  1. Logic doesn’t equal true. It’s the best tool we have, but that’s it. There’s also people here who say “logic” but don’t really know what it means. You can also use deductive logic to make valid statements concluding in untruths. On top of that, roster building is entirely subjective, and the best anyone can do is strengthen or weaken an opinion. So good luck to everyone thinking there is any kind of objective truth at all, let alone when it comes to the formation of an NFL roster. So what does diehards vs. logical thinkers even mean?
  2. A lot of people keep saying “we aren’t competing anytime soon.” Too much randomness and parody in the NFL to say that. Hell, this team is an extra point away from being 2-1 with PJ Walker and Wilks. We have cornerstone players at the most premium positions outside of QB. This team isn’t ass.
  3. Yeah this thread is a great reference if you want to quickly find out who’s reasonable and who’s not.
  4. No. That’s not enough for Burns. Future picks aren’t worth as much as picks for this draft. It’s not exact, but in a way, each year in the future makes the value drop a round. Would you trade Burns for a 2nd and 3rd rounder in this draft?
  5. I liked most of his decisions, but he was just a little off on the throws in the first half. Maybe it was timing but his facial expressions lead me to believe he knew he missed the throws.
  6. College stats are worth as much as Teddy’s completion percentage.
  7. No one here would have a job if this logic was taken seriously.
  8. People will always let perfect get in the way of good. Human nature. The best QB’s to ever play the game throw pick 6’s. I know it’s a platitude, but the other guys really are professionals too. Sometimes they make a better play.
  9. That was indeed prime Kris Jenkins poo. Took me about a minute to realize my jaw was still dropped.
  10. And that draft pick will, likewise, be a longshot at becoming a franchise QB. That just comes with the territory. Like Corral, he will have physical talent, but between the ears, work ethic, coaching, injury, etc…these intangible things make or break prospects at the top level. Then there’s the definition of “franchise QB”. Some day top 10, top 5, and some define it more so by wins than stats. The last three years has me just thirsty for consistent QB play . I don’t care who TBH. Just tired of the QB holding everything back.
  11. Random, but it was cool seeing Baker hug PJ and be excited for him. That was a cool moment, and Baker (like Cam) shows he’s a better dude and better teammate than how he’s portrayed.
  12. That’s my opinion too so PFF is correct.
  13. I have more of a love/hate relationship with Jackson than any other player on the roster. He’s so boom/bust, but he’s likable; he pisses me off, and then shows himself as a good leader. He makes a one hand pick, then celebrates when an open receiver gets overthrown like he did something. Drives me bonkers.
  14. I think the odds that he or Taylor, or maybe both, pan out as solid corners so we are in good shape. It’s a position full of young guys with unrealized and realized potential, and I’m excited for the group.
  15. Yeah I started a thread curious about QB rankings in the next draft, and was curious how people compared Corral’s tape to the upcoming class. It basically devolved into not discussing prospects at all, and “Corral is Jimmy Pickles” posts.
  16. I know this is a hell of an accusation, but it seems like he tends to get hurt after he gives up a big play. Might be a coincidence, but it appears as if there is an element of “see, I got hurt, that’s why I gave up the play” going on.
  17. I forget the psychological term, but there’s a concept that if you know a little about something, you speak overly confidently about it. Upon diving into the topic more, your confidence decreases, and you end up less confident than when you knew nothing at all lol. What you said here reminded me of that.
  18. I agree that sucks. I guess I’ve overlooked that, or he just hasn’t done that to me directly. I still try to take opposing opinions and say “man am I missing this? Do they have a point?” But yeah name calling is shitty and when someone resorts to that…they pretty much lose the argument (and respect) at that point.
  19. @mrcompletely11has a heavy opinion and expresses it. I don’t always disagree with him, but do often. That’s good though. His view sometimes makes me double check my own views, and it’s allowed me to see my bias at times.
  20. What’s the full story here? Henderson made some fantastic plays yesterday (especially that pick). He also jogged on the Byrd TD. He clearly assumed his teammates were making that tackle and he let up. His coaches will absolutely bring that up. Kid is 24, and flashes the talent. He easily runs with guys, showing his elite physical ability. He’s inconsistent, and you look for growth throughout the year and into next. He looks better than last year, so he has grown some. I don’t think it’s out of the question he grows more next year.
  21. Benjamin was a monster. He was just lazy. He was absolutely a weapon and not useless. Work ethic, attitude; all most likely stemming from life unrelated to football kept him from the player he could have been.
  22. Man you are full send one way or the other. It’s wild.
  23. If some of the huddlers had their way, we would have traded/cut Corral, Brown, TMJ, Ikey, Brady, Moton, DJ etc etc after bad showings. The concept of young players having growing pains and being allowed to learn through them is a foreign concept. Everything is emotional.
  24. Why am I being tagged? Because I liked drafting Corral and haven’t called him a bust after 30 camp reps and 3 quarters of 4th string preseason? Seems reasonable and thoughtful. Come to think of it…that is weird here.
  25. He made an awesome two man tackle to save a pick 6. So there’s that.
