No doubt. But I genuinely believe our defense will win us *multiple* games in spite of our offense. I’m very bullish on our D this year especially after about week 4 after Horn gets some game experience and our new pieces gel. If we’re healthy we’re a problem.

I really do feel like our defense is going to be a problem for opposing teams regardless of how Darnold/the offense does. I’m absolutely cool with our trademark being an aggressive fast and attacking defense. Opposing offenses will know and feel when they play the Panthers this year.

Super random but I met Earl Thomas in 2019! My sister got married in Towson and he somehow knew some one invited to the wedding and came with them…while he’s not the worst person in the world I absolutely see why an NFL team wouldn’t want him around. Any stories told by others tended to eventually become centered around Earl and he hit on multiple peoples dates (including wives) to the wedding. While most people were excited to meet him initially….eventually the large majority wish he hadn’t ever come. I imagine that’s how most NFL teams view him at this point.

Not here to bash Teddy just here to say I trust Luke’s perception of Rhule’s game management waaaay...waaaaaaaay more than Teddy’s so that’s all I needed to hear/read.

I might be in the minority here but if we can get Ryan Poles I want him. He’s been apart of Mahomes and the Chiefs ascension he’s young and I think it’s a benefit to have an entirely different perspective on things since he’s never worked with any one in the Panthers FO to my knowledge.

I’m a UNC fan so I’m definitely not a supporter of South Carolina football but the few times I’d randomly catch a little bit of a South Carolina game Shi Smith ALWAYS came up with some kind of ridiculous catch. In the perfect world Marshall replaces Robby and Smith replaces David Moore next year and we roll with the big 3 of DJ Marshall and Smith.

Steve McNair was one of my favorite players of all time I’m a *little* younger so I don’t remember us passing over him smh. The first draft I kinda remember is the Julius Peppers draft and that’s mainly because my brother and him were friends/I’ve always been a big UNC fan.

Ehh you can split hairs about every player that way. Behind every player on that list I’m sure there was another player we could have drafted that was better than they were. He was a good rb for us and it was a good pick imo.

We have a new coach and GM. If this were Marty I could see it but we were clamoring for a new gm for the longest time we’ve finally got one from a successful organization now some are calling it a bust after ONE round??? I’m at least willing to see how most of the draft plays out before I automatically write Fitt off but if you wanna only look at the negatives it’s your prerogative.

I get that. I was at the Denver game in person with a mask on going out sad and have been disappointed like the rest of us over the years. But it’s Fitt and Rhules first draft together. Every one wanted Hurney up out of here ASAP we at least need to give the new guy a chance before we just assume he’s going to be an abject failure like Marty so often was. I’m personally willing to wait before I make any declarations of this guy is trash or that guy is trash but to each their own. I hope we have a great day 2 in the draft!

Im with you and as much as people worry I think one of Teppers biggest strengths are knowing what he doesn’t know and letting the people he pays (handsomely at that) do their jobs. I think he respects Fitt and Rhule enough to trust their judgement on the draft and just lets them run it. I’m sure he’s going to offer heavy input but I think ultimately he’s going to allow Rhule/Fitt to make the pick.

I too want a LT (Sewell all day everyday) but it’s also no guarantee he’s going to be good either. If the team sees a QB fall that they believe can be THE guy you kinda have to do it. I’m not advocating for drafting a quarterback just because he’s a quarterback if you have others higher on your draft board but I think it’s absolutely fair for some on the board to be in favor of drafting a QB at 8. Once again I want Sewell or a premier LT just like you but if you believe a Fields or a Lance is the guy and they drop you make that pick imho.

The New York post is a garbage “news” outlet take anything that sensationalized rag says with a grain of salt the size of Charlotte.
