  1. Right? And when/where is he supposed to correct it? Practice. Right?
  2. Yeah. I agree with this sentiment. Practice is not where you play conservatively. It's where you test yourself and your team mates. Can I fit that pass in? Who's gonna make a play for me when I'm in trouble? For WRs and RBs - try a new move, try a one handed catch. That's what practice is for - and you get better and build confidence. Now, if you start doing it in games and it ain't working...
  3. He probably passed out in the endzone. I love that stuff! That's the fun parts of practice!
  4. Love it! Bryce testing his limits - in practice rather than games. Defense making his butt pay for mistakes, and actually catching INTs. This is how a real practice should go. Everyone is getting better.
  5. I wonder how far he ran!? I bet he was GASSED!
  6. Chris "the Hitman" Harris was a menace in Chicago too. That dude was feared by many. Knock your head right off.
  7. This is the Canales effect. Hopefully there is a positive impact. But seems the team is buying in to him.
  8. I need to see the big man juking! DTs be doing the most when they get turnovers!!
  9. Heck I'd see your 4 firsts and throw in a couple of second rounders. But yeah. They ain't trading him for anything.
  10. The thing is, no player is worth 2 first rounders and a second/third. Except a QB like Mahomes. So just Mahomes. Since there isn't another QB like him.
  11. A year after they traded their #1 WR to trade up to draft said QB.
  12. Oh definitely. He led more with his play than anything else early on though. Plus Cam is an anomaly. No QB ever played the position like him. That dude just loved playing football. He would be smiling while stiff arming a friggin linebacker while dragging a free safety down the field. Then superman pose after running over a defensive lineman for a TD. No QB is comparable to Cam's fun loving competitive nature. They broke the mold with him.
  13. Bro?! Cam wasn't chewing anybody out his rookie season. And he had the best rookie QB season in history at the time. Bryce would look like a fake/fool trying to crap on vets as an underperforming rookie. Now this season, there should be some development in that area. If he's around next year, he should be one of the unquestioned leaders of the locker room.
  14. Yall tripping trying to justify yourselves right now. Bryce Young didn't even play. He wasn't even suited up for the game. It makes no sense to even mention his name in this thread, let alone hijack the discussion. Didn't mention DJ or Theilen. Tommy Tremble or Moton aren’t being mentioned either. Why Bryce Young? Nobody is trying to defend him. I'm just tired of some of y'all killing threads so you can get your daily Bryce Bash in. If he sucks this season, everyone here will want him out just as much as you. If it's the topic then go at him. But you don't always have to find a reason to let everyone know how bad you think Bryce is. Jeez.
  15. No I want to find out what's going on around the league as it relates to the carolina panthers. I don't want to have every thread turn into Bryce sucks, let me count the ways. It's annoying as fug and I'm really not a Bryce Young fan.
  16. It really is annoying. I guess that's why they keep doing it. Attention is a hell of a drug.
  17. Prayers up Mr. Scot! We miss you around here.
  18. Maybe not rising seniors in HS... they're playing against grown men! They would get dominated in the trenches. But I do agree that a team of the best undrafted college players could pull it off. Or maybe the UFL all star squad.
  19. I think the improvements at both offensive guard positions would have made a huge difference last season. Throw in a receiver (DJ) that can create separation, another that can run after the catch (XL maybe), plus a pass catching TE (Sanders) and the offense should be better - even if no one else improves from last season. I think this defense is better without Burns honestly. The run defense should be solid without him and YGM consistently not setting the edges. Pass rush is definitely a concern, but honestly it was last season too. Secondary is a push unless Jaycee is healthy. If he plays, they're better too.
  20. The idea is that improvements in pass protection will occur between now and week 1. Oline takes time to gel. That's pretty standard. There are 3 new starters in the middle. They will likely improve as a unit in another 3 weeks.
  21. And he shouldn’t unless there is a vast improvement in pass pro. Makes no sense to further shell shock your starting QB that already got the ish kicked out of him his rookie year.
  22. Didn't think they should have traded up for a QB. Too many quesion marks at Oline and receiver. Trading DJ made it even worse. After trading up, Richardson was the only one that made sense to me. Figured he could just make enough plays with his legs to win games. Say what you want, but the Huddle would have been dogging Stroud if he would have come here too. Just for different reasons.
