  1. I’ve been wondering about those anonymous reports. His 40 and bull rush on tape looked good, although bull rush can be more so attributed to leg strength. Give me the trade down to the early teens and this becomes a better convo for all of us. It would definitely generate excitement with the early 2nd rounder.
  2. Good point and good problem to have. Hopefully they make the right choice. I am not a fan of smaller edge players but as I mentioned in the initial post he’s a playmaker. I would not be mad, by any means with Walker. Pearce is probably just one of my 1st picks.
  3. More tackles for loss too. Pearce has better production for Edge. Has to be the intangibles for Walker and potential red flags for Pearce that has one flying up boards while Pearce is slotted to be drafted in the late 1st.
  4. Did you check the stats? That’s why I like James Pearce Jr. better. Pearce has been more productive than Walker from an Edge standpoint and he has better size. 7.5 sacks in 13 games and 10 sacks last year compared to Walker having roughly 10 sacks in 2 years. Elite burst and power off the edge. In my opinion he will be better than Burns because he closes the deal when he gets to the quarterback. Now if you are talking about intangibles? Hands down Walker is better. Everyone gloats about his leadership. I don’t understand why Pearce gets such a bad rap unless I missed some of his off the field incidents.
  5. While I like Walker he scares me because of his tweeter size. I know he screams baller on tape, but I’m not a fan of his size for the edge. My 1st option would be a trade back. If we traded back to 12 to 15 and picked up an early 2nd to go with pick 57 I would go with BPA. In the 12 to 15 range I would not be afraid to go safety Malaki Starks, Nick Emmanwori or even TE Tyler Warren as our 1st round pick but in that range I really just want BPA I may be in the minority, but if we could not trade back with decent value I want prototypical size at 8 for our Edge pick. Give me James Pierce Jr.
  6. Yeah if we got Nick with a trade back my head might explode being so giddy. It’s a passing league but both safeties would make up for deficiencies in the run and pass. The extra draft capital too! An early 2nd rounder for an edge and maybe a receiver with pick 57! OMG we could potentially crush the draft
  7. The analytics say support your young quarterback
  8. It makes sense to me too. Most of the edge’s available outside of Carter arguably are not gonna start over Clownely and Wonnum. We had the worst run defense in league history. The options available at 8 are good but mostly one dimensional. Preston Smith isn’t a bad 3rd option for our 3rd edge.I know we need another edge but IMO you pick a starter at 8, which is Warren or the receiver from Texas. We should go defense the rest of the draft, unless we get a steal offensive lineman in the 3rd round or later.
  9. Agreed outside of maybe the Georgia Free Safety ….. Tet would have the biggest impact.
  10. Have you watched the tape on Tyler Warren? I think he could be the Alpha our TE/ WR room needs. He’s a good blocker 6-6 and I honestly think Tet McMillan is scared to run a 40 because his time would mirror Warren’s 4.6.
  11. I don’t understand why they opted for 1 year. He’s solid. It must have been the injury from this past year where Brad wanted to try the free agent market next year.
  12. Especially considering the cost of Milton. 26 million a year yikes. New England can have him.
  13. I completely agree with your take. This draft is deep on the defensive line, in addition certain positions can be filled in free agency. I think I read a report that after QB, left tackle, wide receiver and edge rusher gobble up the salary cap. If that’s the case getting a wideout to pair with Coker and Legette becomes more valuable. T-MAC needs to be bumped up a notch as a result. If Derrick Brown comes back healthy we can get a nice defensive tackle or end in the 2nd or 3rd round.
  14. We need a rolling on the floor laughing emoji. I had something similar happen when I ate Venison (deer) at a friend’s family function. Yours is way more traumatic!
  15. Diontae big time issue. Mingo just fell out of favor and we had an opportunity to fleece the Cowboys.
  16. Man I have been looking for you. So glad YOU were right and I was wrong about Bryce. When watching him play the last couple of games I have been impressed. I can see the light coming on. I got on you, a little bit, about still having faith in BY. I don’t remember what the post was about. I just knew I was tired of losing and I felt I took it out on you for keeping the faith. I just wanted to apologize for my bitterness in my post.
  17. Thank you! Looking at the top 4 quarterbacks in the league and only 1 was picked #1 overall. It was beyond clear that Burrow was going to be good. Along with Cam he had the greatest season ever. Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen and Pat Mahomes were all drafted later in the 1st. These guys coming out aren’t a guarantee. Next year there are some bonafide studs.
  18. Where are you getting this information or disinformation? The Panther were winning the entire game and Bryce’s meh play down the stretch allowed the Giants to tie the game and go into overtime. On top of that Bryce literally handed the ball off 3 times in overtime after the Giants fumble close to the red zone.
  19. He missed an easy throw to Coker to ice the game. That by definition is a mistake.
  20. Okay I’m on the same page as you. At first I didn’t understand where you were coming from until you admitted Bryce is not the future. The problem with most of us is Tepper mortgaged the Panthers best players and tons of draft prospects for a QB that has a ceiling of a game manager. You don’t win Super Bowls with a game manager and you shouldn’t pick game managers 1st overall and give up multiple 1st round picks. Brock Purdy was drafted 6th or 7th round. Brock is more athletic, has a better arm and stands taller in the pocket to make better decisions. Conversely look at what we gave up for Bryce.
  21. And you can see him going through his reads. Really good at standing tall surveying the field. I even saw a few plays where he guided the safety away from his intended target.
  22. No he wasn’t! Yes Bryce Young was high on tons of boards, but there were a lot of former players and analyst that had major concerns about how he projected at the NFL level. I’m not ragging on you, but you BY apologist have to stop. Heck 60 % of this board went quiet before the draft because we did not see BY as the better prospect than Stroud. We also knew we had no vote with the front office. The one intangible that BY has is intelligence. He’s not tall, he’s not athletic, he doesn’t have a big arm. It’s laughable that this organization saw him as #1 overall.
  23. Agreed people that say Daniel Jones haven’t watched his awful decision making and ball placement in games. Darnold was better 2 years ago than Jones is right now.
  24. Those know-it-all’s are quiet now………lol
  25. I have been baffled since day 1 why anyone that used logic considered Bryce Young a day 1 QB prospect. Outside of intelligence Bryce never showed any plus traits to be considered a round 1 prospect. I expected about 3 to 4 wins this season at this point I can see 2 to 3. Morgan invested all of the team’s resources to try to make Bryce look serviceable. That kind of decision can only be granted to a 1st time GM by the owner. Hey! Let’s divest all resources from the defense and invest it into the offense. This has been a forced experiment to coddle Tepper’s ego. Tepper wanted to prove to the world he knew what he was doing by picking Young over Stroud. He did not.
