  1. I concur. The entire DL has quite the potential. YGM, Derrick Brown, Daquan Jones, Morgan Fox, Roy Marquis Haynes, Nixon. I mean, take away Burns and Reddick and we have would still have an average-ish line.
  2. I don't place the hiearchy of spending LT-1 and then the rest these days. We run a spread offense and he's a perfect guy for us. Bred in house. This is the moment where you decide to really make him a Panther long term or not. I'd love to see it and at least lock something up on this OL. Discounting Paradis as the likely center, all other spots are up for grabs right now. Moton is worth 14.75 in my book and it's totally worth it. I mean he's a 26 year old top-5 guy at his position group. I'd like to see us get this done. Next step would be identifying a long term Center and LT. Maybe we got lucky and have some now. There's finally some promising pieces at the least: Taylor Moton RT/LT, Brady Christensen RG/RT, Dennis Daley G/T, & David Moore G/C could be a good group. And John Miller is only 27. Wouldn't mind locking him up longer term if he shows well for us again. Three big "ifs" could make or break the unit: -If Dennis Daley proves the last 1.5 years was an injury aberration -If Christensen proves to be a plug and play (wherever that is) -If Moore (UDFA) or Brown (6th) surprise. Those are my biggies to watch for beyond these vets we brought in like Erving and the Elf guy.
  3. I am taking most of my homerism stock and putting it into our DL and WR groups. DL Top shelf (or higher) quality: Brian Burns (star), Hassan Reddick, Daquan Jones, Derrick Brown Above Average/Stud Potential: YGM, Morgan Fox, Bravyon Roy, Davi Nixon Totally respectable depth: Marquis Haynes, Christian Miller Saywho?: Phil Hoskins
  4. You say WGAF then can’t stop posting. Lawls. Turd Ferguson over here
  5. Now to all of you bickering curd-muffin-gnarly-butts, this is how you turn a thread in a solid direction.
  6. Sax's plate tonight will be a garlic-herb based gnocchi+chicken recipe, I'll lightly dash some prem-o salt with some wilted spinach and squeezed lemon overtop. Feels like a rose night as well.
  7. Looks like it could've been drinks. If food, Sam seems like he could've done some type of short rib ragu recipe and CMC more on the lemony halibut+caper type dish with asparagus and polenta.
  8. Yes to general signings, unexpected cuts, FA pickups of other cuts, but I see the potential to sign a starter being pretty limited between now and week 1.
  9. Oh I'm not saying we sign anyone, I think we're done signing. Those are the spots I'm concerned about.
  10. When he got his ribs injured midseason is when it got bad for the defense. Then, when Thomas-Oliver had to step in at CB along with the safety thinness is when it was at its worst. I don't think Burris is as much of a liability as he's made out to be. (Same goes for Pride at CB, I'm still optimistic) Sam Franklin looked alright in relief as well. It may not be the most talented spot on the team, but the position doesn't worry me. Center field is not the biggest concern IMO. ILB: Shaq isn't a liability (similar to Burris in that respect) but this is a much more important position. With the defense slated to be better, I'm quite interested to see how he and Perryman perform. Though expect Denzel to miss a few games and Shaq never really being the leader on D, it's actually kind of concerning. RT/LG/LT: I agree with other Erving was brought in as a baseline/maybe starter at LT but overall, it sounds like we're trying a lot of rotations to see what clicks. If it results in Moton at LT, then is Brady C. at RT? LG? There's just a lot of possibilities. We've got a lot of bodies but hopefully we don't play too much musical chairs. A consistent lineup at OL is a team's best friend. WR3: (Does Marshall transition easy?, maybe Shi surprises? David Moore? Or someone from the ranks of Zylstra, Bayless, etc) We're relying on a batch of guys with a lot of potential, but does someone actually step up? QB: Darnold is a huge question mark at the end of the day but I'm optimistic. Though with PJ behind him, we're likely a top-10 pick again if we have issues here. We're so young, it's hard to gauge which is promising w/potential vs. not cutting the mustard when so many have not played. A ton of turnover and a ton of super young guys ready to give it their shot.
