  1. People often conflate when a player is drafted, to how good they are. That’s where the “he was a 3rd rounder for a reason” comment comes in, but it doesn’t prove or mean anything. If draft position = talent universally, there would be no such thing as a bust, or a steal. All it indicates is a story, or narrative of how good a player is, and the consensus on front office opinion of the player come draft time. That’s how someone like Dak Prescott lasted to the 4th round. This doesn’t mean Corral will do anything, it just means that him being a 3rd round pick doesn’t say anything about his ability.
  2. Talent dictates seeing the field/success. Where you are drafted really only matters for 1st and to a far lesser extent 2nd round picks. Those players last longer if they suck, because you want to give every chance for those players to justify being picked so high. A GM missing on 1st rounders get fired. If Sam Darnold was a 4th rounder, he’s replaced after his first year. If Trevor Lawrence wasn’t a 1st rounder, and he put up last seasons numbers, he would have been replaced too. We literally have two top 3 pick QB’s on our roster right now who suck. They were given a chance because they were former high picks. They will be on rosters next year…because they were once highly regarded top picks.
  3. You fit the description of a person who I don’t mind disliking him. You have thought out variables, of which you listed. I’m talking about the people who use “preseason” as their foundational argument against him, and don’t have much else if anything to add. It’s akin to those calling Ikey a bust after week 1.
  4. It’s not people disliking Corral that’s the problem. It’s people disliking Corral because of preseason that’s the problem. I just can’t take that seriously. It’s so shallow and absurd. Less than 1 game at the bottom of the chart with a lame duck coach.
  5. His pictures were dope. His takes don’t stand out. They just aren’t detailed. Very “internet clicky” short and vague stuff.
  6. So to be contrarian, Corral is better than all these scrubs.
  7. Yup. What’s over the horizon is ALWAYS better than what’s in front of our faces.
  8. I get what you guys are saying, but damn there are some sad dudes in here. I wonder if you enjoyed any of the Cam/Luke era. Most franchises would do anything to have what we had in 2015. I don’t give a fug about the last game anymore. That poo was an unbelievable treat and it won’t be ruined by 1 day. I’ll never forget going to that NFC championship game. An actual Super Bowl win would be tough to beat the feeling in that stadium that day.
  9. I don’t know. If you are balling out of control in your first contract as a QB, it’s such an important position, you are getting PAID regardless of initial draft position. Just look at Dak Prescott.
  10. Yeah the guys in this class that have every physical tool are underperforming (imo Richardson and Levis), the top two regarded prospects are from big schools loaded with surrounding talent, one of which is also very small, and then the guy taking college football by storm is 25 already (Hooker). Add to it, if PJ continues his play, we will be too competitive to get Stroud or Young anyway. Weird position, and might be a strange draft that we have to take a QB in. You just hate to waste picks. We all have different opinions, but we all agree we are tired of shitty QB play, and we have to hit on a draft pick, or Corral. Who cares ultimately. Just get it done.
  11. I mentioned a few good things I saw in my first post, which are present in the video. I’m not dying on the McCall hill, so if you didn’t see those, that’s fine. Outside of maybe Young and Stroud, I don’t see a QB that’s a clear enough upgrade over Corral that I’d spend a pick on them in this draft. Just another opinion, and it’s fine if you don’t share it.
  12. Why are you being rude? I saw some good things in the video, and you didn’t. I mentioned the things i saw. So what?
  13. Add Anderson or Carter and all of a sudden you don’t have to score as many points as you think you would. PJ/Corral can Trent Dilfer this poo.
  14. You know this reminds me. I think CJ looks odd when he runs. And then I laugh thinking about Rhule changing his gait.
  15. Cam during the pre draft process, and continuing through his career, was treated like a 21st century Jack Johnson (boxer). The difference is with Jack Johnson, the racism was direct. A century later, it was coded. They both were alpha, gifted, unique, obnoxiously confident, and unapologetically authentic. This does not mean all criticism was coded racism, but overall there is a noticeable way that Cam was criticized over his career, vs. his counterparts.
  16. It really wasn’t though. Did anyone watch Gabbert in college? Maybe if you put Chase Daniel’s heart and brain into Gabbert, but the dude just didn’t have it.
  17. I feel like this draft is full of bottom first/early second type QB talents. Young is the most convincing from a talent perspective, with obvious drawbacks. Young/Stroud won’t leave the top 10 (maybe top 3-5) picks, so that value sucks to me. We could complete our d line with elite talent, and then look at someone like McCall in round 2, or simply weapons/G/C, and roll with Corral/PJ (if PJ somehow keeps this play up all season). Will Anderson/Jalen Carter…could you imagine our line with one of those? Exciting.
  18. I would love Gibbs, but we’d need a new OC at least. Imagine running him up the middle every play lol.
  19. So far (as expected) CMC is being used properly by a coach who doesn’t try to force a square peg into a round hole. He’s used in space, stretch zone read runs, catching the ball, and even throwing. He’s a hell of a football player and had no business running dive plays up the gut on 70% of his touches. Win/win. Happy for CMC. He deserves it.
  20. He does NFL things. Off platform. Improvisation. Natural feel in the pocket. Consistent accuracy. He’s better value in the 2nd that any QB in the first unless Bryce has a growth spurt in him.
  21. The more I watch Stroud/Bryce, the more Bryce shines. Something is off with Stroud. Something intangible.
