Probability Analysis of the Burns and DJ decision
Wundrbread33 replied to Evil Hurney's topic in Carolina Panthers
Absolutely agree there: I think they were just using it is a measurable thing even though I hate how bullshit it is too. Solid is tougher to measure. And as @MasterAwesome pointed out, DJ isn’t even a pro bowler even though many of us value him. Kind of throws a wrench in there. I feel like this happens with most stats analysis poo . I still appreciate the effort. It’s more than what most of us do. -

To be fair, a “solid” player is an abstraction, while a “pro bowl” player is something tangible to perform the calculations. -

As someone on the side of “not giving up yet” on Henderson, I cringed when I read this. If his play doesn’t improve, I agree with not picking up his 5th year. It’s a damn shame because physically he’s a stud, but you can’t get by forever on projection.

Brugler: Next year's quarterbacks "not universally loved"

I’m dying of QB thirst right now, but I’m turning down this glass of water. -

Good time to be an Eagles fan for sure. -
Brugler: Next year's quarterbacks "not universally loved"

Since they already have a QB, they want to know if teams picking before them would take QB’s, because that would mean more top talent at other positions would be available. -

People who haven’t been high on the QB’s “See, I told you so.” People wanting Stroud or Young ”This guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about.” -
I like Corral too. He has good tools and seems to have a good head on his shoulders. He has an uphill battle, but he has talent. Most players (period) fail. Any round. Any position. It’s the highest level of the sport. Some people want to masturbate in “I told you so’s” so talking poo about Corral is statistically solid for future back patting.

PFF grades from Week 9 loss to Bengals
Wundrbread33 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Henderson was a projection trade. It’s repeated often that he has elite tools and size. Some receivers made contested catches against him, which sucks, but he’s not lost out there. Not everyone is going to be allpro out the gate. Gotta have some patience with young guys as they develop. You’re lucky if you find a guy with his raw tools in the 3rd round. The real pain is on the Jags, who used a top 10 pick on him. We just need him or Taylor to take a leap next year. I don’t care which one, but the odds are good one of them will. -
So I think this means: Mobile: Passing > Running Duel threat: Passing = Running Running: Passing < Running Pocket: Passing > lulz get fuged I ain’t moving bitch

It appears his arm got hurt because a defender hit his arm.

Norv was up to something special with Cam too…until…
-
I agree to an extent. I do believe Allen is better supported, but I think ultimately Allen is better as a passer and Cam was better as a runner, with Allen having a larger advantage as a passer than Cam having a smaller advantage as a runner (not taking away from Allen, but Cam moving like a running back at his size was silly). The ultimate “what if” with Cam to me, is what if Chud didn’t leave right away, and we invested properly into his offensive line. Cam was absolutely slinging the ball early on.
-
I’m sure they did great coaching and supporting Allen, but the other half (at least) is Allen’s mentality and “want to” and being able to mentally and physically develop. There are potentially two “Allen-ish” type prospects in the next draft physically, but do they have the mental ability and intangibles to get it done? The Bills led the horse to water, but that horse had to be able to drink it all up.
-
This is a great point though. So many people bitched at Cam for pouting or having a bad attitude, but he hated losing. That’s why he was affected by it. Give me that all day. The D needs a Thomas Davis too. It’s missing that fire. That heart. This team needs that again.

Who thinks Wilks and PJ are still the answers?
Wundrbread33 replied to mc52beast's topic in Carolina Panthers
Since Wilks took over the defense has been slipping and then yesterday happened. This team generally has given us at least a motivated defense to watch, but there is a certain demoralizing nature to a shitty defense vs a shitty offense. Watching the defense getting punched in the mouth all day is unbearable. Sometimes watching our poo offense is laughable. I don’t know if that makes sense or not. -

There’s nothing wrong with wanting your team to win. Nothing wrong with rooting for Cinderella stories. I think since we can’t get good football on Sunday’s, people lean into shitting on the team and other people to cope with the losing. They align losing with “being right”, and therefore they get something out of it. -
Firing will continue until moral improves.
-
I could see cornerstone players potentially thinking this way, but most guys can’t afford to put shitty tape out there, and NFL rosters are so competitive you have to keep grinding to stay in the league. So maybe not all, but by and large most players are trying to ball out every Sunday regardless of winning, because their career hangs in the balance.

Confirmed: Al Holcomb is not good at his job

Well you are looking correct. Particularly today. You can’t openly disagree with the prior defensive coach…then take over…and make it look much worse. Oof. -
