Can't miss these throws with clean pockets. Let's see Eason. -

PJ isn't normally this inaccurate. His issues normally revolve around decision making and throwing into double coverage. This is something different. -

Seemed to have more confidence in Eason throwing downfield as soon as he came in the game 2 weeks ago. -

should have been a pick 6. guess that's why you play defense Taylor. -

Conservative defense minded coach? or has he already lost confidence in his QB? If you don't trust PJ to throw the ball downfield, then next guy up. -
Was just at the new stadium in Vegas Sunday. If they can grow Bermuda 419 in the desert, then no one has an excuse.

We pretty much have to take a RB on day 2 in the draft, right?

Forman can be the bruiser. I want a scatback that can break you down and go the distance. Blake Corum, Michigan. He'll fall because of his size. Probably get him late third or fourth. -
Just gave young Shanny the Leatherman of multi tools! The most versatile weapon in the league to a coach/play caller that strives on thinking outside the box and creating mismatches. Gonna miss CMC, but this will become must-watch TV by next week. Epic.

Smitty had some good years with Cam. I think a young, prime version of both, actually makes both better. Old Smith was the closest Cam ever had to a true #1. And let's face it. I loved the Ragin Cajun, but he was better in our memories than in reality. 2015 Cam was very very good as a passer. Had one of the strongest arms in the league. I think Steve would have preferred that over all the jump balls from Jake.
-
If you're talking about 20-something years old Steve Smith, then that 2015 team doesn't lose a game. You had to double or triple team Smith or he'd beat you himself. You have to keep a safety over the top of Ginn. And no LB is going to stop Olsen from having his way, so you'd need a DB to help there too. Hell, 20 year old me could rush for 1000 in that offense. But Stewart would break records. The weakest position on that team was the WR group.
-
Good outcome. Everybody's happy now. Just hope DJ doesn't start to get any ideas.
-
Not gonna lie, I probably would have gotten an unsportsmanlike conduct call for blocking some DB into his team's benches. After I told coach how I felt about the gameplan.
-
Well then... yesterday doesn't help anyone. The team will have to give him away for a 6th now.
-
Roger that. If trading him is a strategic move to manipulate the cap... so be it. I just don't think you trade him because of yesterday's outburst.
-
It definitely didn't that he made any attempt to try to de-escalate the situation.
-
Hard to eat that kind of dead money on a WR. If he becomes a weekly malcontent that's jeopardizing the team, then you do what you have to do. Otherwise, let's try to salvage the relationship. Emotions are high right now.
-
Anybody thinking coaches aren't at least 50% culpable for that outburst has probably never played WR or RB. That ish was not okay. I probably would have lost my ish too. He just shouldn't have kept going at him. Say your peace so they know how you feel, then bust your tail to make a play somehow.
-
RA's contract makes him untradeable. He had an understandable outburst that got carried away. He'll be fine. The team will be fine, but it's gonna take a little time to get this group on track again. Hoping Wilkes can begin the process, but he can't ever come out with an offensive gameplan like that again. Ever.
-
This is why I don't want a defensive HC. They tend to be SUPER conservative!
-
Cam looked like dog shiite in the preseason his rookie year, playing with the starters. Then went on to break rookie passing records his first 2 games. There's still hope for Corral - if he can stay healthy.
-
At this point, Curtis might be better as a RB than a WR. He makes Ted Ginn look like Cris Carter. Dude has no idea how to track the ball in the air. Maybe he should play center field for a slow pitch softball league in the off-season.
-
PJ has the physical tools. He just seems to want to force throws into double and triple coverage multiple times a game. He'll be having a great game, then BAM! His inner Jake Delhomme takes the light. Unfortunately he doesn't have a young Smitty or MM to bail him out.
-
Ummm... better decision making than PJ?

It’s time to do this the right way

Again, my original response wasn't to your comments. Not sure why you're so triggered and confrontational about the points I made. The argument doesn't match because you decided I was responding to you when I wasn't. I actually think we're mostly in agreement. I never even mentioned #1 pick in the draft. I mention #1 QB off the board. So where we do seem to disagree is playing to win. I think at week 6, the team SHOULD be trying to win. Doing everything they can to find the right positions and concepts for the players they have now. And I agree that means giving more guys a chance to play. To build a stronger overall team. Let's be real, they're picking a QB with the first rounder. History has shown that a stronger team with a QB picked later in the first, will have a better chance for success (super bowl) than a weak team picking the first QB off the board.
