According to Nola.com, the Saints will be totally out of the pit before this season. Explain this shell game they play. They go from 100 mil. in the hole to even up in a few months. We can't sign any body of note except JAG's and are always behind the eight ball. Whats the magic they do?

Just another year in Panther FA land.....nothing happening of much significance.
-
Patriots just signed Hunter Henry and 2 quality WR's for Cam to work with. Frustrating that we always seem to look at players with injury concerns or 2nd/3rd tier players. Year after year they are always cap strapped. Now that Hurney is gone, hoping that the new regime will get it sorted out. Have to improve the roster with quality players instead of plug and play JAG's. Spend the money right instead of bloated contracts that they end up losing $$ on.

Bargain shopping in FA on the horizon per Gantt

What's new....it seems every season we are cap strapped and have to pick through whats left of JAG's to fill holes. -
They have to get somebody before the season. Teddy is done here and he knows it. He wants out after this off season turmoil. Can't be playing him if he doesn't gave a sh&t anymore.

This team can't afford the high price for one player. Crazy talk. Get a rookie and move on.

Panthers land Trey Lance and 12 picks in the 2021 draft per this mock.

Never mortgage the farm for one prize bull -
Deja vu...all over again.

Don't give a shat what anyone says....selling the farm for any one player is just crazy. A reasonable deal is fine, not a anything you want deal.

Nine points and zero touch downs. Bowles had a master game plan with the players to pull it off. Brady was going to get his props regardless, but that defense was the show. The foundation has been laid on how to control the KC killer offense, but not many teams have the defense to pull it off like Tampa did.

The whole team shat the bed.

They are sort of stuck in quicksand right now. Options are few and far between. They are not getting D.W. The rest of the FA batch is meh at best.
-
You cant throw a rookie into the fire with the OL we have now. David Carr in the making if they did that.
-
Face the fact that this is becoming the way it will turn out. Only option now is to MOVE UP and TRY and grab a QB before the rest. In the last month the tables have turned and between retirements and circumstances, they are now at a premium. Doubtful that they will get whom they actually wanted. Whom ever it is, will surely not be ready for prime time on day one. Another season of T.B upcoming untill the rookie is ready....if ever.

Have the stuff on Twitter is bullsh%t.....so who the hell knows. Hopefully they aren't this stupid to believe he is the guy.
-
Sorry...didn't see that.
-
Just jumping around Twitter and a rumor has it that the Falcons and Panthers are interested in him as a FA. Anyone else heard this? Would be a real bad choice if true.
-
Do you take the risk or hope for the best?
-
Let's say all the others are gone by 8 and no trade up scenarios happen. Would you take Lance or make the Vet QB trade? Would you give up a 2nd or 3rd for him? Best option if it all goes sideways and the best are gone would be whom? Is Lance a pro QB or a last option for a QB needy team?
-
He isn't worth our 8th pick. This team is still a couple seasons away from being very good....he will be on a downward trend by then. We would still be looking for a QB, without the luxury of a top ten pick.

Unless they build the offensive line then we will see a repeat of the early Cam Newton debacle. Sure D.W may have better tools, but he is an athletic QB who can run with a rocket arm....just like Cam was. The oline was always swiss cheese during his prime years. Got his ass beat and he was never able to fulfill his potential.

How many times will a young team on the upswing have a top ten pick. Every year you get better and fall farther down in the draft. Need a QB? Very talented group this year and we should get a good one out of the bunch. Even if we trade down, we won't have to sell the farm to do it. Sure D W is very good. Unless we trade CMC, possibly another good young player, and draft picks it isn't going to happen. Not sure it's worth it in the long run..... What you got?
-
Get a QB in the damn draft and built a decent oline. Wanting to let CMC go and lose a bunch of high draft picks for one guy is nuts. Every player is one hit from being done. To give up the farm isn't a wise move.

A head case in Tampa and immature no doubt. He has a strong arm and talent, but is he disciplined enough and can be groomed to excel? It would suck for us if they turn him around to be a quality QB. NFC South needs a break from S P and the Saints for a while.
