Non-Fan: So, how did the big game turn out? Duke Fan: Not too bad, we came in second Non-Fan: So, how did Carolina do? Duke Fan: Terrible, they came in next to last

Elflein will move to MLB or CB - he's got one of the fastest backpedals on the team.

You know what is telling? When you give your grandson some Panthers gear, which he used to love, and he is genuinely disappointed. Even the elementary school kids get that the Panthers aren't cool any more. Doesn't matter how much Rhule says his process is working - 1st graders can tell it ain't so.

Panthers 2021 QBs rank #41 and #42 out of 32 NFL teams
RevJ replied to Billy Love's topic in Carolina Panthers
Asking for a friend: Since there are going to be 8 USFL teams does this mean we don't have a NFL or USFL caliber starter? -
Don't think any of us care - but we won't be turning in the card with the name on it.

Not sure how the thread got this far without someone asking "but how long are his arms"?
-
I say give them 4 1st rounders Sam CJ Cam and Gilmore ( after re-signing)

So, you’re either a cardiologist or manage the 5 minute oil change shop ?

Rosinski was as good as Mixon was bad

Rashawn Slater named 2nd team All-Pro at LT
RevJ replied to SuperBowlBound's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not sure how these writers get to choose the All-Pro Team. It's obvious they just ignored his lack of ideal size . . . -
I think he could make the top 64 and secure a job doing this: Matt Rhule New Job

Too bad we don't have "Jimmy Chinn"

I know it's not been a good year for him but he did just get back from Covid - maybe a wee bit of mercy . . .

Brady Christensen just had the best game at LT of any Panther this season.
RevJ replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
BC got nail extensions for Christmas, rendering his arms now long enough to play LT. 2 were broken off during game, a couple more and he would have been moved back to LG -
Based on our line, I'd be glad to have Howard Richards, if he is still alive. . .
-
This would be the same Vikings who did not guard the goal line and gave the Lions a walkoff TD. Not sure how Brady would have helped with that.

I agree no buyer's remorse. May need to send another letter to PSL owners saying, "we pledge to reattain mediocrity, then have you build a new stadium, before reclaiming our rightful spot in the lower echelons of the league."
-
A little over 2 years ago, the owner let it be known mediocrity will not be tolerated. He has kept his word as we move farther and farther away from the middle of the pack. 2-7 last nine games / 15 and 29 since he's been in control. Good ways to go to get back to mediocrity.

Official Panthers at Dolphins Playoff Push GameDay thread
RevJ replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
So, PJ will come in and provide a spark against a soft prevent difference and same people who were demanding we sign Cam to long term contract will want hime benched so PJ can carry us to the playoffs. -
We couldn’t keep Perryman. He didn’t get along with the Temple-Baylor alumni club.
-
I’d put him at D-line even at his current weight. He couldn’t be worse than our interior players and there would at least be an understandable reason as to why he didn’t make tackles.

Old friend Jack Del Rio talking about qb situation this Sunday
RevJ replied to BurnNChinn's topic in Carolina Panthers
Don't see Cam not learning playbook as criticism, just a fact about any QB in a short time. Don't want to be a team or fans that has to find insults in every comment so we can play with a combination of butthurt and chip on the shoulder. Rather just find confidence in what we can do and roll with it.
