free agent journeyman who isn't clutch in year 1, 1st round struggling QB with hope fails year 2, QB drafted and sits while new vet mentor starts, FIRED... new coach comes in. Trades drafted QB for another 1st round QB. Where? Riley gets Jim Harbaugh, Ryan Leaf, Brees drafted/Flutie starts, Fired... new coach comes in. Trades Brees. Drafts Rivers. Here we go again. Does anyone ever learn from history?
  25. Is Craig's 611 yards still a pro football record? Still holding up after 21 years?
