I always had a feeling that Moore regressed because he didn’t feel secure with the team drafting Clausen high in the draft. Could be wrong, but he looked like he was pressing instead of playing free the year before.

Yeah. And to be clear, I don’t want to put that all on him. From top to bottom of the organization, what we were sold, vs what we ended up with…I’m just stunned. For the first time in my life, I just don’t like football anymore. This organization did a number on my fandom. I’m not even sad anymore. I just barely care. I’m still here though. So my fandom isn’t entirely gone yet. But it’s hanging on by the thinnest of threads.

Probably unpopular. Probably irrational. Probably dumb: But I don’t want to watch Bryce anymore. I just don’t care. Even when he “plays well” it’s just boring, dunk dunk, “efficient”. It’s very passive and every pass feels like a “settle for” type of pass. There’s just zero wow. Zero balls. This is the most apathetic I’ve felt as a fan.

Could be. People like to think you can reduce everything to hard data and numerical value…but some poo can’t be measured that way. Human beings, their minds, and everything that influences them…poo is complex.

Sure but he missed a wide open TMJ on a crossing route who had 3-5 yards of separation, with the potential to house it. He was gun shy last night too. I saw plenty of open receivers, and he either just hesitated and didn’t pull the trigger, or he didn’t progress to them in time (or by design he wasn’t supposed to look their way). Every position group has regressed. This a complete failure from top to bottom. Including Young. He’s a rookie so he gets the least blame to me, but he ain’t showing anything right now. Hell he may be broken at this point. And I don’t see anything that validates “#1 pick”. Again, not his fault. But damn this is depressing poo and this is a low point in franchise history.

Looking like it. This was my angle a year before while discussing QB’s in the Corral draft. Everyone drooling over Young/Stroud…but the unanswerable question mark was how much success was them vs. the talent around them. Pickett/Corral/Howell, etc didn’t have the supporting casts that Young/Stroud did. Stroud has already shown he is an individually talented player. Young? Still waiting. Not looking likely.

I’m rooting for it. This team makes me hate football. I’ve loved the game my whole life, and now I don’t. I hope they get smashed for taking this game from me.

I banged the drum for a vet while we allow Corral to come back and develop. Clearly I was wrong on Corral, but damn that was a cheaper way to fug up.

Here’s the thing about that test. I don’t necessarily think the S2 test is worthless. Might be, but maybe not. The thing is…”processing speed” only matters if you are athletic enough to play in the NFL. Young isn’t half the athlete Corral is. Their arms aren’t even comparable. And Corral isn’t even in the league anymore. Not even sure he’s alive tbh.

How could the decision makers who saw these guys in person NOT SEE THAT? Unbelievable.

All I know is an interim coach with largely Rhules staff had every position group playing better than this staff with coaching experience dating back to 47 B.C.

…I’ve watched all those guys. But it’s like commentary is told to compliment this kid. All he does is 8 yard throws. This kid makes Teddy 2 Gloves look like Big Ben.

Best case scenario is this kid becomes a game manager who takes what the defense gives him. Stroud does what he wants to the defense. Every throw looks effortless. The people who evaluated both these guys IN PERSON, who made the final decision to take Bryce…bye bye. You don’t know what you are doing.

Never heard any other QB get “nice throw!” comments from the commentary after 8 yard throws. That’s such basic poo and he gets sucked off for it all the time. He’s so “composed” though. It’s like talking heads just want nice guys out there, and winning/production comes after. Was Cam ever complimented over an 8 yard throw to a TE over the middle? No…he just balled out on Sunday and got criticized for the towel on his head. It’s all bullshit.

Just go ahead and tell me how overrated Burns is and how air defends the run better than he does.

At this point, people thinking Burns isn’t worth $30 mil per are delusional. I don’t mean that as an insult. The market is the market. It would have been nice getting the deal done earlier because it would have been less, but the numbers only go up over time. We naturally have certain numbers stick in our head, but it always inflates. Then we say things like “well this guy makes this much and he’s better than Burns so Burns shouldn’t make more”, but it’s irrational because Burns is getting his contract after that “better player” and the market has adjusted. That’s why every QB contract is the “richest QB contract in history.” It always goes up. So does the cap. A lesser pass rusher just got a deal we don’t think Burns is worth…but that’s your opinion, and not the opinion of front offices in the NFL. Clearly.

His hands were his weakness. Big props to him for putting in the work. And Tremble too. He’s looking much improved and it’s something else that it took Thomas getting “injured” for him to get on the field. He’s already shown more than Thomas ever had “imo”.

What are you basing that on?

To be fair, the huddle has also been wrong more than Scott Fitterer too.
