70/1 Give me a scenario where.........
saX man replied to mrcompletely11's topic in Carolina Panthers
Its about the defense. We have so many exciting pieces but they need to translate together and create an onslaught. Bring wrath upon the NFC which is honestly wide open if Brady really deteriorates. I mean we've got a lot of young promising names. Perryman & Bouye (injuries) and Burris & Pride (good enough? Can they make a leap?) are the biggest question marks but I honestly like all of them. Easily top-10 potential. Maybe top-5. There's roughly 8-10 guys I'm looking at that need to start collapsing pockets and quickly: Burns Brown Reddick YGM Daquan Fox Roy/Nixon Haynes/Miller Then it will make our nickel/dime package unit's jobs much easier with Shaq, Perryman, Chinn, Bouye, Jackson, & Burris. With the occasional Taylor/Pride. Maybe Carter Jr surprises. I'm probs missing some dudes but whatevs. net around 15 PA per game, 35+ sacks, 14+ ints -- Offensively, we need redzone maximization. Brady needs to improve and Darnold needs to shake off the Jet stain. CMC needs to hit the ground running and stay the consisten min 4 yarder type he's been. Tremble needs to become an all around blocking/receiving weapon Erving or Daley need to not remain injury proned and one step up and into LT in a good capacity. Paradis needs to lead and not rely on good talent alongside to make him better. Brady C better bring it at LG. Our receiving group lives up to the hype and more, launching us into the endzone repeatedly with Shi, Marshall, Arnold adding to the Robbie+DJ combo. Maybe David Moore does damage. Omar Bayless. Net 22+ per/gm, win the runover battle, win in the division Go into the playoffs with momentum. -
The Arnold & Tremble Combo: Why it will shine
saX man replied to saX man's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah, it's a good ying-yang. Arnold is perfect until Tremble can hopefully get there as a receiver and then take the reigns as an all-arounder. They allow us to truly run the spread, get the wide shotgun sets with max protection. I can already see a play written up where Tremble is the 3rd-4th read in a slip screen off to the left. Off the ball in H-Back as eligible, quickly stalls an edge rush w/Erving, slips past and finds himself open in the left flat for a huge gain. What draws him open is the combo of CMC running to the right flat and DJ in the slot running a slant to pull some LBs. -
The Arnold & Tremble Combo: Why it will shine

Yup. The rookies I'm hesitating with after a greater draft breather are Marshall (he looks awesome but doesn't give the best durability vibes aka Hurns) & Brown. Also think Brady will be good but may take a minute. Too many are assuming his immediate floor is a great LG. Tremble gives me good vibes though. I'm all in on Horn, Tremble, Taylor, Smith, & our UDFA in Moore. -
The Arnold & Tremble Combo: Why it will shine

This is where I think Tremble surprises. I just have a good feeling about the dude. I don't believe Rhule picked a TE in the 3rd to just be this adaptable blocker. -

Also forgive the grammar in the OP, it was early morning and was holding off work lol -
The Arnold & Tremble Combo: Why it will shine

