  1. I'm also very confused by what point he's trying to make...but my best guess is that he's refuting your claim that Baker always "backs up" what he says. "If he states something, he owns it and backs it up" is what you said, and he provided a couple examples of how Baker talked trash but ended up losing the game. Which has absolutely nothing to do with anything lol. Baker "owning" what he said is the relevant portion to 99% of this thread about Baker vs. the reporter.
  2. We really got people who can't even acknowledge that we could win the South this year? this is a pretty mild claim. The competition for the South on paper should be the weakest it has been in several seasons. Should we be favored to win the South? No...but could we win the South? Definitely, and it wouldn't exactly take that many things to go our way.
  3. This is pretty clearly a brand new package. Unless you're suggesting they used to have a free all-inclusive food/drinks pre-game event.
  4. Why not make the same argument for something like lower level vs. upper level seating? Should we make every ticket at BOA stadium the same price (or free) and reserve lower level seating for families and diehards? And stick all the corporate people in the upper levels? It’s one of those things that sounds nice in a utopian philosophical sense, but it’s so far out of touch with how things actually operate in this country (*cough* capitalism). This just sounds like such a routine business practice. Same thing as Taylor Swift or w/e offering backstage VIP passes for thousands of dollars. Her diehard little kid fans would probably “get the most out of it”, but is she evil for offering a package like that?
  5. Whatever name is in front of our stadium barely registers on my list of franchise priorities that concern me. I don't think the Ericsson -> BOA switch affected my life in any way.
  6. For some reason I'm concerned the surgeon may have dropped the scalpel a few times.
  7. Such an eloquent post about poop ahead of our Week 1 match against the Browns? *Gasp* could it be…….Super Bowel confirmed?
  8. He also seemed to do a good job picking up the blitz. Or at least on that one individual play from the Bills game that stuck out lol. Coaches love that from a RB.
  9. Just based off a few tweets about other teams’ cuts today, it seems like there were a decent number of teams giving up on 2021 mid-round picks after one year. The ones that come to mind are Kellen Mond (3rd round pick, Vikings), Ian Book (4th round pick, Saints), and Buddy Johnson (4th round pick, Steelers).
  10. Corey Coleman is a former 1st round WR from....wait for it.......Baylor but don't worry, that was before Rhule was hired there.
  11. I don't think you impulsively cut ties with a talented highly drafted second-year player unless they've proven on the field that they don't belong in the NFL. You don't cut one because of a single injury-riddled season. By all accounts, TMJ has been performing very well in camp and at least in some kind of game setting (rookie preseason). If he has another season like last year? Then yeah, I think it's harder to justify committing a roster position and so you cut your losses and move on at that point.
  12. It always confuses me when we trade with a bad team and people complain about how we're trying to "emulate" said team, or go dumpster diving for bad teams' scraps. Like...would you feel more confident that we "won" a trade with a smart and successful organization like the Steelers or Chiefs? Or with a dysfunctional franchise like the Jaguars or Browns? I'd be a lot more skeptical if we were trading with a good team that was willing to part with a young talented player.
  13. It’s a damn shame…I miss SCP, but can you imagine if he posted one of his weekly rallying threads ahead of our game to trash talk our opponent? There would absolutely be a contingent of Huddlers who would unironically poo his thread and call him a boot-licking loser. I guess he considers Twitter less toxic lol.
  14. Is it safe to say we mortgaged our entire franchise’s future on this?!
  15. Seriously, the dude throws tantrums in every thread and yet "betting avatars" is where he draws the line at childish lol.
  16. Oh...so you both called him a "baller". Pretty crazy stuff, my mistake.
  17. Do we really need to bring teammate praise into this you know how many players have praised Sam Darnold in our locker room? No doubt Howell has looked good in the preseason, I think we can probably let his performance speak for itself.
  18. Not only that, but specifically because Rhule is bitter and resentful that he's not Kenny Pickett (who Rhule could have drafted at 6 if he wanted to).
  19. My post was about the tweet. I'm saying I think it's been long enough to drop the "former 1st-round pick" designation for players like Treadwell who have bounced around the league for 6+ years.
  20. I think the "former 1st-round pick" designation loses a bit of weight when we're talking about a 2016 1st-round pick lol. Draft position is pretty irrelevant after a couple years.
  21. Strangely, Icky graded WAY higher in PFF’s preseason scoring for pass blocking (88.5) vs. run blocking (57.3). We all saw him struggle at times in pass blocking so that doesn’t quite pass the sniff test considering 88.5 is quite an elite pass blocking grade, but interesting nonetheless.
