  1. I believe all who make themselves available for the NFL should be required to attend the combine. All the BY stuff would have been settled then. All QB prospects should be required to throw the ball.
  2. Yeah, this is the real issue even if we fixed the OL, WR, TE. We still don't have a franchise QB. What makes all that worse is that by the time we fix all that, if we even do, the D will need a rebuild.
  3. The next coach has all the leverage. Tepper has none. The new guy is gonna get paid an ungodly amount of money and I'm sure he will tell Tepper BY gets a shot, but he's bringing in his QB.
  4. They should use the mock draft services and base their drafts off those.
  5. Sadly you are correct. Maybe just go best available every round. Their drafting lately has really sucked
  6. Draft OL/DL/WR. Trenches are the place to start and we obviously need better receivers. I don't think it matters much, tho.
  7. Totally agree. I guess the bright side is we will probably have the number 1 overall pick and hopefully we won't mess it up this time.
  8. I believe we have no choice but to get the OL right. I'm ok with addressing both lines of scrimmage. If they can't get the foundation right nothing else matters.
  9. This board helps keep me sane. I dunno why.
  10. I believe this post is telling. I've seen many posts, mocks, that would've gone a long way in helping this team. Seemingly, every draft, particularly under Fitterer, is a reach. Fitterer drafts are stock full of bad trades and player evaluation.
  11. Best thing about it all, any coach who comes in to interview is gonna tell those two clowns how it's gonna be. Any candidate for the job is in the catbird seat. They'll probably demand partial ownership.
  12. I can't recall receiver rankings, but wasn't Mingo slated to go later rounds?
  13. Same, put Dalton out there and try to avoid that #1 pick
  14. The way I feel about it. Much as I want to keep Burns, we need assets more than a bloated contract on a pretty good, but not great, DE
  15. This is a little off topic, but I honestly believe we should be in tank mode for next year as well. We really need assets to rebuild this mess. Too many holes to plug
  16. My comment was an indictment of how terrible this franchise is at trades. We give a lot for poo. Talent evaluation is another glaring problem. They miss in the draft and FA. These are structural problems.
  17. Oh man...that's gonna burn deep. Watching the Bears draft a legit QB is gonna pour salt in the wound.
  18. I feel exactly the same way. There is no way forward at present. I honestly think thing the best path is trade whatever you can for several years. I mean trade away next years high second for the following years 1st and 3rd kinda thing. Build assets
  19. Jets could fleece our next 5 1st rounders for him I'm sure.
  20. Any time you draft a QB it's a crap shoot. Any pick really. That said, gamble on the intangibles. Bryce didn't have the size, strength, speed or arm (accuracy) to gamble on. Here we are. Tepper is DUMB!
  21. Nice young core. Honestly just need to keep maturing as a team and need a better coach. One more decent FA move and this team is a playoff team.
  22. Agree with all of this. We have a talented young core. We need to mature and probably find a better coach. Gotta resign Bridges too
  23. Yeah bunch of scrubs. I still don't believe BY can throw the ball more than 20 yards down field, though.
  24. This is exactly how beatdown I am
