Nobody knows what these guys will turn out to be.....a Ryan Leaf or a Tom Brady. Just a roll of the dice.
-
With all the QB's flying off the list today. I'm fairly confident that he is the guy they want. If Fitts, Mcadoo, and Morgan think he is the guy, then fine. I don't really care what Rhules evaluation is. Looks like unless they are throwing a curve ball and trading back or plan to keep Darnold as a starter this year (which I doubt, maybe on a REAL short leash), you guys will be getting your guy.
-
Who knows with Rhule. He may be loving on Pickett right now. So the Falcons are probably out of the QB draft this year. Saints still eyeing Willis if u you read the tea leaves (back up Winston and sit for a year or two). Leaves J.G.(dont want). That leaves Baker...or draft picks. Vet options getting mighty thin.

Look at those clean trimmed fingernails and soft looking hands.....he is our guy!
-
Mediocre QB with a shoulder surgery.....sounds great
-
Been saying this for two seasons now. Some laughed and scoffed at the idea. It is way past time they make the change if they want to keep him and have him actually play and produce.

Falcons burned a bridge. Are trying to trade Matty Water.

Don't worry...when he gets planted in the turf a few times, he will rethink it as he is sitting in the blue tent -
Give me Minshew, pick the best LT at #6, and one more vet LT in FA (not a JAG), and they have basically rebuild the team in one offseason.... Good job
-
I will always remember that Dallas game when he took over the field....
-
Tell Drew Brees that....u really have no clue do u?
-
Stupid argument....but nice try. Tell that to Brady.
-
Still with Darnold then.....good luck
-
That's just it...he is better then what an unknown commodity in a subpar class of rookie QB's would bring you. They could all suck and be out of the game in two year's. He has shown that he can be successful in this league.
-
Don't know....that is what the FO is paid to figure out. A third might actually get it done.
-
Make and offer with a 3rd next year and a JAG or two at most....see if they bite.
-
Minshew may play well enough to earn and keep the job if given a chance. He is only 25 with no major injuries in his career.
-
Everyone is talking two rookie QB's and the Jimmy G. types on the market, think you all are making a mistake. This guy can play. He played for a TERRI LE Jacksonville team and still put up very good numbers. He is only 25 and has alot of guts and determination. He is worth a later round to mid round pick next year if we can get the trade with the Eagles done. Watch some of his tape on Youtube and see for yourself. Our new O.C loves the guy when he coached him in Jacksonville. Panthers where interested and probably still are. The rookies can go either way (good or suck)..this guy has started in this league and played well with no major injuries. No lose scenerio.

Makes me think they are dead set on a QB at 6 then. If this happens, a one year deal to solidify the line for a rookie and move on next year. That's what may be the thinking here.
-
Per David Newton. All pro LT from Seahawks. Like or no like???
-
None of these moves matter without our franchise QB
Jmac replied to Kraybrothers's topic in Carolina Panthers
Don't need a franchise QB to compete. Jake wasn't considered a top QB and he got the job done. Need a solid team with a *competent coaching staff to do the job...add a smart QB with some skills and it can take them far. *competent coaching staff needs to be next after the QB . -
If they can find a decent QB and keep Rhule locked in the closet, I think they have a shot. Brady I think will sh%t the bed this year and father time will catch up with him or an injury (even a relatively minor one would end it for him). The Falcons will suck just as bad as last year and last place for them. The Saints still have a good team and will compete again. 1st..Saints 2nd...Panthers ( if they can find a decent QB.) 3rd...Buc's 4th...the birds What u got?
-
There will come a time very soon when he starts losing his abilities. Father time isn't kind and he comes on fast. I know he had a good year last season, but it can't go on forever. He is one injury away from it being over. I don't see him making it the entire season being in his forties. He is the GOAT and deserves the title. But reflexes get slower and injuries just don't heal well. Don't think he will have a stellar return and this will be is last hurrah. Not worried about playing an early forties Brady coming out of retirement.

We are not going to suck next season with a decent QB. Is that Cam....who knows. Don't count on a top five or maybe even a top 10 pick.