Yeah that's the nice thing with Tremble. He can really help on stretch run plays and flank left of Erving at LT. Could help provide great protection against the lighter edge rusher which are much more abundant these days. -
From all the insider footage and interviews post-draft, it seems like Rhule was set on landing Tremble. He's clearly super excited about him even when compared to our other picks. (A side note--the team also seemed pretty set on targeting Hubbard as well) Furthermore, in the limited action we've seen in camp, he's been looking sharp and seems to be transitioning pretty easily. Made some acrobatic catches and just looks beastly. Reading up, I've seen Kittle comparisons and a few analysts that have pretty hefty expectations. And I see why. It helps he absolutely, without a doubt, has the NFL athleticism and frame from the get go, very little work needed at the body shop with this kid. Also, the one element that the TE prospects need more than anything else to contribute is blocking. He's got it down and then some. Combine that with the athleticism and it's apparent we have a potential monster on our hands. Thing is, this isn't a Swole Bones situation. We just spent a 3rd rounder on Tremble and he's set to contribute. We didn't have this type for Brady last year so we may see more TE/H-Back inclusion with the pure FB out of the roster. Our team has not typically drafted TEs high. Ian Thomas at the top of the 4th was pretty much our highest grab at one in some time. He have him off the line as the H-Back in our spread formations from the gun, have him as a FB in I, have him as a true TE2, he can be very adaptive. Sax's Prediction: 18-27 Catches, 275-400 yards, 1-2 TDs -- Now to Arnold. Why do I like him? Because he's a redzone target. We not only landed Marshall for this but Arnold proved to pull the rock in for AZ just fine. Even made some bigger plays. For being a bit limber/long, he's got decent blocking chops. Looking at our success at the spot, we landed Olsen in a trade and Wesley Walls in a FA signing similar to Arnold and where he's currently at in his career. He's a more balanced TE, leaning receiver...and only 26. Sax's Prediction: 35-45 rec, 500-650 yards, 4-6 tds -- Overall, these predictions account for the volume to CMC, Moore, and Robbie. I don't know one of Marshall (likely #3), *other Moore, or Shi simply sliding in Samue's volume so that will be more broken up. But most importantly, I see these two fitting in very well and it makes sense why Rhule and team are talking up Ian Thomas right now. He doesn't just have competition, he's fighting for his career/roster spot. We've got two guys now in place and really an entire position that seemed like a need post-Olsen now accounted for and then some. Sax out

Oh crap forgot we had a really bad gimmick lurking. Though did determine a coordinate from a Makeface command based on a 0,0,0 from an ancient monument for someone to figure out. Dammit! Lol

This is where I Baker Street this mother to oblivion. Adios muchachos

I’ll only give you a 0,0,0 coordinate and then! 1123.45, 19998.32. hint of the 0,0,0 (and then you’ll have to run some CAD commands): megalithic temple, Carnac, Atlas Mountains

Analyzing the 10 OL who should make the roster
saX man replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
The one thing I'd note is to not sleep on Erving being a bit better than average and could hold his own at LT for most of the season. He hasn't always graded the highest but he's really turned his focus on LT in his career when many thought he was going to be a center. edit: and he's 28 so not super old for a lineman -

But I won't discount someone giving Miller a run for his money, that spot is not locked up. Brown, Moore could compete. Daley and Elf appear to serve as the ultimate swing-line depth guys that are totally capable of starting. -

Thanks for your continued posting volumes. Helps keep good content while we're entering the deadzone. I also like Trent Scott v. Erving battle if Christensen is at LG. We traded up for Christensen and intended to pick him in R2 (per rumors) so I'd like to think he just starts at LG at a minimum. LT wise: Scott last year: 347 snaps, 3 penalties, 2 sacks allowed Erving: 279 snaps, 1 penalty, 1 sack allowed If you look at Erving's old draft profiles, it's interesting. A super athletic center/left tackle with high intelligence. Almost all applaud his athleticism and proactiveness in the run game. The negatives were his technique. Erving's size: 6'5 315, 34.5" arms, 10"+ hands, 84"+ wingspan. Scott's size: 6'5 320, 34 3/8" arms (can't find winsgspan but he should be right around 84" as well) Both are better run blockers, both are very athletic for their size. Erving seems to have allowed some more pressures but doesn't make as many mental errors. Erving has also evolved to being a full time LT since he was in KC. My guess: Erving-Christensen-Paradis-Miller-Moton -
This is where we'll see a change in approach with Fit+Rhule. We won't be scurrying to sign voids in the roster after drafts as Hurney did. They filled it prior to a comfort level so they could draft who they wanted. I wouldn't expect much movement on the FA front.

This is excluding X-Clown bc that is no doubt #1 always and forever

There's a few games that I have just cemented in the cranium: -1st Cowboys playoff win at home -29-10 Cowboys win at home -The OT field goal blocking 12-9 against TB -Foster's huge game in our win against KC (I don't know why this stands out) -Philly Conf Title Game -NE Monday Night win w/Cam -The Dalls Turkey-day LukeMassacre a.k.a At Romo's End

Nick Goings is about as JAG as JAG gets, but I wouldn't call it endearing. Though he did what he could when he filled in. Never going to get YFL, but was never going to break one out. I think he had like one or two runs in his career over 40 yards. Love the Chad Cota reference. & Mark Fields.

Damn how did I already forget James
