This dude is currently not a fighter. Not a dawg. Not a leader. He’s a rookie, but you expect to see some of the above in your QB. He’s far more Teddy than Cam. A QB throwing the ball away on 4th down can lick my ass.

Albert Breer on Reich, Tepper, Fitterer and Ben Johnson

Albert Breer on Reich, Tepper, Fitterer and Ben Johnson
Wundrbread33 replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
This judging the owner stuff gets tiring. I’d like to pretend I know I wouldn’t “meddle” in Teppers shoes, but I don’t know that at all. I’d wager most of us, if we owned a professional sports franchise, would find it hard to not be involved. -
Let's play "I could be a better GM than Scott Fitterer"

Not drafting or trading for “project” players when the philosophy in the building isn’t to develop projects. So many clear projects only last a year here. Don’t pretend a project player can learn everything in one training camp and turn into a “win now” guy. We are overly patient with guys like Ian Thomas, and show no patience with the Brandon Smiths and Corral’s. Watch DJ Johnson get cut next off-season. -
I keep thinking of this place shitting on Fitt for the CJ Henderson and a 5th for Arnold and a 3rd trade. That was a year removed from CJ being a top 10 pick. Now a lot of people are okay trading for Williams based on his draft status, while showing far less than CJ had in the NFL. I would love to take a flyer on Williams, but the inconsistency is pretty funny.

Sooooooooooooooooo many coaches do not scheme to their players, and instead force players into their scheme. We think coaches get to where they are by merit, but, much like corporate America, it appears that “who do you know” is really the qualification. True creativity in coaching is a rare thing indeed.

Panthers going after Christian Watson
Wundrbread33 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I thought those were titles were good fun. Who would complain about that? Similarly I remember going to Costco, and the people checking receipts would always draw a cartoon on the back if the family had little kids. Then one day, they didn’t. Management made them stop because of a complaint. -
But Christian McCaffrey’s are not a dime a dozen. That’s been my only issue with the “dime a dozen” line.

And it seems like multiple coordinators enjoy throwing screens to Thomas. This is a recurring wasted play, but it transcends coaching staffs. Thomas must be a hell of a practice player. Maybe our defense is the only one that doesn’t immediately sniff that play out, so it looks effective in practice?

I question the arm talent. It may still be good enough, but I’m concerned. And worried.

Observer: Is it time for Panthers to go to Andy Dalton?
Wundrbread33 replied to Dorian Gray's topic in Carolina Panthers
The flip side is this team needs the 33rd pick more than the 38th pick. The trade is laughable either way. Pain. -
Yup. Much better spacial awareness, vision, balance, physicality. Hell…better ball security.

Guess the score: Panthers at Dolphins

Panthers: 17 (14 in garbage time) Miami: All the points -
Rhule made it impossible to evaluate players. Unfortunately Reich’s shitty scheme makes it impossible again. I bet TMJ is wide open if Ben Johnson is calling plays.

Yup. I fell hard for the “elite staff” propaganda, and that made me get behind Bryce in the same “these guys know what they are doing” way. Big oof.
-
The way I feel now, is the way a team would have felt if they believed Kiper and drafted Clausen number 1. Youngs “elite processing” should have hyped him into 2nd round, tops. Just like it did for Brees, which was his athletically superior comp. I can’t believe all these professionals fell for this con job.
-
So you’re saying the guy who got drafted solely for his intangibles…doesn’t actually have those intangibles? Oof

We aren’t talented offensively, but that’s not the issue.
Wundrbread33 replied to Wundrbread33's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think it’s realistic to expect more than a .000 winning percentage. Rookie QB or not. -
What's Burns worth at this point?
Wundrbread33 replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO TRADE BURNS. Keep him. Tag him. Let the next GM determine whether to resign him or trade him. I don’t trust Fitt to get proper compensation. I also don’t trust him with any picks. He should be barred from trading anyone. And if you have to bar him, go ahead and fire him. -
Maybe it’s copium, but there are some seriously low expectations regarding acceptable physical talent for a number 1 pick. Too many college football fans maybe? He needed to be picked MAX where Brees was. 2nd round. Criminally limited for a 1st round QB.

Remember how everyone made fun of how weak Tua’s arm was/is? Its better than Bryce’s.
