  1. Well we are getting closer to specifics. You think his throwing mechanics are terrible. How so? What do you mean? What about his footwork is lackluster? What makes you think his knowledge of the game is lackluster? Is this based solely on the RPO offense he ran in college? Not grilling you, just want specifics so I can have further understanding of your opinion.
  2. So much is off about this. First I don’t think you know what objectivity means. -Next you focus on college stats without any context. That’s surface level naive. -You say “these are the guys that win super bowls.” But you only reference Mahomes and his great stats and “awareness” which you don’t define. So “Mahomes” is the guys that win Super Bowls…you aren’t wrong, but a kid could tell me that. -Then you go on with this “authority” talk about how you played and coached and scouted…which means nothing really. Rhule did those things, and made it to the NFL and sucked ass. You can be involved in football and be terrible. So instead of telling us you are know poo, why not demonstrate it instead? If you were a scout…talk like a scout. If you know what the word “trait” means, then speak to what “traits” make a QB great. Stats and general “awareness” isn’t it man.
  3. Happens a lot. They even said they watched a lot of football, and ended referencing preseason, which is less than a game of his football life, in a shitty situation. Doubt they have much knowledge of his collegiate performance and tape. NFL starting traits are clearly present if you know what you are looking at.
  4. What’s funny is I basically want Darnold but more gooder.
  5. I’ll watch more near draft time, but when I watched 2-3 condensed games of him, I recall him being too immobile. I don’t care if the guy is a pocket passer or not, but I didn’t see the quick decisive twitch needed to make the first rusher miss. In a league full of smaller edge rushers built on speed, you need that quick first step to evade the free rusher. You don’t need to be Lamar, but Rodgers/Mahomes/Burrow type mobility is what I would desire in a QB.
  6. Bush is one of the biggest busts of all time, even with a relatively okay career. Dude was the “next Barry Sanders” and the Texans were ridiculed for drafting the better player #1. Bush was one of the most overhyped players in NFL draft history.
  7. I mean if he does that some team will pull a Panthers and throw him a Teddy 3 year deal lol.
  8. Nope. They are looking at the absolutely ridiculous situation of simultaneously being 4-8 AND a game out of leading the division. Our division is actually fighting for who is the worst, not best
  9. They can only play against who they play. Most of the league has a poor record. And we are 4-8. I’m not trying to convince anyone to be impressed.
  10. Good thing half the league is one of the worst teams in the league this year.
  11. We have a solid defense. A bengals type game is definitely on the table in the playoffs, but this defense has had some really solid performances, and our line is having fun in the run game. Football is weird. If we somehow pull making the playoffs out of our ass, I’ll enjoy the ride .
  12. Okay people keep focusing in 4-8. We are 3-4 under Wilks, and an Eddy XP from being 4-3 under Wilks. …with THIS QB ROOM AND MCADOO… The odds of us losing out…and the odds of motherfuging Sam Darnold leading us to the playoffs aren’t as different as you think. This could end up easily as the most bizarre season in team history.
  13. He didn’t really have an injury past. He twisted or sprained an ankle late in the season, and then again in the bowl game. But he was actually durable. Concerns were mainly due to his frame and the potential for injury if he continued to run and take hits at the pro level. He got in a fight with Wayne Gretsky’s kid in high school, so that’s what I was referring to, along with “he partied in college and drank beer.” Which was overblown.
  14. Like how Corral fell because he’s an alcoholic who beats up kids?
  15. Well, Sam legit finally has a good offensive line, and he has a strong run game to support him. Wilks has the team locked in. Unfortunately, McAdoo is what he is. He is bad, but he’s simply “bad” now, not “worst OC I’ve ever seen” bad like when Rhule was here. A lot of questions will be answered down the stretch to end the season. It’s sad, but this is easily the best position he has been in during his short career. Let’s see what he makes of it.
  16. So our team is too good to tank. Which is viewed as bad, but I lean the other way, especially since our best players are pre-prime young guys, and at premium positions. Just keep adding talent, replace McAdoo, and find a QB that excels at what you want to do. You don’t have to reach or trade up or any nonsense like that. HC, OC is still up in the air for next year, so we still don’t know the direction. If for some reason Wilks is retained, the current offensive philosophy is QB friendly (need more creativity in the passing game though). Strong power run game, play action heavy, strong defense. The best players in this draft ARE NOT quarterbacks, and I believe the evaluation process near draft time will show that.
  17. This has altered my view. I hated how long we waited to do all black and black helmets, since it felt like the whole league played out all black. It became boring. It made me less enthused when we did it, even though it looked cool. However…fug all the teams that ran all black for no reason. Panthers, Ravens, with an honorable mention to the Bengals. Those teams make sense. fug the rest.
  18. People put a lot of weight on his performance “without pressure” last year, indicating he was worse the longer he had to throw. But when your line sucks and you get hit a lot, you expect the pressure, even when it doesn’t get to you. He consistently had time to throw, and had a nice pocket to move in today. And by result, he looked the most calm and collected of any QB this year for us. I’m rooting for him to play well down the stretch, and to be put in a situation to show why he was highly regarded coming out of USC. It’s not likely, but it would be a nice story to get behind.
  19. They don’t care. They will have a job lol.
  20. Nah. I’m enjoyed every bit of shitting on the Broncos and Wilson. That poo was delicious. Hell, any one of us could be dead next year. Drink in the dubs when they come.
  21. I mean that would be a wise move. Wilks is doing admirably, but he’s still an interim. Rhule will get YEARS at Nebraska to turn the program around. Even if it’s college vs. pro, it’s job security.
  22. I hate people who say this so I’m gonna hate myself. Lets just relax and watch him play a few more games first.
