  1. And see. . .you proved my point and didn't even realize it. Any of the top QB's in this draft at this point can be considered average at best yet we mortgaged our future and gave up major draft capital to move to one for no one generational. If our pick at 1 turns out to be great, we lucked into it.
  2. The best career QB of this draft class will not be selected #1 overall.
  3. Personally, I think the fact that there isn't "The" guy -a general overall consensus- says a lot. It means they either all are either really good or (as I lean) average at best. I'm of the opinion we made a huge mistake moving to the 1st pick.
  4. At the time of the trade to #1 . . .maybe. But no chance? Never? Things can change no matter what you thought in the past. Pigeon holing yourself is the wrong decision.
  5. I'm all aboard the AR train but not at #1. I'm not even sure how a smoke screen works when you're holding the #1 pick unless you're more than casually interested in trading back.
  6. Except I saw the trade as a mistake so. . . Like I said, I'll be glad when this is over.
  7. Yep. Frankly I'm tired of it and wish we had never traded for the #1 pick. I'll be so glad when April 27th is behind us and we can just look forward to the season opener and using our new toy(s).
  8. Carry him for sure. If he shows out in preseason and midway through the season another team needs a QB we could send him or Dalton.
  9. My source says none of you have a clue and your source don't either. It's all conjecture. Lol
  10. I would love to get O'Cyrus Torrence but he'll be gone by our 2nd Rd pick. But we do need to address some possible depth for the Oline in the draft. I wouldn't be disappointed if we took Ricky Stromberg with Pick 132 if he's still there. He's listed as a center but also played at OG. He could easily be depth at both positions and possibly take over when we move on from Bozeman.
  11. And this is exactly why you entertain trade talks.
  12. I don't care. I still hate losing those picks. But it's where we're at now and I hope I'm wrong. I will say this, at 9 I was excited about the prospects of trade down for more picks. Then I was shattered at the lose of draft capital on a prayer we pick the right guy (if there even is one in this draft). To now being reservedly excited because of the moves this front office had made in the off-season and am resting my faith on their continued off season performance come April 29th. Go Panthers. Keep Pounding.
  13. My head is spinning. What condition? What round? What pick swap? If it's purely a round for round pick, say our 6th for their 6th, then then Fitts is REALLY betting on the Panthers.
  14. Maybe they feel they've seen everything they need to see from Stroud and are only going to Young's to see if he can change their minds.
  15. Richardson has the highest ceiling of the 4 and if our coaching staff is who we think they are they should be able to coach up any of his deficiencies. And it's not "who I want" but what I want. I want our picks back that we traded.
  16. So far this off season the only mistake I've seen made is giving up too much draft capital. I don't care if it works out. Even the guy that buys a lottery ticket and wins is foolish in the act.
  17. I don't care what the schedule is as long as they don't make the Tennessee game out of the country. My wife and I are planning a vacation to Nashville around that away game.
  18. Thank God. Been waiting for that since noon. I might sleep well tonight.
  19. I was reading this morning one of the pundits (I forget which) suggested he goes to the Raiders for a 4th.
  20. All this talk about the Bucs in line to have the #1 pick next year, nawwwwwww. We're going to have the #1 pick next year. . .wait. . .doh. Bears be laughing all the way to the bank. (Not a reflection on what I think of my team. . .more of a reflection of my luck as of late).
  21. Does anyone know. . .does losing DJ to Chicago make us eligible for a compensatory pick at some point or the fact it was a trade screw us out of that?
  22. IDK who's drafted #1. I have a gut feeling AR will be the best of the 4 down the road though. Maybe not this year or next but when looking back in 10 years I just have that feeling.
  23. His "lack of production" was because he primarily was used as a blocking TE and 2 other TEs on the team were used for receiving instead. Still leaves a question mark. (Those other TEs will be beasts in the NFL when they come out).