  11. We at least have teeth in defeat. We've always been a "steady foundation" style franchise, with faults, but I mean, we surprised annual at Clemson, NFCC next year, we didn't start slow and that honestly shaped the non-fan perspective. Then we only had limited stars until 03' happened. A lot of teams (in early growth/inception to first "good" era") have these amazing talents (bc they drafted high) but the lack of talent dropped the potential. They coalesce around maybe one dude rather than a team early bc you get that leader QB when you can high up. We like never really had that but were always, meh. But could still pull off the win. This was the case until Fox/JakeSmitty/Defense, then of course we finally got the case of 2011s and start the Luke/Cam era. Capers and Seifert never really "happened". They were a suburban Orange Theory. I buy into this--there being 2 main non-Panther camps: one that's always known us as a competitive team (only rarely awful) and the other side is just like, "Yeah the Carolina guys. They're okay sometimes. I don't care" We have never had a legit coach+gm combo and the only league storm-esque star was Cam. The Panthers have had about 4 truly "loser" lost seasons in all these years. We are a mad roller coaster between below average and above average (with the rarer 2015s, 2012s, and 2003s). We need to become that consistent crew and my personal philosophy is the right coach more than anything. I actually think we got a guy in Rhule. He also is a very distinct type of dude but it's not a common stereotyped coach. He's a straight shooter, non-patriarch mentality, more of a gang leader, and I like that he understands roles on the coaching-staffing level. Here's to optimism shitbags.
  12. Surprised no one caught on to a fact that it’s a lamb and not a goat! Muahahaha
  13. Hai. Sax here. Chillaxing to some Lou Reed on the back deck with a froze’ today after the architectural shtick. I have a vision (and had a really nice gummy) Take a walk on the saxyman side... This is a pet dwarf goat at one of my favorite Sonoma county wineries. He is the outcast, the one that didn’t fit in. In doing what you say? Well this wine operation has dwarf goats graze their vineyards. Their growth maxes out so that they can’t reach the lowest vine but eat all of the weeds and grass and help eliminate the needs for herbicides and equipment. Meanwhile, they are supervised by two Lawssome dogs. They also greet the guests but are constant herders. The Panthers organization has been one of these goats. We avoided being the outcast back in the main house that can’t go out to the field. That’s for the Jets. I say we become the one who owns and is above the production of it all. We own the labs, we run the ranch. And dabble in some woodland furry parties. We need to become the one who knocks, not the pushable lawnmower. Walter White in goat form. And then we shall become the real goat. the Darnold Goat. In conclusion, my plate tonight: porch life wine Aged goat cheese Prociutto Olives Love, AFTERNOON MORNINGS
  14. There is a man out there named Clinton Dickson and his nickname is definitely Haha Clinton Dickson
  15. @ZodHas Trent Scott run with the 1s or 2s for LT at all? Curious about that dude. Between him and/or Daley, I think we’ll have a surprise impact on the left side. Still think last year was an aberration for Daley. He can still have a great, long, prosperous career.
  16. I'd rather have the D better in practice starting off. Sets a tone. Pushes the offense to step it up more going into the year. All about that response, non being reactive
  17. My mini bold prediction: Shi Smith makes a run for the roster ahead of Zylstra, Norwood, Bayless, and dare I say David Moore. Not high on the whole rookie class, but Smith...I smell something there. Fire roasted smoke
  18. I will continue to dispute this notion that Burris is a scrub. He's better than a lot of guys we've had back there over the years. DeCoud, Naka, Beantown... too many to even begin remembering. Painful and my memory is shot.
  19. Stalled out at right around 53/54 eek, I pay attention to this too much haha
  20. Isn't Bouye missing the first 2 games due to roids?
