What’s your 2023 QB big board (including Corral)
saX man replied to Wundrbread33's topic in Carolina Panthers
1A/B/C: Stroud/Young/Levis 2: Hendon Hooker 3: Michael Penix Jr 4: Tanner McKee 5: Grayson McCall 6: Matt Corral…he’s kind of on Jaren Hall’s level for me 7: Cameron Ward (should stay one more year and keep it going, on a great trajectory) -
I kid, that one’s not me.

We’ll I’d like to think the amount of mentions and threads this week he’d chime in. Seems like a legit hiatus. Times change folks. I could always turn back into TRD

The only problem being shorter QBs do have a limited capacity between the numbers in the 10-15 yard range so defenses can easily rule out certain throws in the short/mid range middle of the field. Buuuut Kyler and Jalen (just started this year) have much less limited passing plays than people would've anticipated & are doing well at dispelling the assumption. Russ is playing so poorly it's hard to even know with him anymore. Heck, look at Bryce at :19 below, also 2:43 is a beaut over some big bois

btw---that's 1,000 more rushing yards, 11 more touchdowns, and roughly the same rec yards as CMC in the same time frame. Yes, it would be substantially different if there were no injuries, but Robinson did actually miss ~4 games in this stretch. Unless you think CMC is some prodigy that will now take SF deep into the playoffs, I think we faired well given the circumstances.

It may seem like little value but this is how you get those extra 5th-7ths that become part of draft day trades, or just a part of a bigger lot of draftees. I mean, if we could legit move a vet on a 1-year deal for a draft pick, do it. You re essentially securing draft capital for someone not on the roster or books next year. I'll give our expiring value that others could use now for future value.

Just a bit of context/comparison this morn': Jaguars receive a conditional 2023 6th rounder from the Jets that could become a 5th for Robinson. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/34872289/jets-agree-trade-jaguars-rb-james-robinson-sources-say Has 2,200 rushing yards, 600 rec, 22 overall touchdowns in under 2.5 seasons in the league. 24 years old. Not a highly touted prospect, but it just comes to show how the non-stars yet highly respectable guys at this position are viewed. Robinson - 6th (Potential 5th), 1 total pick CMC - 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 4 picks

It hasn’t been long but holy hell, it’s like we were gifted a new life firing Rhule. His sorry ass already seems so far in the past.

Hi Spent some time on horseback in the nude with a fine goblet of barleywine. And may I say, it’s quite the transcendental experience. And then, PANTHERS Earlier Today—in recovery from a wedding last night, spent some time with my pax and a lovely kombucha, and then: PANTHERS I was thinking of winning and we made it so. YES. Panthers. SUPERLATIVES: Bozeman - He is a mauler, protector and man amongst boys. Rhule is gone, Boze is strong. Foreman/Hubbard - They’ve got a bit of punch to themselves. Busting through like some Panther-blue kook-aid men of cracktacular form Tremble - I still see a super bright future with this man. He has so much potential. Defensive Playcalling - Whatever has been happening since Snow’s departure, thank you Derrick Brown - You sir have been having an awesome season. Thank you for your services and response YGM - Was generating a lot of pressure today. Mucho appreciato My Mushroom-Shallot-Garlic Penne dish tonight was the real winner. Thanks to myself— even did the laundry and cleaned the kitchen because someone was too busy. Happy SO is a happy life. And then… PANTHERS

REPORT: Burns practically a "lock" to be traded before the deadline
saX man replied to saX man's topic in Carolina Panthers
He's under his 5th year option and we haven't agreed to a new contract. So, I ask those so anxious about the thought of losing him: What do you think is going to realistically happen? He's not going to want to stay unless we tag him which will be north of $20 mil. He can ask for as much as he wants, and honestly, will be able to get a sh*tload elsewhere. Everyone jibber-jabboring about this being a stupid move doesn't seem to understand it may be out of our control. We're walking ourselves into a Peppers situation again... -
REPORT: Burns practically a "lock" to be traded before the deadline
saX man replied to saX man's topic in Carolina Panthers
If I'm Burns, the only thing keeping me in CAR is a franchise tag and with that, I'd request a trade. No way he wants to re-sign at this point. He's in a beaut spot to get a major contract from a good team. -
At least we’re not stuck with Kyler Murray
-
Yeah we’re baaaad
-
Sounds like we need to find a new team then
-
He gambled on Rhule and lost, and now we are in complete disarray. Hope we get the next HC hire correct
-
There’s general bad team dysfunction and then there’s this
-
Anderson definitely just had his last game in our uniform. How does a player get kicked off the field by his own team and not the refs? Haha
-
DJ is so checked out
-
I like how the official NFLrules analyst comes in and says it isn’t a foul and they’ve gone overboard lol

Honestly, high school kids would find this cringe. He really was this softy “hard-working” Boy Scout. I legit feel embarrassed for him and the franchise.
