This is one future hire that MUST be correct. It wouldn't take someone but a couple of years to start screwing up what D.G. has started to do with this organization. Things in this league can head south fast without the proper leadership.

I don't think charges have to be filed for the NFL to take action. If there is a video showing him punching people and hitting a woman with a belt, then clearly it was an action that the NFL has made clear they will not tolerate.

Per article in N.O Times-Picauyne, there is a video from 2013 at Spring Break in South Beach showing him in various fist fights and striking people with a belt including a woman. Cell phones are everywhere with clear video capabilities. The NFL is now aware of this video. Looks like he is in further trouble besides the other crap he was involved in. Some guys are just a problem.. That is all the article says besides stuff we already know about his past problems.

I would much prefer a football guy with a strong scouting resume then a money guy. Keep Beane as the top money guy and find someone in the Getts mold to handle the draft/FA etc.

Brandon Beane has been promoted to assistant GM. He was the interm GM before 'The Godfather'. D.G is no spring chIcken and his weight may be a problem in the years to come. Really wouldn't like another non football guy running the show. Big part of Getts ability is his football savy and finding talent. Think it would be a big mistake to go that route again and rely on a front office guy to take the helm. They should have learned from the Hurney mistake that this doesn't work.....opinions?

If Ward is as good a lead blocker as some claim and can pick up the blitz, then he is a no brainer. When your oline is still a question mark, a tank in the backfield can make all the difference.

He would have to be 110% cleared with no possibility of any involvement in that murder at all. Just the fact that they had to put him as a return man is an indictment on the whole unit. How they could not see how inept the whole situation was is pitiful. I can honestly say that was the worst special teams unit I can recall watching on any professional football team.

D.G loading up competition at all possible positions including LB. Let them all fight it out for the backup spots.
