  1. I don’t want to hear anymore Shaq slander around here. People have been so pissed by the money he was making that they convinced themselves he was a JAG. He isn’t elite like Luke/TD/Beason etc but he’s a damn good linebacker, and he literally put his money where his mouth is and showed his dedication to this franchise.
  2. Great respond by Cam. He isn’t lying about the off-season thing. He didn’t have a fair shot with a full off-season since Rhule fuged him (which now seems ego driven). Covid off-season in NE. Then they go with Mac Jones next off-season. Then we call him up late in the season and throw him out there barely knowing any plays. I’m sure it’s over, but him not getting a full off-season is stunning to me.
  3. All I know is when Cam goes to Auburn, he can do whatever he wants lol. That place is owned by Bo and Cam and always will be. (Honorable mention to our boy Kevin Greene too)
  4. Nah. They are sold on a QB. They just have to pivot now that we are taking that QB at #1.
  5. When I watched him play, I was always impressed. He should take a bigger role with us. Fitt is getting our rookie some weapons.
  6. I’d cry. Then I’d get wasted. Then a week later I’d gaslight myself that Levis was the only true franchise QB in the draft.
  7. Yeah my gut says Stroud with Richardson as the dark horse. It just seems far fetched that Reich will want Young based on his QB’s historically.
  8. Great offensive minds can scheme guys open and elevate their players. Don’t necessarily need a T.O. out there. The off-season isn’t done yet too (obviously). I’m looking forward to what Reich/Brown cook up.
  9. Yeah logically it shouldn’t all hinge on this pick (you should just play the best guy regardless of pick) but what you said is reality. The top picks will get tons of chances to prove themselves…hell even for other teams (Baker, Darnold, Sam Bradford, etc).
  10. It’s crazy. Our last coach ruined the word “rule” for me. Just seeing it/hearing that word triggers that “mouth watering before throwing up” sensation.
  11. Yeah I don’t see that either. Sam was more “gunslinger” esque. His college tape was exciting but risky. Stroud to me is clearly the more polished pocket passer and more refined at this stage, and less ad lib than Sam. Don’t see that comp at all.
  12. I assume he’s expendable especially if Chinn moves closer to the line. Chinn can blitz, tackle, and cover. If we indeed do keep Chinn and move him closer to the LOS, he instantly becomes one of my most anticipated players to watch again.
  13. Yes. We didn’t see it a lot, but the Georgia game did show that handling the pressure could be there, and if he’s coachable it may be a non issue all together. And I see (so far, need to watch more tape) what you mean about the ball placement. How much does the receiver have to adjust to the ball when open? Trey Lance? Substantial adjustment. Stroud? So far from what I’ve seen, not much adjustment. Ultra important if you want YAC which we all do. I liked what I’ve seen so far.
  14. Big time agree. Even if I don’t believe a player will turn into anything special…gotta give them more time than a preseason game. It would only help the team if he develops into something. He can then be traded for other assets.
  15. Thanks for posting this. Now I’m one who agreed with Simms on Corral, and I will also value Simms take on Stroud… …but I don’t want anyone who talked poo on Simms for his Corral take doing a 180 and loving his Stroud take. Be consistent if possible people lol.
  16. Yeah I think Stroud has a good enough arm. And that isn’t an insult. Sure it isn’t a Favre arm, but Strouds arm is such that you don’t have to worry about arm strength limiting things. Once you have enough arm strength, I look more for touch and ball location. He has that too. I only have two concerns, which can only be answered in the pros. 1. He absolutely won’t have the same clean pocket consistently in the NFL. (One thing I loved with Corral was the way he would handle free rushers with his mobility) 2. He won’t have a surrounding talent advantage every game. That’s basically the “he went to Ohio St.” argument, but not how it’s normally used. But being an Ohio St. quarterback doesn’t mean he will suck, it just means that it’s easier for guys who aren’t NFL caliber to look better than they are. …I think Strouds ball placement makes him the exception to other OSU quarterbacks though, and I think he has a lot of potential.
  17. See that’s the thing. Young is a complete QB prospect with one glaring flaw….size. Should we pass up the best QB because he “might get hurt”? He also might not ever miss serious time. I guess my point is, the only consistent issue with him is size. He’s the best QB if he was bigger. It’s a pickle.
  18. If Fitt pulls that off and still gets his guy at 3, I don’t want to hear anymore slander. Big brain poo right there.
  19. We need to get some mental health hotlines pinned if this ends up being Levis.
  20. Young is the pick. Small or not, he’s the better player. I don’t think it’s a debate if he was 6’3”
  21. Bryce Young fugs everything up. He’s (imo) the most talented quarterback in the draft, but everyone knows his downside. The way he plays makes all the other QB’s look second fiddle, but will the size be too much of a concern… Well now we get to wait almost two months trying to figure who we will take. This makes the suspense worse lol.
  22. DJ and CMC not being panthers in 2023 is something I would have never expected.
  23. I appreciate the write up, but I’ve pretty much given up defending Corral’s preseason. There are people who won’t change their mind regardless of explanation and context. He just sucked. He should have elevated the guys around him. He was also playing against 4th stringers. That’s the mindset. College tape doesn’t matter. He’s too small (though Young isn’t I guess). I mean there are people who are borderline vicious when discussing him. For being a mere 3rd round pick, some are really threatened by his presence in the roster. We should draft a QB AND keep Corral, because all that matters is fixing the QB spot, so why eliminate a young option who you just drafted?
