  1. All reasonable things to be concerned about. I was more addressing the general vibe. At least from what I observed. I remember being optimistic and appreciated Tepper being aggressive and throwing the money around. I equally was concerned with the full control thing, but that, I’m sure, was a big factor in convincing him to come here. We know for sure now. I’m ready to move on to the next coaching chapter.
  2. Maybe you had reservations, but most people saying they “knew Rhule would fail” are revising history. He was one of the hottest HC names that year, and many were excited to have an owner who “was aggressive to get the guy he wanted.” People were by and large even more excited when Brady was hired too.
  3. In 2018, under Norv Turner, Cam was in route to another dominant season, and the offense was scoring over 27 points per game before the infamous Pittsburgh game when Cam got hurt and the season fell apart. They had something special going. I do agree that anything after that hasn’t been better than Shula though.
  4. Is there a Cam in this draft though? I don’t see it. It’s still early though. Top 2 QB’s from Bama and Ohio St., and those teams always outclass their opponent talent wise. Cam carried Auburn on his back.
  5. I’m expecting to lose by 21 so we will win by 4 with 2 defensive TD’s.
  6. That’s one thing I really loved about Corral in college. Excellent pump fake. Baker must utilize the pump, but he also needs to work better with his eyes, and navigate the pocket and slide his feet to open throwing lanes. He’s pressing and on tilt right now too. You can tell the batted balls are in his head.
  7. As time passes, the more I think Cam didn’t want us vs. they not wanting to bring him back. I trust him saying he didn’t want to come back for 5-12. It was a great ride, and I appreciate everything he did for this franchise. What a player to watch. I feel sorry for those who didn’t appreciate him during his time here. You know, the “runs don’t count; last time I checked, QB’s throw the ball” crowd.
  8. Having no QB is the fuging worst. Son of a bitch our offense is painful.
  9. Do you recall the conditions on that? Was it purely based on a number of games started?
  10. Literally me for 3 hours on Sunday. (Your profile pic kills me every time)
  11. Purely to eliminate the “well he never had a decent line” argument. The line is so much better than last year. I know he’s still trash WITH time. But I’m curious how he looks with consistently more time if that makes sense. Maybe it eliminates ghosts. Worst case scenario he turns the ball over more than Baker. Actually worst case he plays well and saves Rhule. Nevermind have a great day nothing happened here.
  12. I don’t think defensive or offensive minded HC matters if they bring in someone competent to lead the other side of the ball. Both types of HC’s work. You just need balance. Ultimately you need a HC with vision, organization, leadership, and enough respect and knowledge to surround themselves with quality coaches.
  13. If they insist on targeting TE’s, give Ricci more looks. He catches the ball and moves well after the catch. Get the ball to guys who don’t hurt the team.
  14. I think they are both underrated and overrated . People hanging on to “2nd ranked in nfl” are fooling themselves. People thinking they are poo are fooling themselves. I think the unit plays solid football and is plenty good enough to win games. We also have youth at critical positions, so the future looks bright too. I think if our offense was anywhere close to plain boring average, we would have a clearer picture on whether or not the D was legit or sucked. However…they get worse each year. The time of possession is just so embarrassing right now. Flat embarrassing. Shameful. Difficult to evaluate a defense. Lol I bet we have the #1 defense in cardio performance.
  15. Might be right. They are just on the field so damn much. I like the fire and effort though. They are fun to watch, aside from the general anxiety of being on defense and potentially giving up points.
  16. For me I think it’s the small number of games, and they are once a week. I find it much easier to give up on the hornets. 82 games becomes unbearable.
  17. This team is watchable with a complete reframe of what football is. 1. Offense doesn’t exist. It’s basically a commercial. Go get that beer. Make some nachos. Crank one out. Do whatever you like! 2. Final score? Bollocks, what is that? Irrelevant. That’s for everyone else. You’re an individual; a pioneer. You don’t need something everyone else wants, you hipster you. 3. Ah…the defense steps onto the field. Look at how fast they are. What are they doing out there? Try…try…trying? Making an attempt? Giving effort? Now that’s something I can watch to distract me from daydreaming about prime Cam and Luke every 15 seconds. Sack: 2 points TFL: 2 points Turnover: 5 points TD: 7 points If they end with more points than the offense they play against, I call my mother and tell her I love her. I don’t purposely drive slower if someone is tailgating me, and I don’t argue the opposite side of the abortion debate to intentionally piss off whoever I’m talking to at the next party I attend, whatever their view is. I’m slightly unhinged, and yet, I find peace in this chaos. Once a scary place, It’s becoming like a warm fluffy blanket that keeps my toesies toasty. KeEp PoUnDiNg fellow gluttons for punishment.
