I know it’s a general term, but reading/hearing “processing” is wearing thin. I’ve never heard it used this much for any other player. At the end of the day, this is football; not rocket biology.

What record gets Reich fired?
Wundrbread33 replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think if Wilks was retained, with the way we finished the year, that anything below .500 would have been a disappointment. So it’s interesting (and this may be people defending Bryce, or just revising expectations) that after two weeks, we are talking 4 wins/6 wins etc keeps Reich around, when this staff was supposed to be an UPGRADE, and Bryce, albeit a rookie, was supposed to be an UPGRADE from what we had at the position last season. So maybe the Falcons and Saints are both playoff teams and we don’t know it yet; maybe we start beating bad teams like Wilks did, and we realize this as the year develops… But if, in the end, WE are one of the bad teams, instead of a team that beats bad teams but loses to good ones… I’m fine letting this staff go bye bye after this season. -
Panthers expect Bryce Young to miss 1-2 games (Athletic)

I don’t think trading for Darnold was bad either; it’s giving a talented guy another shot under the belief he got a raw deal in NY. It was a gamble, and I don’t mind taking a chance But based on what he had done in the league, we paid too much, and that was apparent from the jump. And it was more than a 2nd rounder. Wasn’t it a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th? Something like that. -
Not really. It’s still early maybe? But I’m damn near at the end of my patience. It was fun (because Rhule ruined football beforehand) to watch our team compete down the stretch to possibly win a shite division. I enjoyed that. As a fan who doesn’t get to pick the players we draft, ultimately I like watching the team get a W every time it happens. So I just try to enjoy the ride. Now if we pulled a Texans and lost the first pick by winning the final game…I’d be upset lol.

So I liked what Wilks did last year, and he gave the team a spark, and made football fun to watch again. And he was far from perfect, but simply an imperfect upgrade from Rhule. It was more of the old school pound the rock and play defense style, but that matched with our lack of talent at QB. Made sense. But I understood moving on, especially to a more offensively minded staff, and once Evero was hired, I was happy that we didn’t neglect the only positive (yet imperfect) thing about our team: defense. And that side of the ball remains good enough to win football games. I am just absolutely stunned by this offense right now. I didn’t expect greatness, but competence. The coaching staff has been praised like crazy, so I expected more. But through two weeks, I am not seeing scheme adapted to players, but, ONCE AGAIN, players seem forced to do things they aren’t great at. Sanders is being run up the guy like CMC was, on obvious run downs. WR screen are being run for Theilen, instead of far more YAC able players. There is no motion or misdirection, or rather very little of it. Laviska does special things with the ball…manufacture touches for him in space. I see other teams do this all the time. Stretch Sanders outside so he can use his footspeed. We paid for a TE. Get him the ball. I am just stunned, but it’s not like I watch Colts games the last few years, so maybe that’s on me.

A Video a lot of us need to Watch

For Bryce. Not the Panthers. But to be fair I don’t know this guy, but I’m seeing a lot of apologizing for Bryce in the media right now, and I guess I should just avoid reading it, because it’s annoying the poo out of me lol. I know it’s early and it’s a 17 game season, but just let it play out. There are a lot of people running to Young’s defense, but save that poo. An off-season of “I’m blessed” and “processing” has me saying; enough metrics, enough hype, enough is enough. Just do something. I don’t need anymore talk about how great this kid is. Show us. -

I’m sorry but this stuff comes off as damage control. We don’t have the 49ers roster, but we, once again have a defense with no offense. Bryce gave away the game week 1, and Reich made McAdoo look like Bill Walsh week 2. We lack depth, but we don’t lack talent. Something ain’t right, and I expect this “all star staff” to figure out how to use players to their strengths… -
Chinn is literally smaller faster Luvu. He’s a linebacker. He’s explosive. He’s a heavy hitting guy. He can blitz, he is strong enough to hold the edge from time to time even if he’s lighter. A back or TE tasked at blocking him is a tall order. He plays bigger than his size, although he isn’t even small. The anti-YGM.

Clueless tweet.

A #1 overall pick QB should be able to validate that selection without elite players around him. Reminds me of the danger of Young/Stroud all along. How much of their success was due to having a talent advantage each week? Hard to tell until they get to this level, and the field is more level, and all the players on the field are elite compared to college. It’s sooooo early, but being physically limited, there’s little hope if he can’t “process” as advertised. I’m concerned right now, but I’m not worried.

Per Matt Miller.. Panthers all in on Richardson?
Wundrbread33 replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
Can confirm he liked AR. He had him pegged as the pick if we stayed at 9. At least at one point in time. -

Just for the record, you’ve said words like “honest” and “truth” regarding Corral, but outside of clearing waivers, you have stated assumptions, not truth. No one knows what is going on with Corral. So assuming he is drinking, or that his career is over, although possible, isn’t “truth.”

Let’s not downplay a great slice of pizza though.

The Hornets have sucked to the point where I can barely watch 10-15 games a season before checking out. I never thought that would happen with the Panthers. I’ve watched every game unless it wasn’t broadcasted since 95’. But if we have another losing season AND Bryce doesn’t show flashes of greatness… I might have to take a break.

Double Nailed it.

Give me a reason to be excited about the future of this team
Wundrbread33 replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
I mean…I know this is making fun of the team, but you actually nailed the exact attitude someone should logically have. It’s not like we can do anything to change what the team and front office will do. People want the team with with blue and black jerseys to be like the up and coming Dolphins. Well you can’t make that happen, so maybe be a Dolphins fan? Either that, or find things about the Panthers that you can enjoy. Or be miserable all the time. Enjoy (Not directed at you, just generally) -
Nope. They traded up for him, signed Dalton to mentor, and cut last years 3rd round pick before ever seeing Young throw an NFL pass. Theres not plan B. No fall back. All hope is on Bryce figuring it out now. And we need to see if he figures poo out this season. No more delaying things.

Just a really fun group to watch. Gruiger-Hill stepped up. Luvu is the man. Woods/Bell is looking like a nice combo. And we consistently made Carr’s day miserable with the pass rush. Hell even Henderson was a play away from having an acceptable performance. Just the group as a whole played with such passion, laid it on the line, and they made this a game. Offense…get your poo together. Just do something. Be slightly below average instead of historically bad so we can know what winning games feels like.

He’s blessed though. Oh and busy processing.
