REPORT: Panthers will not trade Chuba Hubbard
Navy_football replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Agreed! They need to take the calls away from him. You can tell he's overthinking now instead of just playing football like he did in preseason. See ball, tackle ball. -
Bryce Young will start Sunday vs Broncos

Wait... I thought the kids were with them! What the hell is going on around here?! -
What would a successful game for Young look like?
Navy_football replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
Taking deep shots on blitzes and man coverage. Trust the oline to protect and trust his WRs to make plays. Just give them a chance. Oh and put some air under those deep shots - GEEZ. -
Dan Graziano: Panthers will trade Diontae Johnson
Navy_football replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think Frederick itself isn't great, but it's a good location to access everything else. An hour from Harper's Ferry, the Shenandoah, Baltimore, Towson, Tyson's Corner, DC. And you can always drive 20-30 minutes to Rockville or Bethesda. Of course I'm partial to Annapolis too, but that's a bit of a hike from Frederick. The biggest gut punch is traffic. 66 is better after the COVID construction, but 495 and 270 are still hell on earth. -
No, we don't need to see Bryce Young again
Navy_football replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
Trade him or play him at this point. That's where the team is. There is no value added in playing Dalton at this point. You're just hoping that he finds that magic from week 3 again. It probably won't happen. Maybe he looks good 2 more times this season, but how does that help you? It doesn't. At all. Best case, you lose the #1 pick. If Bryce Young played any other position, he'd be playing under this situation. Why play a 37 years old sucky player, when you have a 23 years old sucky player that makes more money? There is no upside with the old guy. ZERO. -
Bro?!!!!

The Carolina Panthers should go back to Bryce Young
Navy_football replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hey I'm not trying to defend Bryce Young. He's shown that he's broken. But... we're kinda seeing the same from Andy Dalton. Sure he's a little more likely to at least attempt a deep pass. That's the added value right now. If they have a plan for next season that involves trading Bryce Young and bringing in another QB, then I guess they could just keep him on the bench. Or maybe try to increase his value somewhat. My thought is he'll at least be on the roster as a backup next season. But Dalton probably won't. -

If they can get rid of Bryce without hamstringing the cap, then I'm all for it. But there's some uncertainty there. Andy ain't coming back as a starter, for backup money. He'll want more. He should want more. Just ride Bryce to the #1 pick, and go from there. -

Right. They can't trade him. And there's a better chance he'll be on the roster next year than Dalton, who would likely want more money as a starter rather than a backup. Come on man. They brought Bryce in for one drive while down 40-7. They really shouldn't have even passed the ball. 3 runs and a punt. I'm sure that's how Bryce approached those garbage backup minutes. Even though it really is similar to his normal. Again, not about Bryce becoming the guy. It's about prepping for 2025. 2024 is done. -

I'm glad you noticed the avatar. And yes. My takes do align. Andy sucks right now. Bryce sucks right now. Andy is gone after this season - and he's about to be 37 years old. Bryce is on contract for another 2 seasons. Why play the old suck that won't be back next year instead of the young suck that will? Doesn't make sense. Take the emotion of Bryce hate out of your thought process and it's unfortunately the lesser of two very bad evils. -
The Carolina Panthers should go back to Bryce Young
Navy_football replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
Sir, remove the emotion. Andy completed 11 passes for 93 yards against the Commanders. That's less than 8.5 yards per completion, not attempt, per completion. 10 yards from Bryce would be an improvement. And the locker room is in shambles right now anyway. I don't think Bryce will make it worse. Sure, he sucks but so does the team. -

If you take the emotion out of it, the right thing to do is to play Bryce now. Andy isn't an upgrade anymore. He had one great game, and then slowly deteriorated into Bryce level play. If he's playing Bryce level, then just play Bryce. This ain't even about Bryce becoming the guy. Maybe he will, most likely he won't. But we KNOW Andy ain't it either, so just play the young guy. The rest of 2024 needs to be prep for 2025. Trade anyone that ain't coming back. Play as many young guys as possible. Brooks needs to play when he's ready too. Blow it up and start the rebuild in earnest this time. Oh and Canales needs to give up the playcalling and focus on being HC. Evero needs someone in his ear to get him to think outside the box. Sure he doesn't have much to work with, but you can't keep doing the same thing hoping someone will do something they rarely ever do. -
This isn't on Canales' playcalling. Maybe more on personnel. That screen that he called to XL where Ian Thomas missed the block was a perfect call. If Dalton completes that pass to XL, it would have gone for a big gain. Maybe even a TD. Execution. Plays are there to be made.
-
Yeah, he's done that a few times. You notice no one ever tries to fight him back. Ever.
-
I think that game started at 4:30ish. But Carolina was done by the end anyway, so...
-
Why is that dude just so scared to let it rip? Who cares? Just play ball at this point.
-
Just come out bombing. Fug the playcall. Go deep.
-
I'm actually starting to dislike Evero. Come on bro!
-
Bro it's hard to cover a guy that good for 5+ seconds.
-
this is so bad

thank you again

Thank you

Run the damn ball!!!

Does anyone think Ian would have made that catch?
-
Can we just get Ian Thomas off of the field please?! For the love of all that's good! Just get him off the field!
