  1. I can only assume you have access to the full game film somehow if you're making these claims about Robby getting beat by average corners on nearly every play, considering the camera on gameday only keys in on the QB and then follows the pass to its intended receiver.
  2. Until I see evidence of him continuously getting blanketed in coverage or dropping catches (I know he had one uncharacteristic drop last night), I'm gonna assume he's just getting underutilized either by design or because Darnold isn't looking his way as much. Neither is an indictment of Robby.
  3. I don't recall seeing any "Wow" throws that you'll get from a Zach Wilson or a GOAT like Sam Darnold, but his poise and toughness was commendable. But he seemed to mostly just throw to open receivers last night. He did do a good job operating the 2-minute drill at the end of the first half...much better than I had seen Teddy do at any point last season.
  4. I haven’t seen a player step up in the second half of a game like Chubba Howard since probably either Donald Lafell or Chris Martinez.
  5. I’m perfectly fine trotting out the same dominant lineup as last week. Bouye would’ve been nice depth just in case though.
  6. I predict Charles Omenihu gets a sack and then stbugs will make somewhere between 4-6 threads about it (just teasing buddy).
  7. The WR (Berrios) has the build of a small child by NFL standards but then again, Royce Freeman got destroyed by Roby who is of a similar build, so that really is pretty impressive.
  8. NFL.com's coverage of the Panthers is pretty up-and-down. There was the complimentary article in the OP and another article by Gil Brandt calling us his "hottest" 2-0 team right now. But then there's the general Power Rankings that has us at 18 behind a slew of 1-1 teams (including Green Bay at 6th, really?) and this gem of a QB index that has Darnold at 25th, right below....Mac Jones? With a washed up Matt Ryan and Ben Roethlisberger at 18 & 19? But then again, if they're referring to our protection as "pristine" and think CMC and Moore are constantly getting "wide open" (nevermind the tiny windows Darnold threw into for both of them on Sunday), then I can see why they're cautious to elevate Darnold on their QB index. Yeah I know I know who cares about arbitrary rankings, but it's still funny to me that when it comes to the Panthers, it seems like they have to balance out any praise with a dash of cynicism.
  9. Yeah I agree there are overreactions on both sides. I guess depending on one's temperament and overall attitude towards the team, people are rather selective on which side they call out though. If you're more on the doomer side, you tend to ignore all the hyperbolic statements about how the FO is ruining our franchise and we're gonna be bottom dwellers for years and we're throwing our future away on yet another mediocre patchwork QB and all we've done is beat up on two "bad" teams (shoutout CRA) etc. etc. and you're quick to jump down peoples' throats who talk about how dominant of a team we are, how Darnold's career is saved and he's a legit starting QB, how our defense is one of the best in the league, etc. etc. Personally, I tend to err on the side of positivity (cause why follow a team that makes you miserable) so I'm not gonna waste my time trashing someone who thinks that Kyle Allen is a Top 3 QB or that the Panthers are winning the next 30 consecutive Super Bowls cause I couldn't care less....it doesn't trigger me to see people excited about the team like it does some people. But to clarify my point in my last post: to the people who are conveniently adopting the position of "hey let's wait and see beyond two games how things play out before crowning us as a dominant team"....where the hell was this energy in the offseason? If anyone has followed my posts in any capacity, 99% of my criticism to the doomers in here is to stop overreacting to everything (FA signings, draft picks, training camp performances, etc.) and let's just wait and see how things play out. Woah...crazy thought right? Simply saying "quit overreacting and let's wait and see" during the offseason gets you painted as a homer for Huddle standards lol. But it's become pretty transparent that the "let's wait and see" approach is a convenient, selective tool for certain people only to be brandished when something is threatening their preconceived beliefs about this team.
  10. Yeah this guy earned a subscription on YouTube from me. And only like 30% cause of his respect for the Panthers...he's also pretty entertaining.
  11. Isn't it interesting how all the proud "realists" on the Huddle were very eager and confident in shouting their evaluations from the rooftops in thread after thread after thread in the offseason about how: we're still bottom-dwellers for at least another season any predictions about a top-10 defense is coming from delusional homers Darnold is one of the worst starting quarterbacks our o-line is worst in the league Shaq is an overpaid JAG Fields was the better pick over Horn etc. etc All of this before a single game was played by this team in its current state. Now after two games these are the same people saying across multiple threads "woah woah it's only been two games, way too early for any judgments". Like come on you lil doomers, enjoy the excitement while it lasts...it's okay to entertain some positive discussion. Like yeah no sh#% it's too early to make any definitive conclusions about this team, but quit being boring as hell. You can talk about what has surprised you so far.
  12. Uhhhh….for unestablished rookies, draft position is pretty meaningful (or more specifically, how good of a prospect they are which is reflected in their draft position). So you are of the opinion that every QB taken in every round of this draft is equally talented and capable until proven otherwise? Trevor Lawrence and Sam Ehlinger are on equal footing in terms of skill?
  13. You have to factor in the gap in talent between Wilson and Mills. That’s like comparing Will Grier to Kyler Murray in the 2019 draft.
  14. I could give you a laundry list of “educated assumptions” going into a season that proved to be laughably inaccurate. Hell, you brought up some yourself (the Panthers’ prospects going into the 2003 and 2015 seasons). Just saying, it’s awfully convenient for you to pick and choose which teams we can already assert are “bad” two weeks into the season while simultaneously holding the general opinion that we should withhold making judgment calls about teams (including our own) a mere two weeks into the season. How many pundits and Huddlers considered the 2021 Panthers as one of these “bad” teams, under the guise of an “educated assumption”? How many assumed (with an educated basis of course) that Darnold would be a failed reclamation project here? Maybe the Panthers will suck this season and maybe Darnold will fail, but so far those assertions seem to at least be in question which is why it’s foolish to think you have any team figured out at this point…including the Jets and Saints, the former of which I’ll remind you has a brand new HC and QB which most people would consider the most significant individual pieces for a team transformation.
  15. It's too early in the season to think we have teams figured out and yet you were confident classifying the Jets and Saints as two "bad" teams? A bit contradictory, no?
  16. I would advise you apply some nuance to our win beyond "Saints had injuries, therefore it was a largely meaningless win against a bad team". I can grant the role that their defensive injuries played and how that might cause some reservations about giving too much credit to the offense. But when I see the Saints put up 38 against Green Bay in Week 1 and only 7 against us in Week 2 and the only difference between the two offenses was a single o-lineman? Both of their elite tackles constantly getting manhandled? Kamara rushing for 0.6 yards per carry? Yeah sorry I don't buy the argument that we chalk all of that up to their defensive injuries or their single o-lineman. I mean unless you didn't watch the game and only looked at the scoreboard.
  17. I think Fox is who we were hoping Weatherly was: a talented pass rusher who was buried on the depth chart of a good defensive line. They nailed it this time.
  18. Unless he gets charged by a 190 pound CB, then he is falling backwards on his a%$.
  19. My Fantasy league awards DST 1 point per 10 return yards so my opponent, starting the Saints’ defense, actually ironically outscored me quite a bit, starting the Panthers’ defense, because of our kicker allowing so many kickoff returns lol.
