  1. YouTube.com Theres a sweet place where you can type words, and you wouldn’t believe it…it will pull up videos relevant to the words you typed.
  2. Wait I was told there were at least a dozen franchise QB’s in 2023?
  3. I’m just not seeing the huge physical disparity between the two. Darnold was listed 6’3” 221 per NFL combine site. Corral is listed 6’2” 212 “Physical tools” is a little vague. Are we talking size? Athleticism? Arm strength? Corral is a fluid athlete. I’d wager he’s faster and more nimble and has more wiggle in the open field. Arm strength looks comparable too. They both can make all the NFL throws. Sam isn’t a small guy, but he and Corral would look similar standing next to one another, where as your description makes it sound like Cam standing next to Corral.
  4. https://youtu.be/WFOY5dNKs2U One thing that shouts in his tape against UNC (#11), is how effective he is spying Howell. I mean Howell has ZERO chance. Obviously the straight line speed is special, but the way he breaks down and moves laterally. I mean can this man be primarily a linebacker?
  5. This makes camp/preseason far more exciting knowing there is at least someone besides Darnold and PJ taking reps. I hope they don’t hide Darnold again during preseason. I want a real competition.
  6. Willingness to pull the trigger is what jumps out about college Darnold vs NFL Darnold. He most certainly has lost confidence.
  7. I think one reason for the slide this year, was most of the QB needy teams took one last year, and aren’t ready to move on. Jags, Jets, 49ers, Bears, Patriots, Texans And the Bucs and Vikings took dudes on the second day to develop. That’s a lot of teams investing in potential future QB’s already.
  8. Since I didn’t follow Darnold when he was in college, it’s hard to view tape now without bias based on how he has turned out. Essentially, Corral’s tape looks head and shoulders better to me. I know Darnold has 1 1/2-2 inches and 10-15 pounds on Corral, but I don’t see a better QB at the college level. Darnold was younger too. I’m sure that was a factor.
  9. Corrals body type is very similar to Wilson, who you said you would have drafted top 2. So is his size an issue or not?
  10. Yeah it’s unpredictable. The future mystery is always more enticing than the current prospect. There’s always something better. I think right now some of us are caught up on Corral being a 3rd round pick (being compared to Grier for example). There are other factors at play here though. - Not many teams needed a QB - Corral didn’t participate at the combine, and his pro day wasn’t well constructed. - Corral got hurt in his bowl game (even if it was minor). - Other positions were quite strong this year and deep (edge, corner, wr, oline) - Weak QB class narrative was strong. Not just no clear number 1, but not many QB’s period. Like every draft, we will know in a few years. But it is insane to get Corral in the 3rd, and even crazier that Howell fell to the 5th (Regression in play, and to a point, being compared to Baker, who all of a sudden the league thinks is trash, didn’t help him either).
  11. Haha well some of my thoughts: What jumps off the page is the difference in release. Corrals is one of the fastest I’ve seen, and I agree with some who think it might help him to lengthen it a bit. Darnolds swings the ball a yard behind his body on the windup. They both have a great feel for evading pressure and making plays on the run, although Corral is a more natural athlete while Sam is more lumbering, but Sam has more than enough ability to be effective evading pressure. I can see why Sam turned the hall over a lot on college because he kinda was gunslinging it back there. He had balls for sure. I don’t know if it got beaten out of him with the Jets, but it seems like the confidence is shot, but the turnovers are still an issue. You could live with turnovers if the magic stayed, but he seems to play neutered ball now with turnovers from hesitation. He’s definitely in his head now, and thinking instead of playing. I have more thoughts but need to get back to work lol.
  12. I’m curious if anyone else has compared the two this way. I have thoughts but want to know what you all think when comparing the raw prospects. One thing for sure: Darnold doesn’t play with balls anymore like he did at USC.
  13. A year ago “Pass on Fields: tank for Howell/Rattler” was a thing. Now this upcoming class apparently has 5 1st ballot hall of famers in it. No one has a damn clue. Hell last years class was QB rich and they all started their careers looking like ass. Regarding Corral, his footspeed, mobility, throwing angles, release, velocity, short and mid accuracy, pocket movement…he excels at all of this. Does that mean he will pan out? Nope. But talent is there unless you choose not to see it.
  14. If there is value at DT we should try to add a thicc boy.
  15. If you watch enough Corral game tape, Dontario Drummond shines over and over. He timed poorly (4.65 I think) but that time surprised me. He has that thick Deebo build, and his run after the catch is very effective. I’d love a late round flyer on him, or bringing him in as a FA if he goes undrafted.
  16. Watch this free fall piss off one of these QB’s into an all pro. Which one tho…
  17. See I’m the opppsite. I never want a running QB again. I saw the best and don’t want a “lite” version.
  18. What pick will the Browns give us to take Baker?
  19. He would be perfect to take over CMC’s role inevitably in week 5. Seriously replicating those skills in a backup should be a priority.
