  1. The best coordinators in the league don't want to touch a team that is going to force them to start their pet project players/coordinators who are failing. I can't put a HC on the chopping block who isn't allowed to choose his own QBs, DC, or what RB he wants to start.
  2. I'm not looking forward to watching the ALL 22, but I could tell Bryce was given control to audible out of runs in 1Q, that control of the offense was taken away in 2Q to regain field position, and when Canales made him throw the ball in 3Q with the play calling, Bryce had no idea what was going on with the Seahawks defense. Bryce was spooked. He was seeing ghosts worse than Sam Darnold ever has. His hesitation, lack of urgency, and lob balls were the most consistent part of his game on Sunday.
  3. I wanted Micah Parsons. So, I'll always be disappointed until Horn starts closing out games on defense consistently while becoming a playmaker teams refuse to throw at. I never wanted Brian Burns either. I wanted Dexter Lawrence. Now, if we can figure out how to get Hunter Henry, CMC, Lamar Jackson, Dexter Lawrence, Micah Parsons, Garrett Wilson, Jahmyr Gibbs, Jared Verse, or Ladd McConkey in a trade for Jaycee Horn, Ikem Ekwonu, Bryce Young or XL, I'm definitely on board. Anyone else, want to go after the players the Panthers should have drafted or kept for the ones they should have never touched?
  4. Best is Josh Norman and Peanut Tillman. Next is Eric Davis and Tyrone Poole (Should have been Ty Law. I will never understand how they missed that pick.) Jaycee has potential, but he is not changing the games enough to put him at the same level as the above, and he gets beat more than most want to acknowledge. You could argue Jackson is performing at a more consistent level. I was in the Micah Parsons camp, and still don't see Horn coming close to that level.
  5. Steve Wilks, CMC and Sam Darnold all ended up in the SB in 2023 when the Panthers drafted Bryce Young #1. And the 49ers franchise QB in the SB was chosen 1 pick before Bryce Young. I suggested a 99 Rams all in offensive strategy going into 2022. Fire Rhule at the end of 2021. I was good with Wilks returning as a HC. We don't get what we want. If I did, the Panthers would have never needed Sean Gilbert and the Panthers first ten 1st round picks would have been Warren Sapp, Ty Law, Bobby Taylor, Ray Lewis, Tiki Barber, Randy Moss, Jevon Kearse, Chris Hovan, Dan Morgan, and Julius Peppers.
  6. I would go a step further and say you know what you have after a QB has 6 losses on their record. If they can't meet the minimum standards after 6 losses, they need to ride the bench and develop. Keep them around for another shot IF the next QB racks up 6 losses and also fails, and you believe there's enough potential to develop them. After 12 losses, you have to move on from a QB if they can't demonstrate the minimum standards of a playoff caliber QB. It's not difficult to see a playoff level franchise QB on a bad team. QBs should always elevate their offense and make their players look better than they actually are on Sundays. It's the opposite with the Panthers. The WRs and RBs are making Bryce look better than he actually is at this level.
  7. Darnold, CMC, DJ Moore If only the Panthers had a tenth of the patience they have with Rhule, Bryce, Chuba and XL
  8. I saw the limitations of Bryce coming out of college, and over 3 seasons he has proven them all correct. I only saw one way for Bryce to succeed and that was for him to figure out how to make his scramble and accurate passing on the run to consistently be a threat. I have only seen rare flashes that will not outweigh his weaknesses. I was definitely concerned for him being knocked out of games if he were to try to get out of the pocket to extend plays with no concern for his blindside. He has shown enough awareness to calm this concern, but if he can't be consistent in extending plays with his necessary play style, then he's only a journeyman backup at the NFL level.
  9. 3-3 at Half against #1 seed = Canales win Having Bryce, Chuba and Jaycee hand 17 points to the Seahawks in the 2nd half = players loss Canales was not given the chance to coach in 4Q when it should have been a 10-10 game.
  10. Getting rid of Bryce and Hubbard would mean abandoning all ties Tepper has to the offense. Giving the HC full control over his key players isn't a Tepper move
  11. The 17 points spotted to Seattle in the 2nd half by a Bryce lob picked, a Chuba fumble and a Horn facemask are the coaching?
  12. Bryce Young isn't even mentally ready to get back on the field. That body and look said it all
  13. Horn, Young and Chuba have gifted the Seahawks 17 points in the 2nd half. What are you going to do?
  14. Now Jaycee needs to make up for his mistake. These Panthers players didn't come to play today
  15. Canales went to QB run/pass options and Dowdle up the middle for that drive. Back to a 1 score game. Having to make up for Bryce and Chuba spotting Seattle 14 points
  16. Is anyone else annoyed with the lack of urgency by Bryce? He's playing like it's a rec game. The passes are soft and easy for the defense
  17. Bryce and Chuba giving the game away. Canales is going to have to call the game to get around their weaknesses today. That will be tough with Canales having to trust them
  18. Does Canales open up the playbook now, or continue to rely on Bryce and Chuba to manage the offense to make it a close game again?
  19. Hubbard didn't come to play today. He's been playing weak all day
  20. Toes are on the line? That's not even conclusive. Can they make their Seattle favoritism any more obvious?
  21. Let's also remember, the Panthers could be seeing Seattle in 2 weeks, so a low scoring game of field position is in the Panthers favor.
  22. The Panthers did win the 1st half with total game plan. You have to recognize that. Canales has control of the game from a Canales v McDonald stand point. McDonald survives on coming out fast and getting up on a team. The Seahawks aren't built to win a 12 round bout with throwing haymakers and trickery at the end of the 4Q. Even with Bryce and Chuba struggling to make decisions on the field
  23. Bryce was reading the safety and then gave up with a weak pass to Dowdle. At least get it to him to possibly make a play. That was a jump ball to Dowdle and not a pass
