Daryl Williams was a guy I watching in college. I always kept my eye on Oklahoma since they always kicked my Mizzou Tigers in the face every time they played. Lots of talent. Getting Williams where we did was amazing. Huge, powerful man who performed at a high level at a big school and had a good combine. He would dominate ends in college. The negative every "scout" seemed to focus on was "slow foot speed, most likely a guard at the next level" even though he dominated at the tackle position and demonstrated solid foot speed in workouts. He was a team leader and had everyone's respect, and on top of it, he plays with a mean streak. I just don't see why he fell so far.

I think you are thinking of the wrong Brown. Corey Brown will be on this roster. -

Who looked better? Alexander? Addison? -
If you recall our defense really came along when guys like Norman, Ealy, Bene, Glanton, and BOSTON were either made starters or got more PT. They added energy, athleticism, and they made plays. Knowing Boston was part of that improvement, I am not worried at all. He offers range and athleticism to a safety group that has lacked both for many years here. Every safety has been beaten deep before. A second year safety getting beat by our #1 WR in the first week of training camp, and a couple examples during his rookie year do not "confirm" anything.

Yeah those cleats are amazing. Physically I know he can do it, but it's all about repetition and technique for him. He should be in CJ's back pocket constantly. He can learn a lot from him.

Sure, he was bent backwards but shielded Alexander to the left and kept him there. Oher did just fine. Now I want to see him against DE's that actually produce.

You really don't believe drinking and driving is a common practice? Ever been to Uptown Charlotte on a Thursday evening?

Come on Batman, you are better than that. A bucket is a bucket, inside the paint or not. Why should it matter were the basket comes from as long as the percentage is there? Obviously MJ had a better shot, but Lebron is much better using his frame in the lane than MJ was. What kills me about MJ and Lebron comparisons is that they play the game with completely different styles. Lebron's numbers also show the era he is playing in, as he makes his living being a brute in the lane and from behind the arc, while MJ ate up the midrange game that was more indicative of his time. Lebron is a PF/SF with a power game. MJ was a SG with a graceful game. All that being said, this game is a team sport. People give Lebron the Dan Marino treatment. Much like Dan, Lebron has had to carry teams. The more I look at the Heat, even those teams were flawed. Sure you Had the big three, but the team was poorly built beyond that. They never had a post presence or a strong enforcer/rebounder. MJ played with Rodman, Grant, and his teams had multiple 7 footers clogging the lane defensively. Phil Jackson and co. knew how to build teams that lacked glaring weaknesses. Without the injuries, this year Cavs team would have been the most balanced team Lebron has ever been a part of regarding talent, and he has had to wait until his 30's for that to finally happen.

Some people just hold ignorant hate. Thanks for pulling these numbers.

Yes, excuses are excuses. Excellent observation. I never held Lebron to MJ's standard. That being said, MJ is done, and Lebron is the best in the world now. Lebron hate kills me. Cleveland was relevant...Lebron leaves...they turn to poo and remain that way while he carries the Heat...Lebron comes back...Cleveland goes from pathetic to Eastern Conference Champs. Is he MJ? No, since it is impossible to completely replicate a human being and their achievements. But he is Lebron, the best player of his generation in the entire world and it isn't even debatable. Hate him or love him, anyone that disagrees either doesn't have a television or does not know basketball.

Must not remember Mr. Volume Shot himself...Allen Iverson... Numbers don't tell the whole story my man. His supporting cast had the scoring ability of the Charlotte Hornets...

It would be nice if people would stop hating on the best player in the world, but I guess that comes with the territory. I get disliking him. He annoys me at times. He has the worst "cry to the refs" face I think I have ever seen, but I am fully aware he is the best player and the only one that should be considered for the lead in another Space Jam.

I'm not saying you should not talk about it, but I advise letting it go, as I have had to do with Biz. Otherwise you will let something you can't control piss you off... I also suggest a vacation to Miami like I just had. It was a blast, and I didn't give two sheets about sports for a week.

Seriously guys, Cho and Cliff already said Batum is our shooting guard. They literally said that during a press conference.

Frank Kaminsky looking good in summer league
Wundrbread33 replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Charlotte Hornets
I think Lebron is more skilled than you give him credit for, however I agree with your post. An even better example would be Dwight Howard, who I believe is the true poster child of the athletic player who gets by while not developing skill. -

Scouts say he has less potential because theoretically a 19 year old has developed less physically and mentally. The issue is people tend to disregard how talented (or not) that same 19 year old is currently. People fall in love with an athletic freak with no actual talent, just because he is young and athletic. Sure, he could develop into an elite player, but it is a complete crap shoot. His actual potential might have him end up where Frank is now. Frank is 22 and shows an incredible skill level and feel for the game. I know it is a different game, but most football rookies are 21-23 and no one says they lack potential. Frank will continue to mature physically for another 5 years or so, and I see him expanding mentally as well. Will he improve as much as a guy like Myles Turner who is 19? Probably not... ...but then again, Frank is already "myles" ahead of Turner in his development. Sorry for the pun, but it was too corny not to type... -
...anand Toronto just got him for 3 mil per year. No matter what anyone says, no one can convince me that letting Biz walk, especially for that price, was anything but moronic.

I like how "heights are exaggerated" applies to Kemba but not Paul...
