  1. I also watched every game and pulled for Clausen in 2010 (what else could we do?). So maybe I should diagnosed as insane haha
  2. I completely agree. It's hard to discern whether he helped the past couple of weeks or was just...there...making bottom-of-the-rung NFL throws. I'm so torn as a lifelong Panthers fan I don't know what to believe anymore. I'm just looking for positives. From the reading of some posts here (I've been a lurker since the start but created an account later), I should always have a negative attitude. I understand Tepper and our previous GMs. But it seems like the majority have a negative attitude toward the team and I've just still not accepted it. Yes, I'm a crazy person who should just accept it, lol.
  3. This is the way I feel and why I'm so confused. Is he tricking me into pulling for him? As everyone has said, he seems to be a very likeable person and I don't doubt that. But for what we gave up for him as a #1 pick, being likeable isn't NFL drafted #1 (after giving up what we did) likeable. Loved Cam to death and he proved his worth year 1. But I know he was a once in a lifetime (hopefully not though) talent. I'm probably just gullible and am trying to pull for any positivity, no matter how small and insignificant. Love the team but even seeing mediocre play at this point makes me feel uplifted and positive. Which is kind of sad but, again, I've been a fan since the start so I'm just unfortunately expecting losing seasons, etc.
  4. Am I the only one who feels conflicted? Fan since a team was announced so close to me in '93 (used to be a Redskins fan). Never faltered as a fan, ever. However, I watch Bryce and for some reason I try to justify that pick at #1. Like maybe he's learned something sitting on the bench while Dalton played a few games. I was totally on board with Bryce getting kicked to the curb several weeks ago. Like 100%. But watching these last couple of games, I hate to admit that I'm pulling for the guy. Am I the "bad guy" for saying so? I have no clue. I'm so conflicted that I've confused myself. I love the Panthers and just want the best for them. I think our receivers are looking decent to good, 1-3 potentially looking great including the TE. Chuba looked great after getting his extension which is rare in my experience of watching. But I'm just torn on the rest. I hate to wish bad on Bryce. And at the same time like his *decent* play the last couple of weeks. Am I just wanting more than what's there? Again, I've never wavered as a fan since the announcement in '93. I've been through the horrible years, regardless of owners. I have my personal opinions of Tepper. But I'm watching Bryce and just hoping to God that he keeps improving. If someone can just destroy my hopes and that we have absolutely NO choice but to wait for another 1st string QB, please destroy me. I'm just trying to find light in this team I've loved for over 30 years. But I know it may not be possible as far as QB goes.
  5. I'm fairly sure that pic was taken before Super Bowl 50 but, again, I could be wrong.
  6. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's Clete Blakeman with his wife in the Broncos gear. As you know, Clete was the head ref of Super Bowl 50 in which we played the Broncos and lost.
  7. Don't know if it's been mentioned in this thread but I don't like Romo as a commentator.
  8. Thing is I don't hate either one. But these ref calls/noncalls are just ridiculous.
  9. Same. If you reach forward and go to the ground with that forward reach, you should get it. But if you reach forward and then bring it back to your body for safekeeping, it should count the same as if you had forward progress but then turned and ran back a couple of yards. You lose forward progress at that time. Only breaking the goal line should reaching and bringing it back to your body like that count. Just my opinion.
  10. Gotcha, hadn't realized it wasn't announced when they posted. I've been refreshing the thread every couple of minutes and wondered why they were getting chewed out. I'm on DirecTV which is usually behind other "live" land-based broadcasts anyway.
  11. I'm confused as you are. What is the time limit before you're able to post about a pick in this "general draft" thread? 2 minutes? 10 minutes? I've only followed about 90% of this thread so if the rules for non-Panthers picks were posted, my bad.
  12. Yep, Sam had it but if Cam were in, it wouldn't have been debatable. Most likely a TD. Refs always gonna ref against us.
