  1. Coaches also don't "typically" get fired 5 games into a season lol so yeah of course interim head coaches would just run things out cause that team is usually statistically out of playoff contention. We're literally a mere two games behind in our division in what is still the first third of the season. I sure as hell hope our players and coaches are still trying to win games and make a run at the playoffs.
  2. Where are you getting these numbers from? I mean I'm guessing you're combining his NFL with his XFL to boost his "pro" numbers, but even just with the Panthers, the dude has 8 interceptions. NFL + XFL he'd be at 17 TDs (18 with rushing) and 12 INTs, not 16 and 7. And his completion percentage with his "current team" (i.e. the Panthers) is 58%.
  3. I really can't believe you guys continued for about 15 more pages after Mr. Scot said Dan Morgan wouldn't accept a job promotion to one of the most prestigious positions in one of the most competitive and lucrative industries in the world which he has been working towards for years...all because his buddy got fired. I'm sure all our former Temple and Baylor players led by Robby Anderson are gonna lock arms and sign kumbaya in protest and forfeit their paychecks until Matt Rhule gets reinstated as Panthers' HC too.
  4. Icky was supposed to be the raw one with the highest ceiling but he’s already outperforming Evan Neal and Charles Cross.
  5. Calculated Risk-Taker Ronald clarified that he was talking about the QB's familiarity within the offense, i.e. Wentz has been with Washington for 1 year whereas the other QBs have had much longer to learn and operate within their respective offenses. https://www.nfl.com/news/commanders-hc-ron-rivera-takes-mea-culpa-for-carson-wentz-comments
  6. I've been trying to look for an injury update but haven't been able to find anything yet. We desperately need him lined up on Kupp Sunday to hopefully slow him down.
  7. I find your argumentation from the offseason to present day to be very confusing. You wouldn't allow any criticism of Joe Brady because you argued he wasn't the primary issue with the O and it deflected blame away from Matt Rhule. You also argued that Matt Rhule was a notorious micromanager who had his fingers all over the offense which is why you largely absolved Joe Brady. But now, you're all "McAdoo McAdoo McAdoo" in thread after thread after thread and very explicitly blaming him for all our offensive woes. Your McAdoo:Rhule critique ratio is about 15:1 which means the CRA from 2 months ago would have accused you of being a Rhule lover who deflects blame from him any chance he gets. So what has changed? Did Rhule all of a sudden stop micromanaging? I doubt that, because as you've argued multiple times, micromanagers don't just stop micromanaging - they don't go against their nature. Me on the other hand: I can argue that Joe Brady was a terrible OC and now McAdoo has been a terrible OC. The common denominator seems to be Rhule who is either micromanaging to the detriment of our offense, or is just absolutely horrible at picking OCs. See? Very straightforward, no inconsistencies. But the offseason CRA would have an absolute field day with the present-day CRA and the pass you're giving Rhule for our offense.
  8. Ignoring our forfeited draft pick going from a 4th -> a 5th (which in itself honestly should be /thread), we would also be able to figure out the issue on the batted passes. If batted passes continue under Darnold or PJ, then yeah it's an OC predictability issue. If they miraculously disappear after a QB change, then yeah it's a Baker issue. Really all you can give Baker the edge on is committing less turnovers (1 per game vs. Darnold's 1.4 per game last year). But the alternative of going 3-and-out every possession under Baker is not a huge improvement and tbh to a casual fan who sees football as entertainment, it makes for a much more boring game than a QB who can somewhat move the chains but throws a boneheaded pick once a game. Also we've honestly been lucky not to have more turnovers this year considering all the fumbled snaps and batted passes.
  9. Normally I'd agree, but we got a very similar rotational run-stopping DE in Henry Anderson for essentially vet minimum late in the offseason who has arguably been out-performing YGM. I do think he'll probably get a second contract somewhere, but I also think these types of players don't appear to be in particularly high demand.
  10. Opposing DCs will soon be implementing new training drills for their d-linemen:
  11. I'd say the same thing about any GM or coach who would look at our roster and draft picks and say "Nope I don't think I can win with this. I need to be primed for success with top shelf talent at every position".
  12. Erving was bad but I mean the dude wasn't even the worst OL on our team last year lol. John Miller and Michael Jordan were considerably worse IMO...*shudders*.
  13. It's almost like our completely dysfunctional garbage offense has a lot of blame to go around...
  14. And then on the other end of that, you have a team like the Lions who proves that you can have a league-leading historically dominant offense (35 ppg) and still be 1-3 and in last place in your division if you disregard the importance of fielding a competent defense.
  15. Maybe I’m missing something in the formula, but I don’t get how a 3-year $45 million ($15 million/year) contract for Haason Reddick is negated by a 2-year $6.9 million ($3.45 million/year) contract for Damien Wilson. Those don’t seem remotely comparable.
  16. Depends on the way you look at it. If you compare 2021 Darnold Weeks 1-3 vs. 2022 Baker Weeks 1-3, Darnold was better and it's not even close. The problem is that Darnold fell off a cliff shortly after, presumably in part as teams adjusted to his tape. We really can't afford for Baker to get any worse, we have to hope he inversely improves significantly as the season goes on where Darnold crumbled. I do think Baker has the mental fortitude to overcome early struggles and keep his poise, whereas Darnold just seemed to too often go into panic mode and snowball if things went wrong.
  17. @Khaki Lackey rest assured, whatever Mr. Scot accuses other people of doing, it's almost always guaranteed to be a projection based on something he had done recently. Here's his thread from earlier this month where he got clowned on for a post he made and then he had to come out like "guys I was just kidding, sheesh relax". I guess he recognized how douchebaggy his post sounded or something?
  18. The same 60% are still convinced he's a franchise QB, but he's just held back by his coaching, o-line, and receivers. You know.....the Sam Darnold defense. If he continues to look like the same wildly erratic QB by the time he cycles through 5 different coaching staffs and o-line/receiver groupings, then maybe they will concede that he might have something to do with it.
  19. Blitzing Chinn off the edge was a welcome change. The less we use him deep in coverage, the better. Blitzing him makes much better use of his skill set. The dude is shot out of a cannon on blitz plays.
  20. I have no idea how we managed to completely neuter CMC in the pass game. Not sure if it’s McAdoo or Baker, probably a combination of the two.
  21. Every Rhule 1st rounder has started from Week 1 but okay bro lol.
